    Gregg is unique as a manager. He doesn't care about those signature wins, he is all about those signature draws. To prove this point in the England game Gregg had the team give up on a potential goal-winning shot to take the draw. Hee made Reyna take the ball out of the box to sit on it ending the match. A free shot just sitting there and Gregg was like nope, this is an epic draw.

    • @mackdeen7021
      @mackdeen7021 19 дней назад +1

      And yet he couldn’t figure out a draw against Panama. That would have sent them through. And forget about drawing Uruguay. They ended up being a losing team in the easiest group imaginable. He didn’t eek out a draw against Panama!!!!! It’s so infuriating.

    berhalter has consistently been bailed out by the sheer amount of incredible talent that the us has, but as this tournament has shown, that is not enough, and it gets exposed whenever we play a team that’s even slightly better than us. he needs to go, he’s dragging our golden generation down and he should never have been hired in the first place.

      Nah, im sorry. A monkey could find ways to create goals with this team.
      Youve got perennial champions league starters in the upper third of the team. The defense is the less talented part of the squad.
      If he had done literally anything, at any level, with any success, id be willing to blame something else. But hes literally never managed a team successfully. I wouldnt trust him with my nephews team, and hes in preschool.

      Pulisic is statistically (at his age and years old playing internationally) the best goal scorer ever to put on a U.S. jersey. And there are other players on this roster that if used correctly would be more dangerous. Teams in the past found goals, and were dangerous in transition despite having less talent and speed in the midfield that currently exists in this squad. Yeah….we also had keepers to bail us out and keep us in games, but we played in a way that allowed us to grind out signature goals in huge games in big moments. This team plays style that has no objective in the attacking third. Yet we have a player who’s scoring goals and making assists weekly on one of Italy’s top teams. It does not add up!!!

    Bayern fan here from the US if we didn't focus so much on egg ball we would actually be decent at this sport now we're just trying to stay slightly consistent and then treat it as a 2nd sport yes the sport is getting more popular here thankfully but still imagine how great our MLS league would be if we focused on this sport a century ago and became more popular worldwide not just in the Us like egg ball

    No, USMNT is never get win even changed european coaches with players not worthy what for to join the team. I feel sorry for US soccer players are not good enough to win in the world cup and copa america tournament in the sport. It means the culture of American is to lose the game cannot win in the final Fifa World Cup and Copa America. Other countries knew USMNT is not going to win entire years because to mark terrible, very embarrasing team, American people does not have desire with passion to win the world cup to get thropy always blame to another problem beside USMNT, I guess the team cannot win I'am sorry American men soccer are not very good on soccer beside women. Thanks go ahead blame to government and other people. Good luck

      Well, the future might be different.
      Berhalter was fired, MLS and football is rapidly growing in popularity which will attract and nurture talent in the future.
      If they play their cards right, the US could become a football powerhouse in 20 to 30 years, which is about 5 to 7 world cups away.

    Tyler Adams said before the Colombia game that Gregg Berhalter said that all the Copa America teams (the real ones) were better at passing in tight spaces than the US, so Berhalter had the team work on this. We had 52% possession vs. Colombia, 39% against Brazil, & 50% vs. Uruguay. Panama was 29% LOL. Nevertheless, the team is passing much better now & moving better off the ball. Berhalter is too focused on high-pressing, and he needs to deploy a 10 correctly. I think Reyna as the right wing was Reyna as the 10 as wings in the Front 3 are often actually in the middle and a 10 when the game starts. I'd prefer Tab Ramos to Berhalter because I think Ramos will play the best players in their positions and correct anything not going well. I don't think he'll cave to fan roster demands like Berhalter did.

      Yeah, your team is far from the best, only a few good or decent players, but talent levels are increasing.
      With your awful coach having been fired 6 days ago, the rise in popularity and thus future talent in the MLS and the 2026 world cup, I'd say start watching them now.

    Canada and the US have the same problem. And its a unique problem that other soccer nations don't have. Our best athletes don't play this sport. Canada's best play hockey and the US best play Football and BB. Until that changes both countries will never reach European or South America top team heights.

    Wasn’t the whole point of the MLS after 1994 to kickstart the American soccer program yet the US doesn’t develop any of their players there and ships their best to Europe to be benchwarmer mascots. That right there is the reason why the US has become a soft team and Canada with 14 MLS players are playing better than the US.
