Great video! And YES, that surfy part of the skate footage was really cool! 👍 I’d be curious how this one compares to the Landyachtz Schooner. They seem pretty similar to me…but I’m no expert like you. Would like to hear your opinion if you’ve tried the Schooner. Love your content man. Thanks and keep up the good work! 😎👍
psyched to see you get into the distance thing, I'm certain you will excel at it and look forward to some scenery of your country. i fell out of shape pretty bad, weight gain, tobacco, drinking... now i regularly do 30-45k all the time. Looking to do Ultra Skate next year.
You make a very good case for this board as an all-rounder and I am looking to buy something. Shame about the 10 month wait. Two questions: if availability of wheels is a problem do you think they would sell without wheels? Also i was looking at the DB Wolf Prowler - it is longer but similar in that the wheelbase is long compared with board - do you know anything about that board by any chance?
I think wheel availability has become less of an issue, and now it's decks that are the bottleneck. I'm nto sure, but they are still a small team and that is what is holding them back. I think Happy board co makes a similarly sized cruiser, adn so does Aeon skate, don't think they are as flexy or light tho Wouldnt go for the db prowler as a cruiser. Haven't ridden it but looks a bit big if you want something similar to the comet
Wow you guys have really nice smooth roads! I really want to get the Comet Cruiser but I'm afraid I won't be able to ride it until the winter 8 months later. It seems like the flex, wheels, soft risers, and setup contribute to a smooth ride. Are there any other comparable boards that can handle rough city roads and cracks as smoothly and is portable?
I feel like this with the Comet Shred. Cruiser too flexy for my liking. But Comet in general makes the best cruiser decks hands down. No company compares. Tried em all. Always come back to my Comet Shred.
Why is the wait time so long(10 months currently? A longboard deck can't be that hard to manufacture. Your reviews of it have me wanting one, but I am already 40 years old and I live in cold New Jersey. So by the time I got it and it hit riding weather again I would be 41.
Hello, I will probably receive my Comet cruiser next month, do you have accessories to recommand to make this cruiser more durable? I was thinking of a nose guard but the good ones (PK noseguards) kind of look heavy, so they might cause some imbalance while riding and I don't even know if they are the right size. Or maybe, I should keep the cruiser 'naked'?
After watched your review an year ago, I ordered the board. Finally I got it yesterday! 10months painful wait is totally worth it. This is a beautiful board. Thank you! But I really struggled with my ollie with this board(I can ollie quite well with normal boards). Any tips? might help many other boarders like me.
So this board has convex instead of concave, right? I see some rocker, so I don't think it has camber, unless it has some weird bacon rocker-camber like on older freeride decks.
@@LongboardingExplained Reminds me of the dude who freerode a chopped and upside-down Loaded Dervish. So the cambered and concaved Dervish became a rockered and convexed mini. lol ruclips.net/video/XXzIG-SlD0Y/видео.html
I really don't understand, why they aren't expanding/outsourcing their production somehow. There are thousands of people who want one of these and they just can't produce them fast enough. Current waiting time (according to their homepage) is 8 month and in reality you are waiting even longer. :( If anyone is willing to a sell me a used one, either deck only or complete, please message me! BTW: I love your videos/reviews! Thank you very much and keep going! :)
I would say it is more the shortages of COVID that held them back. Powell weeren't making any snakes for a looong time so they simply couldn't put together the boards. I think they're slowly catching up to the order numbers. And I do think they hired more people. But yeah, it would be nice to get them as fast as possible
Better than the pantheon pranayama though? 🤔🤔 That would be a good comparison since they both excel at the same thing but go about it in different ways as far as design.
The Pranyama is probably "best" too, but in a slightly different way. Both are good if you're leaning towards something very portable, or something kind aportsble but better for distance. Hopefully comparing both soon
I have both. The pranayama is more low to the ground and thus less work when you are pushing a long distance. The comet cruise is way more turny and you can get through a crowd of people and obstacles better. comet is also a lot more fun w its kickball. Pantheon id use to get form point A or point B using the street.
I highly disagree that the Comet is the best skateboard. You haven't ridden one of my custom builds. A comet cruiser will never carve, cruise, or feel as good as my custom built, dialed in Surfskates with a Meraki on the front, set up for carving and cruising. If you're coming from a Comet or similar ride to one of my custom builds, you most likely won't like it as much at first....until you ride it long enough that it feels stable and natural, and learn to ride it the way it's meant to be ridden. Then you will experience what I'm talking about and would never be satisfied with A Comet or any board with regular trucks. The closest thing you can buy similar to mine is the Carver Surfrider. Get a Surfrider, and put a Meraki truck on the front with 4" hangers and give yourself a few weeks at least to acclimate to it. You won't want to ride the Comet as much.

Good vid. Just received my board after 15 months. Love it already and fully confirm your comments. In a nutshell - best cruiser on earth.
I bought it in January after seeing your previous video!
Hard to wait, still 3 months of patience!
got the cruiser after watching your vid! it took almost a year to arrive (11 months after I ordered it) ... its a cool board though

Thats a very tough question and tough to find a board that fits that. The Ripper I recently setup in my latest video is sort of close to that

hard terrain as in rough? It does ok but there are better boards for it for sure

Hmm. What if you're a rider who is close to 100kgs in weight? Is there a weight limit on the Comet Cruiser?
I know it can handle 250lbs comfortably so yeah :)
It will depend on what you like... it's a bit too flexy for me @180lbs, I added some board rails and it seemed to stiffen up a little.
