Star Wars Episode III all deleted scenes [UNEDITED]

- I did not edit the video or changed the music, like I saw in some videos I have watched. Even when this mean that I got content ID claims for the whole video, I just wanted to keep it original.
This video includes all deletes scenes, which I think are partly only available on Disney+.
The quality is not that great and there are some audio issues, but I still hope you like it. Кино
lucas was really like "yea this is a great scene. delete it."
Look at episode 2's deleted scenes. They would've made Anakin way better in that movie. Luckily episode 3 was still a great movie
I think it was a studio demand, Lucas wanted a 4-hour long movie, but the studio wanted to trim it down to 2 hours or so. So Lucas deleted various scenes even ones that would make episode 3 even better than already is.
More like "That wasn't in the script. Delete"
It was moreso a case of trying to nail the core of the story without it becoming too bloated. Lucas removed many scenes from ROTS as he felt that the focus needed to be solely on Anakins fall. There's lots decisions that get made in the editing room, as that's where all the raw material is accumulated.
Plus, Lucas tried to keep the films to around 2 hours each as he wanted all 6 films to work together as a neat 12 hour saga. He's always said that he views Episodes I-VI as one movie.

I love how this video feels like watching a new version of the movie that devolves into ps1 cut scenes
Reminds me a little of the Episode 3 game cutscenes but worse
The funny thing is that a lot of these sequences actually made it into the Lego Star Wars games, because they were actually released a couple of weeks BEFORE the movie did, and were in production at the same time as ROTS.
I really liked all the friendly banter Anakin and Obi-Wan had in these deleted scenes. It would've added a lot of heart to the film and strengthened the brotherly bond Obi-Wan and Anakin are supposed to have, making the end of the movie all the more tragic.
They kept in all they could of it, literally a joke every minute between them in that first act
I'm kinda happy that Obi wan tearing open Grievous' chest and ripping off his lungs just to throw them 5 meters away and shooting them didn't find itself in the final rendering of the movie. It just seems too.. Uncivilized...
Would you say it took your breath away?
It's not a Jedi Way
Yeah that was like something you’d see from an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie 😂
That was really dark. Would have had me looking side-eye at Obi.
Honestly, I think Obi Wan Deserved to do that to Grievous, because after all that happened to Obi wan throughout the clone wars, he definitely needed to take it all out on Grievous, even if its Uncivilized lol.
Anakin and Obi wan debating what R2’s beeps mean is hilarious and I’m genuinely disappointed that got cut from the movie
It's just the most WTF moment I ever seen in Star Wars (postlogy doesn't count).
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tye
I think that needed another take. Christensen’s delivery really didn’t make it clear that he was agreeing. It took too much of a second for me to finally get it.
That was so funny I'm in disbelief
some of the comedic scenes could’ve totally fit in the clone wars and tied in with that shows writing perfectly
I like how episode 2 had deleted scenes that would've made the movie better. Episode 3 was already the best star wars movie imo but i think the comedic stuff would've been a nice touch to make it better
Hmm
That whole elevator scene fits right in. Loved it.
Maybe if they ever do Episode III in the Clone Wars style, those might show up. 🤔
It would also show that they're Jedi and are relaxed in situations that would terrify most people
5:27 I love how they have their own language with the subtle face touches - master and padewan knowing each other perfectly
and completing each others sentences , I love the two of them
'subtle' you say, as the entire separatist force just stands there and lets them chat to each other
These scenes seem like some of the only ones with personality and genuine friendship between obi wan and anakin. I wish more of this was left in
That’s why they were cut. Can’t have the characters feel like actual people.
Just watch clone wars
The whole movie showed friendship between Obi and Anakin. What are you talking about? They were cool until he turned Sith, unlike AOTC.
I am glad they left it out, the CGI was not up to standards
@@treali yeah that’s true too
Oh my Gosh! The scene in the elevator after they tear up the Droids and Obi-Wan says "Roger", and Anakin replies "Roger" was hilarious!😂🤣😂 They should have kept that in the movie!
If it were up to me some of these deleted scenes would've been added as flashbacks in the Kenobi series.
I'm like number 500!

