WOW! A Queen sized Crochet Blanket is a very valuable gift. True Crochet can not be machine made. So, step mom is entitled af while a spa treatment is nice. A blanket like that is a reminder of how much they care for you. I wish I still had my Crochet blanket from when I was a baby that my mom made me.
"True Crochet can not be machine made" Anything made by a human can be made by a machine if it's designed well enough. All those sweat shop jobs that human rights people scream about kids doing in 3rd world countries will eventually be replaced by machines doing the work in the 1st world where the products are actually sold eventually. It's inevitable - especially as robotics becomes more capable.
@@mnomadvfxnot most forms if crochet, because of how it is made. There are industrial knitting machines and sewing machines had to reinvent the craft, but crochet requires complex weaves of a single thread through multiple loose loops, which makes it hard to make the intricate patterns of the craft. In all this time, the closest they got is a machined box stitch that can do one single type of simple crochet, or cheap lace... but the good stuff is still hand made. The machine stuff are fake, cheap, and rather unappealing.
My daughter has a crochet blanket she has had since birth, it’s basically a knot of strings. She is 11 now and sleeps with it every night. My 14yo daughter crocheted her a square that has a button to keep it in so it doesn’t completely fall apart. She learned to do it just for her sister. Now she has a niece and is crocheting her a blanket.
According to lawyer Ugo Lord and Law by Mike, Squatter's Rights throughout USA requires the tenants to make an official decree and pay the land taxes.... which OP paid.
Squatter's rights dont apply so people need to drop that argument. You have to live somewhere for 7 years and have proof you have been paying the property taxes the entire time. There was no lease, no rental agreement, nothing. OP skipped the system. Morally he should have issued a 30 day writ of eviction, the family could take him to court but it would be a waste of time and money.
Varies by location. Where I live you have to live there for I think 15 years, and pay property taxes for like 5+ of them. He paid the property taxes so they can't claim it, however I think most places require an actual eviction notice (with at least a month's notice to leave).
@Clouded-Logic the question is did HE (OP) get an eviction notice and how long was the notice till move in date? If he didn't get a notice they were also trying to illegally evict him. Either way in a court of law hes probably ok. They'll look at him weird but when they hear he was a resident of the home as well as the owner and the family were illegally trying to evict him. He should be ok. Especially since he paid all the bills took care of everything in the house and probably fed them.
For squatters rights don't they need to be actively squatting there? They were out on vacation and refused to talk to OP, so OP could argue that they thought they abandoned the place.
Or he just like feeling like the men. A lot if guys believe the woman shouldn't pay for things. Muslim really believe all money is hers but her money is never his. She makes money for herself and he makes money for the family. A lot of men like it like this.
New subscriber here thank you for the great stories! I hand crocheted a blanket for me and my 6 ft 6 husband that took me 2 months to finish so I know the dedication it takes to make something from the heart!
The 2nd story they both refuse to clean and his son handles all household expenses and the house waa already his. On top of that she refuses to clean as well so he has to hire a cleaner. I admit i am more bias for people that handle the lions share of financial responsibilities. But if you're not contributing financially at least you can help upkeep the house. The father was being responsible. Also if youre planning on being with someone forever how is signing a prenup a dissrrspect.
Last story - What is wrong with your step mother and father? I think I'd rather the crocheted blanket that I would have around for years showing the love my step-daughter has for me daily more than a few days at a spa that the memory of which would fade over the years. The crocheted blanket had way more of you built into it than the spa weekend did, all you did for the spa weekend was pay while you spent time and your hard earned money to hand make the blanket. Your father and step mother seem to have skewed views of what is valuable. Good gift OP given to an unappreciative person .
You should have pointed out "oh I'm sorry I didn't plan out something big to cover up for your shortcomings of not preparing a big surprise for your wife's 50th birthday, I thought that since neither of you raised me you would have put all your efforts and money on her as always" if they want to act so entitled they can deal with you burning bridges, 6 months of hard work on a blanket is way too much to let slide as of it were a "best mom ever" cup from the store around the corner
She should just take back that blanket because the stepmom is so ungrateful and entitled. Her and the dad expecting OP to make the same effort for her as her mom who raised her is laughable.
