Your videos have been extremely helpful for me as I've just had my first meeting with community councillors who are enthusiastic about me starting up a football podcast & broadcasting workshop for children aged 13 -18 from the local community. They have given me advice on how to go about receiving funding and said they they maybe able to fund me themselves once they get their funding through! I've been invited to come and meet their community centre funding manager who can give me more detailed advice. So now I'll be starting up a CIC which will help me receive funding from companies that you have mentioned! Exciting times ahead! Thank you for creating these great videos! Another great video, we're getting club members to donate memorabilia to us so we cab eBay it, trouble is we can't get the eBay account working until we can get a bank account and that's proving very difficult!

This is brilliant, thank you!! I'm just about to set up my CIC and there is a well-established and well-funded CIC (in the same field) which is keen to help me set up - my CIC will help their cause. In fact, I'm bringing in the Founder as a Supporting Director. Can you think of any way we could leverage THEIR profile to secure some funding that can help cover initial overheads for our brand new CIC? Thank you!
If they have some funds could you ask them if they would be interested in you running an activity? Are do a partnered fund raising event. Using their profile and community but joint forces to fundraise to get your activity funded so you can offer them a service/activity. Best of luck with your cic 🫶🏼

I have a CIC, I have been invited to apply for local funding but they offer per project between £300 to £500, how much or what percentage could I charge for leading the project?
Depends on what we want to do. But as a guide I just applied for 500. I will run three youth art workshops. I will take £400, £100 for paints
Can you get funding as a sole director for a CIC? As I do not have a co founder?
No you need unrelated directors 1 or 2 plus you :)
