That Omtatah petition and Counsel Mutuma opinion on partiality and Impartiality would be interesting and would make oversight serious. For Linturi, the Agriculture Commitee woiuld have been expanded and thorough, and the verdict at the plenary becomes final. The select committee seems to have been casual. And their verdict overruled the 149 MPs who had impeached Linturi at the floor of the National Assembly.
Over sight is before a crime is committed, once a crime is commited or noted to have been commited then it shifts to the courts, Linturi should face the law
@RobertAmare-ow1lj You are right; those who committed the crime should face the law. And "those" is not Linturi. Who actually committed the said crime?
This is a waste of time really! Ati new constitution….The system is designed in such a way that the thugs get away with murder scot free. Politics or not…having a decency of doing your job honestly and truthfully.
Bottom line: MPs should not be members of any political party. Parliament should be de-linked from the executive for proper oversight to happen.
