I forgot to say, I skated my bearings in the rain one too many times so my bearings need to be replaced. But for real, 2-years on those same bearings and no issues.
Does it havr some flex ? And can you please compare it to the ripper you bought ? I do my best to understand you but don t have a hight level in english. You also modified à lot your ripper . To finish you seem to prefer the com8.
Interesting question. No I wouldn't. I'm actually quite happy with it as is. If I had an unlimited budget I'd happily experiment and change up different things, but I'm not dying to switch up anything. If I could, I would get super narrow, lightweight rkps (maybe those aeons) for a bit more turn and stability. Could be a fun thing to try if anyone has them on hand
Standard sir from reddit! All of your content is prime man! 4 years (which is longer Than MOST rships lol) I have a freedive reef! God I love this board. 2 plus years now
Comet is a unique brand for sure. I'm probably getting an ethos deck on sale soon to begin my dh journey but i often look at the cruiser because it's so cool
Original price of 250 was totally worth it but after they upsized their operation and dropped their cost per unit while also skimping on consistency .. paying near double is a rip. Any long thinner board with wedging larger softer wheels and a longer wheelbase does same-same and can be tweaked for personal preference to be even better.
@@JW-kh5ep Not everyone has trust funds, quota employment, or can rely on daddy/mommy help so portraying a board that costly as "must have" is disingenuous, bad for the industry AND skaters. brHo
I've had multiple fiberglass boards and it's always a problem eventually as the fiberglass on the edges is uncovered due to wear. One solution is just hitting the edges with a bit of spray-on polyurethane clear coat, just be sure to mask off any surfaces you don't want extra clear coat on.

Abuga, the people’s champion! Thanks so much for your continued commitment to sharing your experience with the world.
Riding this board on the weekend to chase that poontang. Respect.
You're styles are global. I met a guy who was rocking a downhill254 Tshirt in California. I was visiting from another state.

Excellent review thanks for the recommendation, how do I learn more about the pros and cons of bushings? Different types, quality brands etc?
You can learn a bit more about bushings here:
ruclips.net/video/v-Dg4Y0gpL0/видео.html
Some quality brands are Venom, Riptide, Hardcore, Seismic etc.
Can you compare the comet to your upgraded setup for the LY ripper? I'm looking for a playful/carvey LDPumping cruiser.
You should review the pantheon karma wheels and compare them to the mcflys
Hypothetically, if you were helping with a redesign, would you change anything about the length/width?
Cheers!

I bought this board 2 months ago because of your video. And it was worth every penny!! I even setup my landyachtz dinghy with 5° risers because of it.

I just bought this board to start doing downhill :)
Would the board be suitable if your stance is at least 21 inch?

Great video, thank you 👍
Mine got stolen out my car, still one of my favourite boards. I went way to fast on this thing 😂

Cool story bro. Now buzz off.

Hey! Great video! Just a quick question, do you have that issue with the fiberglass on other boards as well or just this one?
Yup, had the same experience on the Orbiter, but only after flipping it a bunch
@@AroniDeliquint thanks for letting me know! I just might save up for this one...

Good idea, tnx.
Just found your channel and subbed. Hope you come back soon, bro!
Do you still make content or what?
I do on my other channel - downhill254
Nothing interesting for me to make content on these days :(
