This is and the other video by DTenacity are the best STARSET live videos I’ve ever seen - especially of the violinist, Siobhán Cronin. Siobhán is a sweetheart who responded to my Instagram comment and is also dating guitarist Brock Richards. Lucky guy!

Honestly he should just program all his effects he uses on the albums into a mic somehow. So that all the effects come out live, but he's technically still singing live. With any other band i'd be mad if they did that, but these guys are all about technology. They should go full on tech and just own that persona. They are supposed to be from the future or w/e so fuck it man build a damn custom mic with Arduino, make that shit voice command so you just tell it what song you're going to sing and it has all the preset effects ready. He sounds good live, it's just difficult to recreate what we hear on the album because there's a lot of special effects thrown in, so not saying he's not doing great because he is... I just like all the high-tech. stuff. I was even thinking about designing helmets for them with actual holographic projections like in their music video. They used special effects for that video, but that can actually be done and if they wore that shit on stage it would be so badass. With enough tech. they could pretty much like like time travelers or something.

During the show i went to they started with the post apocalyptic clothing then after a short interval they changed back to the futuristic style. It seemed they were following a narrative by doing this and i thought it was really cool.
Dustin totally looks like Batman XD in that outfit. I can’t remember which one it is I just know Batman was dressed in similar attire in one of the newer movies
Isn't that usually the case with scientist of our past (for example Nikola Tesla) always bound to dramatic mishaps...I defintely know what you mean. Starset wasn't really welcomed in Tampa a little over a year ago when Seether and Three Days Grace played because they wheren't hard enough. Now how dumb was that 🙄. All three bands put on an increditable performance but I was primarly there for Starset 🧘♂️🌌🧘♀️
He has a bit of rasp to his voice, and he uses that in certain parts to get something that sounds almost like a scream but not quite, probably because he is adding distortion to a lower note then adding rasp onto it. Rather than doing a low fry scream where you have the vocal fry then you add distortion, though you fan tell when he properly screams cause you can hear the vocal fry pretty clearly
They put a lot of money and time into their show. It would be best at night. But, unfortunately they have to be openers to big bands and play in daylight, when their show is best at night a

Keep in mind...Starset has been around for 6 years now. They’re not The Rolling Stones...but they have been around the block once or twice. Keep in mind, nearly every one has made the same comment stating he’s getting better and better (so you’re kind of just overstating the obvious). Keep in mind, I didn’t use a cell phone to record this video. My camera has great sound quality. Granted, the audio wasn’t from the mixer board...but it still sounds pretty damn good. You’re first clue that it wasn’t a cell phone camera...the motorized zoom. IDK, some of the newer cameras may have that now...IDK for sure.

The echo kind of messed it up Edit: also for some reason the drums sounded like when audio lags in games. Overall, nothing wrong with how they performed, just the recording devices mic (probably recorded on a phone, so not the best) and the spot they performed.
@DreamHax ya he used it when his first cd came out. I watched them open for breaking Benjamin a few years back and bought their cd outside as soon as they were done. They also had this wicked transparent sound board that he doesnt seem to be using now.

@@AdamChamness There's no 2nd album in 6 months. Vessels 2.0 was basically just a re-release I wouldn't call it an album on it's own.
