I am in the habit of ordering my own parts because I used to do most of my own repairs. I am also well versed in the vehicles I own most of which are rare at best and practically obsolete at worst. In the last 30+ years I have developed relationships with suppliers and know where too obtain the hen’s teeth type parts I need.

I prefer for the shop to order parts that being said I know it might be a mark up so it has its pros and cons
Check new parts because they coming in as crap especially camshafts and brakes
