I would love to see that, as well as the passengers apologising for shouting at Thomas when he was high. Still a great episode! I can definitely see that being in either season 1 or 3 if it was real. I can imagine that is way worse than having fish being stuck in his boiler.

@@AidGumIt is a serious problem and causes a lot of injuries and deaths either through bodily effects or the actions taken while under influence. Comedy isn’t really worth much when someone ends up hurt or dead because of it.

The boys were later caught but couldn’t be charged as marijuana is legal on Sodor. Thomas was later relentlessly teased by Henry for not being able to handle himself while high.
This is my canon ending to the story.
The other engines wouldn’t stop teasing Thomas; he felt very silly indeed.
“Thomas was bugging out bro noided as hell” said Henry, letting off a woosh of steam.
“I was not! I just don’t fuck with Indicas.” Said Thomas, indignantly. The little blue engine was feeling very bothered.

This is something, a message about drugs and how it's bad, especially what happens to victims of substance abuse to humans and/or, in this case, engines.
I thought it was gonna be like a parody sort of video like what comedy shows used to do back in the day, but nope, it's an episode about a serious topic! Very nicely done. Thomas clearly didn't enjoy tripping out... I never do drugs, but I'd imagine it's a horrific experience.

Man, Thomas had it hard. You can’t let drugs take control of your life or that will ruin it.
Thomas be as high as Harold and taking a journey beyond Sodor.... and here i thought the only thing engines would ever get high off was the gold dust. 🌟 Jokes aside an important message to tackle for an episode, the awareness of drugs and the harm they can cause; not just for people, but the environment and other living things as well.
Remember kids.... share hugs, not drugs.

To be fair, you handled the topic very well! There wasn't anything inappropriate, and Thomas' trip was depicted very sensibly.
The only things I'd change are having some sombre music playing during the trip, more shots from Thomas' warped POV, and - as idyllic as this would be - a scene of the lads getting arrested.
Otherwise, a very good take on a common problem! Excellent work ^_^

It would be even better if that sombre music switched to different pitches to show how detached from reality Thomas was becoming.

Yeah it certainly works better than Sir Topham being offered a Brownie since other times he's had food jokes like Fish & Chips, Toast and Marmalade, Hot Buttered Toast and beedy eyes on some cakes and buns at a fayre.
This would feel like another lost episode of Season 1 or 2!

This is a beautiful story. I love how you made an episode based on that drugs is illegal. Kinda reminds me of the "Sonic Says" PSA's. I HATE SMOKING! I would absolutely LOVE to see a part 2 or maybe even a extended cut, where the 3 boys get arrested. Great job, Miller. Can't wait to see more of your content.
this made me think of that Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue special where characters like Bugs Bunny and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tried to save a teenager from drugs
Wow… This was handled really well, as someone who was unintentionally poisoned by marijuana via a bag of peanuts thanks to my (now at the time) friend when I was 13. I honestly felt the same as Thomas. I felt I had let everyone around me down, I bawled my eyes out, and thought I was going to jail myself. I didn’t even know what pot smelled like before that incident. I honestly felt so stupid for not noticing. This was honestly a great, mature, story that has a great moral and makes me remember to not affiliate with the person that spliced the snack.
Edit: sorry about that story, it just made me remember a scary memory I had dug deep into the back of my head. I know that was kinda cringy though, and I do apologize if anyone cringed while reading that.
This is one of best fan-made Thomas episodes I have ever seen. The mature subject matter ranks up there with actual stories from the books and episodes from the TV show. Very well done.

Poor Thomas, I would recommend he get his tubes cleaned too, clear out those bad ashes.
This really is a very subtley scary episode in the fact that Thomas-who is a very pure engine-has some form of elicit drug in his system and ends up feeling the effects. Often this idea is something often joked about, but you actually took it very seriously. I couldn’t help but feel scared for him!
For an episode about a (quite literally) stoned-out tank engine, it was suprisingly serious! I enjoyed this quite a lot and liked how it tackled such a serious issue lol

A very good story over illegal substances. The actual show would never consider to imitate and portray a mature subject in a kids show, however I applaud you for covering this in a creative way with the steam locomotives.