The person who said OP was the idiot in the second story is the actual idiot, the OP is worried about his son and just wants to protect him he can asume what he wants about his daughter in law because what she’s doing is mad suspicious, not paying for anything(even the wedding because even though she doesn’t pay for anything else and should have plenty saved up she suddenly doesn’t have anything again), most likely not even giving him gifts(assuming from when he said she didn’t pay for ANYTHING). If I were OP I would definitely ask for a pre-nup as well because she seems like a total gold digger but I would tell my son that I was looking into her background or hiring someone to see where she spends her money because if it’s not something important then I would ask why she’s spending so much money on things she doesn’t need when she needs to pay for living in someone else’s house. Btw OP probably does care about the money because it’s his sons money for the future, he doesn’t want his son falling back on him because OP wants him to be strong and not have to. NTA
Story 1: I agree with the choice, not the method. Legally, in the US, you have to give them a formal notice varying by state. Typically 30 days. You can face some serious legal issues if they choose to take action. Then again, you could also take legal action on abandonment.
Except they haven't been paying tenants. They have been staying without rent for years. If anything they owe him back rent to defray the cost of property taxes.
Not sure how is this possible in America but where I’m from if you don’t have a rental contract and pay rent you have no rights and are not considered a tenant.
(F* off, RUclips!) Story 1: I can’t help but notice OP’s family is quick to shame OP but not as much to take in OP’s mom and her new family. It is OP’s house. Not theirs.
Exactly. Squatters without even notifying the local govmt that they are squatting which leaves them zero avenue for legal action. He was even paying the property taxes.
I feel dad abt the money lol, he knows this girl doesn’t help out at all! so why would his dad want him to blow thru his money on a wedding that the bride isn’t helping with at all and she’s already not helping with they’re day to day life he’s blowing through his savings already🤷🏾♀️
It sounds like you're just trying to protect your son and his future, which is understandable. Hopefully, he'll realize you're looking out for his best interests, even if he doesn't see it right now.

They can't have squatters rights Because if you leave the house for like 2 days And you're claiming squatters rights Then you're not Entitled to squatters Rights you abandon the house so they can legally kick you out and you can't do a thing cause you didn't pay rent.
Story 1: OP is not the A-hole. I'm glad he kicked them out. They have had years to save up to buy their own home. OP never made any tenancy agreement with these people, so they are not tenants.

Some men just want to pay the bills and let the wife do as she pleases with her income. That's his choice. If it doesn't work out, it's on him not OP. It is a bit concerning that she isn't using her money to contribute to the wedding. If she isn't paying bills where is her money going?
If this is the first post of one I saw ages ago then she was putting most of her money into their goose egg shared account since she was poor and came from a bad environment the goose egg keeps her calmer that if something happens they will be OK. She signs the prenuptial without telling her fiancee then has him sign it a little later after talking with the dad. The dad paid for the wedding as an apology. Truthfully the dad was right to be worried. Although this could of been two separate but similar instances and the son may not of made a post on this story but a different one
Story 1 OP may have to do it differently to get rid of them. It doesnt seem like they paid rent but maybe squatters rights. She kicked him out of his own house as child she is lucky he dudnt do this sooner
Inheritance: If people want to get into legally speaking, what law allows someone to evict the owner of a house from the house? I'd love to hear about it. Trust fund: The sister got some released early to start a business, something that can set her up for life. His wedding is not that. A wedding is basically a big party. You can become married without a wedding ceremony. If getting a prenup is all it takes, then why not do it? A prenup protects both parties evenly. If one is written to be too one sided, it would be voided by any judge. If she has an issue with it, then that is a red flag. Personally, I'd point out it is the brides side that is suppose to pay and offer a partial release equal to what her side can manage, contract included to ensure they can't back out and the couple can reorganize. Step mom: Those blankets cost several hundreds to custom make. If she doesn't appreciate it, then that is on her... Story 2: I cannot believe how many people out there were legit thinking that OP was the idiot. Let’s recap. John is about to marry his gf or two years. That’s fine. Fiancé doesn’t make as much as John does. That’s perfectly fine too. Now here’s the kicker… has the finance contributed any kind of financial compensation to John, like helping contribute however much she can towards the rent of the condo they’re living in? NO. John outright admitted that he pays for everything. HOW IS THIS NOT A GOLD DIGGER SITUATION?? Like ok she doesn’t make as much money. Understandable. But she hasn’t offered to atleast pay something to help out with finances. The finance is a gold digger and unless she starts helping out however she can financially, she’ll continue to be known as a gold digger. Yall are idiots for thinking OP is an idiot
The people calling the trust fund dad an idiot are actually the idiots. His son has nothing in savings so he should release the trust fund to pay for some over the top princess fantasy? His son just gave him all the proof he needs that he's not mature enough to manage a large amount of money.
