Please, whatever you do, don't watch this movie. I'll review about this sometime soon, but I'm just processing what I just saw and really need some time to think.
@@brendanness Well I like it for sure, but am still hugely disappointed by what it could have been. I mean, that it's a decent movie doesn't mean it's a decent Star Wars movie
I’ll sum up the comments. “How dare you have a different opinion then mine! Go back to doing game grumps compilations because I think that’s all you should be doing since I forgot this is your channel and not mine!”
Opinions The Video I personally liked it, that ending scene was very top tier and i think you're a little overreacting by making a vid announcing you're gonna make another vid about how you didn't like this movie lol
I’m gonna speak on behalf of everyone here since most of the people here don’t understand opinions. I will agree on you with some points but I disagree as well. But we do respect your opinion on the film as a whole and we hope to keep our trust between one another after this. Good day to you sir.
Idk why so many people hate on this movie for not solely being fan service. They didn't ignore the potential of their characters, rather they were developed along the lines of the motive of the film: Rey's parent's should have been nobodies, Luke can't save everybody, and the trilogy doesn't need another Palpatine in the form of Snoke. I loved ep VIII, thought it was immensely thematically innovative, and as a standalone film, was phenomenal.
Terry Fyed I did like it when they freed the alien horses and used them to destroy the city so I wouldn’t cut it out entirely, but trim it way the fuck down.
It felt way too out of place for me, it was going for a really serious tone with the entire plot but then in Canto Bight it just felt like I was watching a Harry Potter spin-off or some young adult shit like the Maze Runner or something
They can't let the movie be its own thing. It has to repeat the same points of the original trilogy or its garbage in their eyes. These types of moviegoers are exactly why companies shovel out the same movies every year
Drew Sippel to translate. Rey should be a Mary Sue Luke should turn into a dumbass and a pussy and we should build up a bad guy and then immediately show that he’s worthless. I didn’t really want a copy cat palpatine or a fan service movie like the force awakens because that was terrible but I so wanted the movie to be actually good
Watch the original six films, and watch both the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone wars miniseries, and the CGI Clone Wars series, and just stop after Return of The Jedi. Thank me later.
Slurpuff The Sweet I’ve actually seen them all, but so far, the only ones I liked enough to watch more than once is the Force Awakens and Last Jedi. This new trilogy (so far) made me a fan. The original trilogy is worth it to watch, though. But I’d avoid the prequels and Rogue One.
It was better than the prequels. However it felt small in scope, had too many plot holes, and just didn't provide as rich a back story. I didn't love it as much as the originals. But it was better than 1-3.
Jesus this like to dislike ratio. In my opinion it was a strong meh. What probably caused many fans to be so upset with the movie was that they were told that it was such a great movie that is was one of the best in the series, and then it was a big letdown. Nothing will beat Empire Strikes Back, nothing. I don’t think the ninth addition to the trilogy is going to be any better than the previous one. I’ll like just to help out.
I can’t stand The Force Awakens, had low expectations for this movie, and was pleasantly surprised. I’m salty af at certain parts but I have more positive than negative things to say
Garrett Haslam seriously. He's talking about it like someone died. It was a fine star wars movie. No one liked ESB when it came out either. Star wars is meant to be controversial and challenging that's it's charm. To not really get that is to not really get star wars or it's success.
There were many disappointing parts in it, but I wouldn't say I hate it. It just seems like lost potential to me. I won't go into spoiler territory but I think the fan rating on rotten tomatoes is about right, and I don't know why the critic rating is as high as it is.
I was utterly disappointed by this movie. There were some good parts yea but overal- wait a second. I sound like an OT fanboy. So this is how they felt about the prequels. But nevertheless, that doesn't mean other people shouldn't watch it. Everyone has different tastes and if you loved it, then that's great!
There was so much lost potential with the Last Jedi. It's not a good film. Its direction goes everywhere, it doesn't know what it wants to be. It's just a mess.
Your first upload in forever and it's this instead of Game Grumps? Vent your frustrations somewhere else and get back to compilations. You're half-a-year behind.
You kind of picked the wrong fanbase to make critical reviews of Star Wars for. Most of the GG fanbase just want to laugh at funny voices, and the demographic for Star Wars are people that just want to clap when they see a Star Wars reference. "Hey look its the Millennium Falcon! I watched Star Wars!" *Clap* *Clap* . I agree the movie was garbage, but you don't have a cultured following so expect little support.
>you don't have a cultured following so expect little support. What an incredible sentence to type out. So if someone disagrees with you they lack culture? looooool
Same dude alot of TLJ was very insulting to moat long time fans and most of it wasted the potential it had with the characters but i was angry with the final result but all in all its an ok movie at best but its not the worst of the worst id give it a 4.5/10
Joseph Pena thanks for proving that nerd culture creates the most entitled people ever. This is for a new generation. Not everything is for life-long Star Wars fans.
Bieti im not entirely sure why my opinion was proving that nerds are the most entitled but really this movie was not as great as its being set up the story is all over the place and the like 35 minute sub plot with rose finn and poe (that entire story couldve been skipped if the purple haired woman just told them the plan) that ultimately led no where kinda ruined any flow i felt the movie had. Many people were so excited to see luke again and he was wasted and went out on the most anticlimactic note ever...dont get me wrong I thought the movie was visually amazing but the story and characters just bring it down

I fucking adored the Last Jedi
Do you still adore the last Jedi?

I’m sorry that you hated it, but I quite enjoyed it myself, even though it has a lot of issues.
I liked it.

Drew Sippel Agreed, except for the whole Canto Bight scene which can be removed from the movie imo

I've never seen any Star Wars movies
Watch the original six films, and watch both the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone wars miniseries, and the CGI Clone Wars series, and just stop after Return of The Jedi.

Count Orlok You are the only person I have seen who recommended the prequels.
Say what you want, but they're more watchable than anything Disney's put out.
Count Orlok damn, you really must be inbred.

Last star wars movie I'm gonna give a shit about

The hype train. You fell for it, brother.
The Last Jedi is a terrible Star Wars movie when compared to the others.
As a stand alone movie, it’s fine.
It is good in all objective regards.
It's a good movie, even when compared with the others.
Browser Junior just like all these shitty Star Wars sequels
As others have said, its weird combo of sheer genius snd unfathomable stupidity