I'd love to comment something nice under this but overall this is a very harmful message. Cannabis is not something that will make you "shake uncontrollably, See bright colors everywhere or be paranoid." Cannabis is used for medical aid and has been proven to help with: Cancer, Epilepsy, depression and much more.
At no point in my life have I heard of a backed study (that wasn't later confirmed false) that Cannabis has any of the effects listed in this video. The actual effects of Cannabis are much more minor. such as muscle relaxation, a sensation of cold or hot hands and feet, and in general the person consuming the Cannabis is much more slow and thought out.
This video very clearly had very little if any research put into it. Please do better research in future for topics like this. :/

To be fair, I googled the effects for marijuana ABUSE. And I am fully aware it can be used for medical aid. I have never taken it myself, or experimented with it myself, so I can't say I'm an expert on this. The whole point of the video was based off a meme a friend sent me, but I decided to turn it into a (kind of) PSA episode about what SUBSTANCE ABUSE can do to you and your loved ones. Did I use the wrong drug for this, maybe.

Cannabis doesn't really need a PSA if you get me. Even with ABUSE of Cannabis it should be stated somewhere in said video about the benefits of said substance such as the medical side. Cause having the whole video be "anti-Cannabis" ends up giving off the wrong message and could confuse younger fans in the community if not labeled correctly! :/
i understand the whole thing being a joke but it is a bit hard to see it as such when it seems to be taken as serious as it is!

@@themillerstation If it makes you feel better, as a former instructor of an undergraduate substance abuse course, I can tell you that the effects of THC (marijuana's psychoactive component) may vary among individuals. Furthermore, marijuna, like any drug, can be laced with other drugs (there were some concerns about fentnyl laced marijuana a few years ago). If Thomas got LSD laced marijuana, it could easily cause the effects you described. I do not consider myself an expert in the area by any means, but I did learn enough to be able to teach about it for three years.
lesson learned: if you do drugs, Thomas will be watching.

I felt terrible for Thomas when he started to cry in great stress from experiencing the effects of the marijuana thrown into his firebox. 😢 I certainly believe in how scary drugs can be by not just your vision changing your world view but the other nasty effects from it including being addictive and able to cause cancer. I won’t breathe that shit, never.

This is a good representation of what marijuana could do to an engine. I like the detail of adding saturation from Thomas’ point of view, showing him hallucinating
Henry loved to tease Thomas about getting into the special Welsh coal, and when Thomas angrily blew steam at him he often mocked getting high, talking very slowly and giggling. "Wooooow, Thomas. That's the good stuff, right there."

This should've been a real episode, I don't care if it doesn't fit with the rest of the stories, it works and has a good moral, everyone that's mentioned is in character, it's short and to the point, this is perfect for the actual show before HiT ruined it

An interesting concept- using Thomas as a means to talk about substance abuse like a PSA. Very novel indeed. Well done on that front. A bold step into unexplored territory and without making it a joke like in parodies or YTP.
Though a lot of places are now de-criminalizing weed and it's being repurposed for medical purposes in various ways. Where I live there's like a store on every corner that sells medicinal weed, and it's apparently been beneficial to a lot of people. Heck, I use CBD oil and edibles if I'm under a lot of stress or having a panic attack- and it actually works. Even my own mom, who's been to hell and back with cancer and chemotherapy, is finding that medical marijuana and its derivatives are actually improving her health, both physically and mentally, and she's still in remission. Heck, the medical variant has even been used FOR treating substance abuse with no adverse side effects. Times are changing, but I applaud the effort and creativity you put into this.

I think it was less to do with grievance and more convenience, really. They wanted rid of the evidence, and Thomas' firebox was left unguarded.