66th like 👌👌
1:53 The "Roger" joke makes Anakin so absolutely likable and I'm bummed that didn't get its four seconds. The most life you get from Hayden under in the movie. It plays to the meta-joke of how little of a disposable threat the droids are, how the enemy military would joke about them, and is a send-off for them since they never meaningfully encounter those droids again.
The scene with Qui Gon explaining Jedis becoming one with the Force, which was also in the novelization, absolutely needed to be in the final film. It helps explain the important aspect of how killing a Jedi does not mean the end of his consciousness. The novelization also explains that the reason the Sith cannot duplicate this power has to do with selflessness, love, and sacrifice, which the Sith cannot achieve....which is why there are no Sith ghosts.
There's the ghost of Darth Bane though?..
that might be something obi wan learns by the end of the obi wan series im pretty sure thats whats intened he learns how to be force ghost by the time of a new hope
@@HyakuJuu01300 where Jedi can materialize as forced ghosts just in general the stith are bound to a place or an object so they can have a ghost that can appear to people but only when that person comes in contact or near with whatever object or place the sith has been bound to
@Warlord they aren’t really ghosts though. They are more like imprints. Left behind to teach, frighten, possess or guard. I think of it like a horcrux or a ghost from Harry Potter. Not a true spirit with self awareness. Just an imprint left behind. Whereas a force ghost of a Jedi has true consciousness and self awareness. Spectres like Bane or Momin are just imprints of themselves they’ve left behind. It’s why Yoda wasn’t even phased by darth bane. He wasn’t really there. Just an imprint left behind to spook anyone who wasn’t a sith away from his tomb and any sith secrets left behind.
@Auxzide Yeah I like this explanation. It’s like Darth Momins mask that darth Vader was using in his work to try and bring back Padme. It tried to possess him.
I love the first few minutes of Anakin and obi wan. The part where Anakin is like Beep Boop means up, I think... and part when they both say roger after killing the droids adds so much human quality that was missing in this part of the movie in my opinion
I concur. A lot of the Anakin and Obi-Wan scenes remind me of the Original Trilogy. A similar warm and friendly vibe, with lots of corny but charming banter.
That beep up and beep down part just felt really weird.
I guess mimicking Droid beeps is just another force power of Anakin's we were unaware of.
However , I'm sure this is just my lack of deep knowledge as far ass Star Wars goes , but I don't ever remember seeing someone using a translator to understand their Droid.
The edited in beeps are supposed to be Anakin speaking binary, right?
@@xxwhispersxx2856 yeah kinda weird
It's very badly acted
2:00 this scene right here is something that really makes you realize these guys are good friends and enjoy each other, makes the ending that much sadder
Interesting how in the original duel, Anakin had a red lightsaber. The reason for why that wasn't used in the final cut was because two blue blades contrasted better against the fires of Mustafar.
Yeah, plus the blue saber adds the tragic nostalgic element of him being Anakin Skywalker.
@@MimMdance Yeah, that works well too in that he only wields the red saber of the Sith once he's fully become Vader, once again helping to distinguish that Anakin and Vader are two separate entities
Aaand Obi Wan needs that blue lightsaber so he can give it to Luke in episode 4
@@bebinaflasica Oh yeah! That too. Though, if Anakin was going to have a red saber, I wonder if Obi-Wan was still going to recover his blue saber from elsewhere?
The first teaser poster for ROTS in November 2004 depicted Anakin with a red lightsaber - the movie opened in May 2005. So the idea for having two blue blades must have been comissioned late into production when the poster had already been drawn.
@@onemoreminute0543 he could always find a random jedi lightsaber and just say to Luke that it belonged to his father. There were a lot of unused lightsabers at that moment anyway.
I really liked what they had in mind for Kenobi vs Anakin, it truely shows Anakin’s drastic increase in force power and him throwing around the lava is really cool
shoes, ok
It would have been very op.
I hate it's opinion
I like it except for how Obi-Wan beats Anakin. I prefer it being that Anakin made a very costly manuever in arrogance rather than a mere slip-up.
@@theopportuneson699 yeah well I mean his attempted jump was made solely out of arrogance but I get your point.
I'm still hoping one day we can get a four hour DVD release of this movie. But doubt it will ever happen.
This depends on if Disney wants to recoup its losses. And realize how much money they can accomplish by adding the missing 35 minutes from new hope, the missing 48 minutes from empire and the the 4 hours from return.
Alex Koronec Jesus, are there really 4 hours of cut material from Jedi?

'CGI clusterfuck'
You do know that the prequels had more practical effects than the originals? They didn't stop utilizing miniatures, puppets, makeup, and real life location shooting.
The newer digital tech was just talked about more at the time as it was... well... revolutionary. Jar Jar was one of the first digital characters to have a main character role in a film and Attack of the Clones pioneered the use of digital cameras.
The simplistic idea that 'originals= practical but prequels= digital' ignores how films are made. The tech used for every scene was chosen based on what would best fit.

Homeboy said "I got you bro"
Having Dark Sideous be thrown back and flee as an army of Stormtroopers come in was much better than what we got. It first established that Yoda is slightly stronger & was going to win if he hadn't escaped with backup. Instead we got Yoda just running away after falling.

General Grievous: so uncivilized Kenobi
The Mustafar sequence is interesting to say the least; Anakin is full of himself, and in the very moment when he is charging another of his heavy and destabilising strikes, here comes Obi Wan who chops his legs. That's it, Ani's legs are gone, dude falls and picks fire. It's kind of harsh and less theatrical than 'You underestimate MY POWER!' but it really make sense.
The anakin and obi wan interaction on the invisible hand gave me huge clone wars vibes
I like the hand signal they were making in front of General Grievous. Has no place but was so funny.
But this scene just reinforced that Anakin and Obi-Wan were more like brothers than Master and student
12:58 The feeling when you're shot so hard that you turn into a PS1 character. RIP PS1 Plo Koon
It's interesting that the unfinished Order 66 sequence included the deaths of Luminara and Barris. Those are no longer canon because we know from Rebels that Luminara survived Order 66, but was killed later and used as bate for other Jedi survivors. And we haven't seen Barris since she was arrested after it was proven she framed Ahsoka. She may have been executed, but who knows? I already knew that Shaak Ti has a lot of deaths. I think it's generally agreed that her canon death is stabbed in the back by Vader.

I just love the edgy anime duel that Yoda and Palpatine have in the extended sequence. The extended close ups of their eyes, doing the "face the camera and look back" thing...and the final bit where Palpatine vindictively blows up the big screen with Yoda's face on it before peacing out is absolute poetry.

It's always been a shame to me that "Alright...I still have much to learn" couldn't be somewhat recycled for some other scene. That, and the senator meetings planting the seed for the rebellion.
I'm fully on board with including the deleted scenes for Order 66's execution, it really gives you an even bigger dramatism that as well as the released cut captured to a large extent, would have been even bigger. I'm not sure I love the way the battle between Sidious and Yoda is extended here but I definitely support their fight being much longer

I find it fascinating how the extended Boga chase has Grievous using Maul's face under the mask. I realise it's almost certainly an insignificant placeholder, but it would honestly make so much sense for Grievous to be Maul. It would explain why he's a cyborg, why he's treated as a personal enemy of Obi-Wan while Anakin hasn't even met him, why he's a lightsaber specialist...
