Hello, good video! I have a Mares Bolt SLS, and woul like to improve two things: 1) the front weight pockets: I would like to keep it a more snug fit than the original 'loose' , they kind of move front and back. 2)I would like to eliminate the "taco" effect on the bladder, specially with smaller tanks. Would you recommend anything on those matters? like a bunge or something else? Thank you for your attention
It's still a good purchase nowadays? It has pass 4 years already Is it reliable? I'm planning to buy a BCD wing type and this one seems to be a good cheap choice Would you still recommended it? There are others that I've been looking at: -OMS IQ Lite mit Performance - Dive Rite Hydro Lite - Hollis LTS Could you list them in preference order? Thank you from Canary Islands!
Hey +modde68, there are only a few subtle differences apart from the cosmetics. The Bolt has a cummerbund, greater padding on the back and more lift from the fitted bladder. Either would do you well, the Bolt is made to be more comfortable with padding and cummerbund to stop movement and the Pure a stripped down version. I'd be happy diving in either and if you're wearing anything more than a 3mm then you should have enough padding there anyway Safe Diving,
Sure, Wing BCDs are a little different from Jackets but they're not difficult to use. A lot of schools are starting their students in Wing BCDs from the beginning, so you'll be fine
I just bought this from your shop recently. Might I ask when packing it in a dive bag, is it better to keep the SLS weight pouch separately or attached to the bcd?
Did you find out the answer? I'm no expert but logically it might be better to separate the weight pouches from the BCD. The BCD might then be more easily compressed in a bag while the weight system can be slotted into a small nook somewhere else in the bag. It also might be good for travelling as well to spread the weight/bulk around in different bags to.
What is the different of the black and the grey handle.of the sls.system?

I've heard that you can also convert this BC to dive doubles, what do you need for that?
It can hold two tanks. I'm wondering how that is done, too.
Neal thats done with an extra tank strap

Whats the difference to the Mares PURE SLS, except the traveling and light-wheigt features? The PURE is much more cheaper.

Safe Diving,

Would you recommend this wing-style BCD for beginner?
