Thank you for the vid. I started my CIC almost a year ago and not received a penny which is frustrating after putting a lot of time and effort into it. The national lottery rejected me 3 times it for these reasons - We asked you to tell us how your community came up with the idea for your project. We want to know how many people you've spoken to (virtually or in person), and how they'll be involved in the development and delivery of the project. When assessing your application we did not feel that you had sufficiently involved people from your local community in developing your project in comparison with other applicants. You mentioned that you in the process of running a survey on Facebook and plan to carry out surveys around Stockport and Manchester but to consider offering you a grant we would expect this to have been concluded before you apply for funding. We need to see more specific information such as how many people you spoke to and why they thought the project would make a difference to their lives. We sold services to the council for 100k per year but eventually they withdrew funding and recruited to officers to do the work as it was cheaper!!
