I am looking to fit an aftermarket android radio onto my 1st Gen Hyundai i30. My question is regarding the mounting cage. Is original mounting cage reusable for my andoid radio? My problem is that the mounting screws are facing front vs sideways on the majority of aftermarket radio mounts. thanks for the video!
Honestly like this - I don't know. I should look at what it looks like in reality. (what is the case on the android and on the original case) I don't have any i30 available at the moment. If I get a chance to check it, I'll let you know.
@@30pokerface30 Screw driver was a bit thick in my experience. You need something a bit thinner to open it up slightly then you can wedge the flat head screw driver in and pop off. Just an FYI, if you have a storage section above the radio on the dash, then you need to unscrew the screws in there before trying to lift the whole face off. I learnt the hard way! :(
Thank you. That helped. I wasn't being forceful enough on the clips above the vents!
Thank you for this👍🏻
is this a double din sized head unit
Excelente 👍👍
thanks!

I have the same issue, the original mounting frame doesnt fit my Sony headunit. Did u find anything?
you guys are awesome thank you
Do you need a special tool for that, or sqrudriver is enough?
You can also use a screwdriver, but be careful not to damage the plastic or crack it
@@tehnicalife Thanks I will try.
@@mwont how did you go with just screw driver? Thanks!
