  • I'm finally trying Finnair's revolutionary new no-recline business class seat! My journey starts at Helsinki (HEL) airport where I first visit the exclusive Platinum Wing lounge for Finnair Platinum, Platinum Lumo or oneworld emerald cardholders.
The flight is on a refurbished A330-300 with the new no-recline AirLounge seat. I give an overview of the onboard service, drinks, meals and the seat itself. I had a great flight and loved the no-recline concept - let me know what you thought in the comments.

Who in their right mind developed this seat concept, no recline on a long haul flight, totally mind boggling how the airline adopted this idea. I was going to fly Finn to Bangkok but due to the seat disaster I just can’t go 10 plus hours in agony, might as well fly economy and get a similar experience

Yeah the new seat feels like a safe cocoon. And true, the materials make the whole cabin so quiet. Finnair A330 is a common sight 8:51 in DOH nowadays, they fly HEL/ARN/CPH to DOH, a joint venture with Qatar Airways.

Yep and the flights all depart at roughly the same time so they arrive and depart Doha as a convoy

Thanks Yann... what a great looking flight. Love how that seat and cabin look. Last video started in a pool, so only fitting this one starts in a sauna. 😁 Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thank you for your video! As a Finn, I am very proud of our national airline and I really hope I will have the possibility to try this new product some day.

It's a great product, I think the best business class seat of any European airline. Both the lounges at HEL are great too, especially The Platinum Wing.

    Second😢
Been to Helsinki and had reindeer and also bear. Tasty.
    Amazing Avios value.

Low Avios and even better low taxes - it's always nice departing from outside the UK and avoiding APD (and crazy BA surcharges)

Not sure about the cognac with the berry cheesecake dessert.
Can I suggest a Hungarian Tokaji Aszú instead?

I love these seats as well. Finnair is my new go-to airline when traveling from Europe to Asia. Excellent product, service, and value. 5⭐

I much prefer sleeping in this Finnair seat than Qsuite. Although I think the food and drinks on offer on Qatar is miles ahead.

curious to know why they use a 3 point seat belt?

I've seen this on a few airlines - I believe it has something to do with the seat being at an angle and not facing straight forwards

How did you manage to find flights that require so little AVIOS??? All the flights I searched for require 100000+ avios for business class

    • @FlyManYann
      @FlyManYann  4 месяца назад +1

43k Avios for HEL to DOH is the normal price for business class. Longer routes will have higher Avios cost. Some airlines will let you spend double (or more) Avios to redeem when no award space is available. What route/airline/class are you looking at?

mostly BA business class flights from Heathrow to Asia/America@@FlyManYann . The amount of AVIOS required is outrageous as far as I can see. Or should I only focus on reward flights?
