I work (at the moment) in a Birmingham Librar and I would love to take over my library , introduce new services, become a hub etc but the buildings are in a poor state of repair - I may get it cheap but omg the maintenance and repair cost will be huge - also how would you actually make enough money to cover the cost ??? Anyone want to help me get in touch ;)

Hi Kelly, these videos are great! I have questions for you though if you don't mind? I founded a home education group in my village just over 2 years ago for autistic children which now has over 200 families and so far it is running itself from admission fees alone. We are making a profit though this stays within the group and goes towards the workshop costs(I don't want this to change). My husband and myself are volunteering unpaid to run this group at the moment, if I apply for funding for let's say some art workshops( I run these myself) does this mean I can no longer apply these admission fees? I understand that these workshops should quite rightly be free when funding is provided by others but I'm just concerned that when funding runs out my customers might expect to continue not paying entry fees, how do you think I would go about this? I can obviously apply for other funding, it's just the Inbetwen sessons. Also, salary wise, could I claim for the time I spend working from home organising the workshops, advertising them, creating the content for social media etc. I'm already doing all of this currently and have the evidence etc so I wouldn't need estimates for future projects.

Hiya, yea a funded project would need to run free workshops yes. I suggest letting your paid clients as paid and only offering the funded free ones to a disadvantaged group and making a clear distinction between the two. So say you hire a venue. You write that you got three venue quotes. Literally write (got three quotes) on each item 🫶🏼
