Honestly, they already went so fucking over the top with these two grandmasters, why not go for a bit more? The cameras and extra lightnings really makes it that much more dramatic
The Mustafar sequence is interesting to say the least; Anakin is full of himself, and in the very moment when he is charging another of his heavy and destabilising strikes, here comes Obi Wan who chops his legs. That's it, Ani's legs are gone, dude falls and picks fire. It's kind of harsh and less theatrical than 'You underestimate MY POWER!' but it really make sense.
It's interesting that the unfinished Order 66 sequence included the deaths of Luminara and Barris. Those are no longer canon because we know from Rebels that Luminara survived Order 66, but was killed later and used as bate for other Jedi survivors. And we haven't seen Barris since she was arrested after it was proven she framed Ahsoka. She may have been executed, but who knows? I already knew that Shaak Ti has a lot of deaths. it reminds me of reading romeo and juliet or oedipus or something because going in you know it's gonna end really sadly but you keep going from morbid curiousity.
I'm fully on board with including the deleted scenes for Order 66's execution, it really gives you an even bigger dramatism that as well as the released cut captured to a large extent, would have been even bigger. I'm not sure I love the way the battle between Sidious and Yoda is extended here but I definitely support their fight being much longer
If Disney wanted to ingratiate themselves with fans, they could release a special 3 hour long complete edition of Episode III with all this extra content completed with finalized VFX.

You really see that these scenes are more inspirational, than true script. George let his animators try some stuff out and some made it into the final cut. This version of Grievous death is brutal and hilarious though XD
Okay, Obi-Wan and Anakin cracking jokes after watching Shak Ti get run through by Grievous was a straight up MCU-humor moment and I'm glad that got cut.
The shot of Anakin walking in the Jedi temple after killing Shakti, there's another version of that part where its just him walking but in a different setting. It's actually in one of the trailers for Revenge of the Sith.
Ah, No. There is a shot of Anakin walking down a metallic corridor on Mustafar. Hardly "another version" as you claim. After reading your comment I actually went and watched the trailer in excitement looking for a never before scene of Anakin walking in the temple during order 66 as you implied, and was very disappointed to discover it didn't exist!
@@jtcustoms4297 A better and more accurate way would be to say; in the original trailer there was a similar camera angle used but in a different location, which showed a brief glimpse of Anakin walking down the metallic corridor following the Mustafar slaughter.

"How many other lies have I been told by the Council?!"
There's a 4 Hours cut actually
I always felt the fight between palpatine and Yoda was too short, this would have been amazing to see.
The anakin and obi wan interaction on the invisible hand gave me huge clone wars vibes
I just love the edgy anime duel that Yoda and Palpatine have in the extended sequence. The extended close ups of their eyes, doing the "face the camera and look back" thing...and the final bit where Palpatine vindictively blows up the big screen with Yoda's face on it before peacing out is absolute poetry.
That extended chase scene with Grievous was insane lol
26:12 Damn Grievous a straight menace for that one.. 😂

The entire sequence is ridiculous
General Grievous: so uncivilized Kenobi
It's interesting that the unfinished Order 66 sequence included the deaths of Luminara and Barris. Those are no longer canon because we know from Rebels that Luminara survived Order 66, but was killed later and used as bate for other Jedi survivors. And we haven't seen Barris since she was arrested after it was proven she framed Ahsoka. She may have been executed, but who knows? I already knew that Shaak Ti has a lot of deaths. I think it's generally agreed that her canon death is stabbed in the back by Vader.
If you’re talking about unmasked vader no this isn’t canon 😂
her canon death is anakin stabbing her thats confirmed by yodas vision in the clone wars
TCW is hardly worth being considered Canon at all
@@CommanderRex- TCW is canon.
@@DOORKNOOB well if it is then whats the story with the first episode of the bad batch? Is that not supposed to be her? She was shown to be stationed on Kamino.
23:23 i love how Palpatine is so petty that he destroys the tv with Yoda's face and not his while making an entirely seperate hole to escape 😂
😂
14:08 I knew it, Kermit is the Sith Lord
Surprising the Kermit as the emperor video wasn't in this video
31:43 Obi’s fatality on grievous really like “aight bet. Ima bend yo ribcage, cut off yo hands, take yo guts out, shoot yo guts, then kick yo body off a cliff”
I watched these multiple times when I regularly watched my dvd in 2006, but somehow I'd completely forgotten about that sideways hanger scene, and the original cut of Order 66.
Half of these come from that old DVD, the other half - including those you dont recall - come from the 2011 blu ray
27:29 Is no one gonna mention Grievous literally flinging clone body parts at Obi-wan?
and to think, if obi wan would have beaten anakin this way, we'd live in a world without "it's over anakin! i have the high ground!"
Bro fr
22:43 i love the way Yoda takes a nap midfight
That fight felt like some anime bs in star wars. Honestly it was badass though
I wish they would’ve kept the scene with Anakin speaking like R2 because that was so random and funny 😆
Yeah. It really was funny. I was laughing so hard, while watching the scene. 😆
watching this makes me sad because we know where Anakin's heading.
Same as watching the clone wars...I enjoyed it but there's a heaviness Bec you know it's going to end the same way