Story 2. That fiancee found someone willing to,fund her lifestyle so she can spend all her money on herself. I bet if John stopped buying her gifts and tells her to start contributing to,the household expenses she would drop him and find another sucker to pay her bills. Op is right to be concerned but he has to let his son learn the hard way .
My mom knits. Time is money. I can guarantee she spent months knitting that thing. Ergo, she actually spent more on her SM's gift than her mom's. Screw her.
MOTHER DEFINITELY. !! MENTALLY //. EMOTIONALLY. ///. VERBALLY. ///. &. FINICALLY. ABUSED YOU !! ALL 2. MAKE A MAN &. ANOTHER WOMAN CHILDREN. HAPPY ! SO BOYFRIEND WOULDNT LEAVE HER
But its his house and his rules. He lives in thqt house hes not a landlord hes the owner and resident of that home. He has more of a right to that house than his mother and step family.
I would have cried if someone gifted me something handmade for my birthday people from my family gave me perfume or makeup when everyone knows that I’m an artist and don’t really like these things the step mom doesn’t know op’ worth
Ok this squatter right thing i keep hearing and seeing it doesn't apply. It wouldn't apply due to the fact they are relatives thats like saying your parent leave for a year due to work or other things and you try claimming squatter rights when they come back when they try to kick you out. It doesn't hold up it becomes a cival matter in the eyes of the law.
Nah bro he's not the idiot he can kick whoever he wants out the house and u literally said he gave them no warning to get put bro wasnt u listing he gave them to weeks to get out
Yeah her dad trash so is the step mom your mom relationship is what u and UR MOM HAVE so a BONUS MOM. She has kids it’s their job and your dads honey I’m sorry your gift was not enough but honey it was

Bro u made the right decision
My mom knits. Time is money. I can guarantee she spent months knitting that thing. Ergo, she actually spent more on her SM's gift than her mom's. Screw her.
Your stepmother is not your mother. Your dad and her actual kids can step up
Is there updates?
They’re not paying rent so they r not legally tenants right?
The dummy commenter at 5:30. He is not a landlord. There was no agreement. They didn't pay him anything. He owes them nothing.
MOTHER DEFINITELY. !! MENTALLY //. EMOTIONALLY. ///. VERBALLY. ///. &. FINICALLY. ABUSED YOU !! ALL 2. MAKE A MAN &. ANOTHER WOMAN CHILDREN. HAPPY ! SO BOYFRIEND WOULDNT LEAVE HER
Wedding story yeah you were done wrong!
If they are not paying rent, then they are mot tenants
i get really into a story then no update the pain xD
Not the AH.
Your son is a simp, and you warned him. But then it is his choice what he does, not your problem.
The first story has been in one of those videos already.
Last story: I wouldn’t give her anything else that’s for sure. Stepmom is very ungrateful.
Anyone know who op is for the first one? Would like to check their profile and see if there were any more updates
Story 2: she is a gold digger, and they need a prenup.
You should have gave special gift to stepmom
But its his house and his rules. He lives in thqt house hes not a landlord hes the owner and resident of that home. He has more of a right to that house than his mother and step family.
She kicked you out then you kick her out that's revenge
i thought OP cld js go into another property he has
I would have cried if someone gifted me something handmade for my birthday people from my family gave me perfume or makeup when everyone knows that I’m an artist and don’t really like these things the step mom doesn’t know op’ worth
I'm on your side
Yeah lawyer up and bro has proof due to his dad will left for his son
But apparently it’s not selfish to kick ur 17 year old daughter out to keep ur boyfriend happy
Excuse me but wtf do these people get all this money to waste?
Hard to get into a story that is so alien to the average lifestyle
Squatters rights are bad
They weren't tenants so there is no tenants righrts. She was a parent living off you.
Soooo where a family when they kicked op out. SO WHAT SHE WAS DUNB TO GET KBOCkED UP.
No❤
Op should get camara in case the try to get in the house
Nah bro he's not the idiot he can kick whoever he wants out the house and u literally said he gave them no warning to get put bro wasnt u listing he gave them to weeks to get out
Yeah her dad trash so is the step mom your mom relationship is what u and UR MOM HAVE so a BONUS MOM. She has kids it’s their job and your dads honey I’m sorry your gift was not enough but honey it was
dont say stupid
No
Stop. Saying. Family. Dynamic.
Just write the stories like a human being and not a self help book - it's extremely weird.
im not sure your in the right or wrong here.
5:20 please shut up
😅
Wow
story2:your not the idiot you care about your sons financial security because your sons girlfriend is a leach
