Bought album today. First time in a long time I've bought a physical CD. Really wanted to do it to support STARSET. Store had only 5 copies and they weren't even on the new release shelf. I made room on the new release shelf and put the remaining 4 CDs on it. This album, as well as the first, deserves the respect and attention it deserves.
I don't understand. Usually bands will have really good songs and some okay songs. But starset, all their songs are absolutely amazing. How do they do it.
Starset writes with the assumption that it's being written for the most epic or meaningful story and they'll be taken out and shot if it doesn't do it justice. So naturally, they excel at making epic and meaningful songs. They don't use a single idle word. Much like Flyleaf or Demon Hunter in that regard. Starset ranks among my absolute favorites for this reason. And because they create a universe of their own with their music. Their songs, to use an old phrase, take you out of this world.
What I like about Starset is that their songs gives you that feeling of when you hit rock bottom at some point of your life, it gives you a choice that if you want to let depression and regret consume you until you die, or make a comeback to change your course of history for the better.

My friend got me into Starset with My Demons, but this is the reason I stuck with Starset. I remember, around a month after my niece was born, I was holding her and rocking her. I always sing to babies when I hold them because I just like singing and I know it can help babies relax. This was the first song I sang to her and she fell asleep on my chest while I was singing to her. This is easily my favorite Starset song just because of the memory it brings back of my niece. I still see her quite often, of course, but this one specific song will always hold that weight it does for that reason.
This song reaches inside my heart and exposes how I feel for someone I’m talking to. She is in a tough spot right now. I am doing everything I can to be patient and present but not push too hard. As I sit here in a carpark in the middle of nowhere New Zealand in the rain, listening to this song I feel greatful and emotional every time that I had the opportunity to see Ahuva Ozeri perform this song live.....she had fought cancer, and had an electronic voicebox to speak, but she put it down and approached the microphone, small and frail, and sang this beautiful haunting song with all the pain, life and longing in her voice as I still hear every time I listen.
Man this song hits me right in the feels. Makes me think about my ex gf and how I still love her as much now as I did when I first started to fall, even if she doesn't feel the same anymore and I'd do anything to be by her side, but unfortunately I've been left with no choice but to turn my back and walk away for good. My friend got me into Starset with My Demons, but this is the reason I stuck with Starset. I remember, around a month after my niece was born, I was holding her and rocking her. I always sing to babies when I hold them because I just like singing and I know it can help babies relax. This was the first song I sang to her and she fell asleep on my chest while I was singing to her. This is easily my favorite Starset song just because of the memory it brings back of my niece. I still see her quite often, of course, but this one specific song will always hold that weight it does for that reason.

Don't normally like electronic-like music, but Starset makes it work for me.
I listen to a band called RED and they have a song called Die For You, it's older than this song, but they have an album called "of Beauty and Rage" and I think Starset listens to RED and gets a little inspired by them. Just a theory, but a very possible one.

This song is the one that I had first heard when I was listening to music a few months ago and once I heard this song, I just looked them up and haven't stopped listening to them once. I love their songs.
I discovered Starset through this song last year and I've been following them ever since. I don't know what I'd do if I never stumbled upon this song and it's sad that this treasure remained unfound if not for that one faithful day. It scares me that maybe there's another band like Starset who provides the same sensations but remains unknown.
I met their drummer this last weekend at Indian Lake. I found out he only lives a few minutes away. The band is awesome.

As I sit here in a carpark in the middle of nowhere New Zealand in the rain, listening to this song I feel greatful and emotional every time that I had the opportunity to see Ahuva Ozeri perform this song live.....she had fought cancer, and had an electronic voicebox to speak, but she put it down and approached the microphone, small and frail, and sang this beautiful haunting song with all the pain, life and longing in her voice as I still hear every time I listen.

Man this song hits me right in the feels.