The animation of anakin and obi wan on mustafer is funny af 😭😂😂
15:51 that’s the part that has me dead 😭
Sureal intertainment 😂
Lmaooo
Anakin looks like he’s holding onto obi wan like their on a titanic 😂
The tension is real
The fact they call him “Annie” instead of “Ani” broke my brain
I'm fully on board with including the deleted scenes for Order 66's execution, it really gives you an even bigger dramatism that as well as the released cut captured to a large extent, would have been even bigger. I'm not sure I love the way the battle between Sidious and Yoda is extended here but I definitely support their fight being much longer
Shakti is the Krillin of the Star Wars series. She just can't stop dying in every scene she appears.
If Disney wanted to ingratiate themselves with fans, they could release a special 3 hour long complete edition of Episode III with all this extra content completed with finalized VFX.
Wish they kept the Yoda vs Palpatine fight. Hands down the best display of Force abilities in the movies. Would've loved to see Palps try Force Draining Yoda as well or Force Repulse while Force Dashing away.
The Senate ceiling caving would’ve made awesome spectacle after the Force explosion
Exactly my thought! That would have made the right 100x cooler but I honestly think it was a budget thing, same with Anakin vs obi wan
they did keep it
@@riversoleil7527 noooot like that lol. The deleted scene is like 3 times more intense than what we got and 3 times longer. Very different but some of the same shots were used, yes.
Force Speed is only ever shown in PM by Qui Gonn and Obi-Wan. It negates a lot though as you just speed away. Why didn't the Jedi do that when Faced with imminent destruction?
the extra scenes for the first chapter of the movie make it seem like a rescue/stealth mission going disastrously wrong and i love it
Christ some of the unfinished shots are just downright hilarious!
26:05 the close ups on Obi, the beast, and entire train sequence absolutely sent me bro!
These 30 mins of deleted scenes are still better than the entire Sequel Trilogy imo.
I love the idea of Yoda's shadows on the Emperor, and the secret signals Obi Wan and Anakin had
I really like the senate scene yoda vs Palpatine, just seeing those different perspectives on the tvs were really cool and I think that would have looked great in the actual movie
Kung Fu Yodal Love it.
I would have liked a lot of the Obi-Wan and Anakin scenes to have made it into the final cut. I want to see more of their dynamic around this time in live action, which is why I was very disappointed that "Obi-Wan Kenobi" didn't feature any flashbacks to the clone wars. I loved their chemistry in Revenge of the Sith.
Yep. Straight up, Obi-Wan-Kenobi show was sadly boring. THe only good things were the fights between Obi-Wan and Anakin (but even there could have been a more interesting choreography)
Seeing Plo make out of his cockpit makes my inner Dave Filoni cry.
You can tell they never really had a good idea of how anakin would lose his legs
Or how to kill shaak tiii 😂
You really see that these scenes are more inspirational, than true script. George let his animators try some stuff out and some made it into the final cut.
This version of Grievous death is brutal and hilarious though XD
Y, more than questionalbe that they could have doneall the action sequence it is more over the top than the fast and the furious franchise lol.

I’m sorry I love that beep scene the facial expression Anakin makes, I wish it stayed in the movie.
Okay, Obi-Wan and Anakin cracking jokes after watching Shak Ti get run through by Grievous was a straight up MCU-humor moment and I'm glad that got cut.
Agree
Run through? 👀
@@chrisk1489 I think that was the one you was talking about the corridor on Mustafar one
@@jtcustoms4297 Dude you practically said there's an extra shot of Anakin inside the Jedi temple in the trailer, are that is simply NOT true.
@@chrisk1489 Sorry I spelled it wrong a bit, I probably should have said "There's a similar shot of that scene but it's in a different location"
@@jtcustoms4297 A better and more accurate way would be to say; in the original trailer there was a similar camera angle used but in a different location, which showed a brief glimpse of Anakin walking down the metallic corridor following the Mustafar slaughter.
Imagine if during the scene where they were balancing on the beams and the droids were firing at them while magnetized if Palpatine accidentally ignited his lightsaber to deflect bolts out of instinct
Obiwan: “Chancellor?”
Palpatine: “Uhhhh I stole it off Dooku”
Obiwan: Dooku had a curved hilt…
Palpatine: ANAKIN HELP THE JEDI ARE TAKING OVER
This is so good! 🤣🤣😂
🤣🤣
The deleted scenes where they are being quirky makes me think of how anakin and obi wan were actually like during the clone wars series
13:22 This scene was probably too brutal for Yoda mind - how a Jedi-Member got crushed by a AT-TE 😂
That beep boop scene was so good
Yes. I was laughing so hard, while watching it. It's just funny! 🤣😂
It's always been a shame to me that "Alright...I still have much to learn" couldn't be somewhat recycled for some other scene. That, and the senator meetings planting the seed for the rebellion.
them making an extended cut and finishing up rough scenes would make a whole new movie out of this worthy to go to the cinema again. George said the original cut was somewhere between 3-4 hours.
George lucas really looked at the editors and was like, "Good, delete them."
"delete them now. DEWIT"
were these scenes filmed or just raw unfinished cgi stuff?
14:16 is my favorite part. I can't take this seriously.
I understand why some of the Anakin and Obi-Wan scenes were cut. They have a lot of plot armor and they already had some in the movie itself.
So nobody is talking about Obiwan vs Grievous? that was INSANE
Jedi temple: is being attacked
Shaak Ti: this is fine
Some of these could’ve remained in the final cut of the film to give it the humor that the originals had, honestly.
Lol dead Jedi go brrrrr
1:28 'Master destroyers!' Maan the same vibes of Episode I of Obi with Qui-Gon.
so "lava ground" was supposed to happen. My goodness these extended fight scenes go on forever and I'm so glad they were shortened in the final film.
Yep say what you will the final film actually has somewhat decent pacing and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome
@@ikariiprince Indeed. I can't imagine how frightened John Williams would have been had he'd seen these though I'm sure in the development they never planned on being dragged out by THIS much. Having done 2 movies already after being rusty made George relearn how to pace a movie a little bit better by cutting off excess fat.
@@EclipseHedgehog as George Lucas said himself: I may have gone too far in some places
These are fantastic. Some of the sequences would be amazing to see fully realized.
