esim is such garbage, used to be able to simply pop the sim card out of the old phone and pop it into the new one... now we have a bunch of nonsense to go through with the carriers
Yeah I can’t get it to work…it just keeps asking about a physical sim card. My SIM card got fried and I need to do this temporarily until I can get a new physical sim…

My process didn’t go through I had to call Verizon and they did it.. I kept getting a failed error message at the end. I wish this video was out then.. This info was very helpful. Thank you👍🏽

Picked up my 14PM, set it next to my 12PM and was done in like 3 minutes turning up the eSIM. Took another few moments to download all my apps from iCloud but total time was less than 12 minutes.
If you use an eSIM in an unlocked phone, does that mean the phone will become locked by the company that provides the eSIM?? If not, is the SIM slot still operational even though you have an active eSIM??
Unfortunately for me the transfer experience has been horrendous.. haven’t had a cell phone in 2 days now Verizon had to file a ticket for my line… still waiting

For people who keep getting errors when trying to activating it, if your using Verizon prepaid, your not able to do it manually, so basically you just have to call Verizon customer support, but I would recommend going on there website and use there chat support, it was a lot quicker. All the Verizon representative needs is the imei of the phone your transferring cellular TO and phone number. .

Fyi, usm will not allow esim transfer phone to phone, must chat with them and give them the new imei2. From what told me, only those big name carriers verizon, tmo, att will let you do transfer, otherwise u have to contact your carrier to do it. I tried 5 times on my own, all failed. Had to chat with usm representative to do it. It’s a reactivation on the new phone, not a transfer.
Visible i ported in my service and used the esim to set up my iPhone 13 and a month later my dads pixel 6a. Was very easy with both, just need your account number (normally your imei) and your port out pin, app does the rest. A little more than what’s shown, but pretty painless if you have the slightest bit of competency on your phone. (Both numbers were ported from straight talk)
Yes! That's using a feature called Universal Clipboard. It allows you to copy and paste between all of your Apple device that you are signed into your Apple ID on. Pretty cool!
So I used the Verizon Bring Your Own Device deal. Will turning on the new iPhone and transferring my data from my old one but choosing the Set up eSim later in settings option affect the deal? Typically you restore your new iPhone first, and then you transfer your phone number. Make sure your new phone has the latest software update installed before you try and transfer. If you don’t have access to your old phone, then you need to use the MyVerizon app method I showed in the video.
My E sim transfer never actually showed up in initial setup process and every time I hit set up esim under the cellular settings in my new phone I type in the little code and everything just disappears and doesn't work does anyone know what the problem could be.
Don’t know what I did but I can’t receive any calls, texts or call out. Both new and old iPhones. Can retrieve code that’s sent to my phone number. 🤦🏻♂️

You can convert a sim card to an esim in the same phone through Cellular in settings. You don't need two phones. Just make sure your carrier supports this. I know AT&T does, because I did it.

Likely the iOS from iPhone 8 in not comprable the iOS on the 14 , just the iOS on 14 could only communicate properly a few models back and being the esim technology is so new it likely has many kinks

You just need to use the MyVerizon App method I showed in the video. If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can use someone else’s phone as hotspot to perform the transfer. Otherwise you may need to call Verizon and have them do the transfer for you.

Is there a particular reason to use IMEI2 on the iPhone 14 rather just IMEI? Both are assigned to an eSIM.

It is I just did this today and you have to reach out to Visible CS so you can reinstall the esim profile on your new iPhone.

No problem going from physical sim to e-sim but how do i go back and fire up my old sim on my own phone?
You need to either transfer to the eSIM on your old phone, or you need to go to Verizon and grab a new physical SIM card and activate that.

Mint Mobile allows you to do it through their app. Pretty seamless and the set up takes less than 2 minutes.

Not working coming from iPhone 8.

Now explain the differences transferring from Android to Apple. I ask because I don't have a wifi connection near me.
You just need to use the MyVerizon App method I showed in the video. If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can use someone else’s phone as hotspot to perform the transfer. Otherwise you may need to call Verizon and have them do the transfer for you.
