It's not very clear in the video but does it record Left and Right as separate channels? For example: Guitar is only playing on the left and you will see it in audacity on the left channel. In your video it looks like it's the same sound on both channels. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
You are correct. The sound is recorded as 2 very separate channels. So you can use it for mixing and separating the channels. (The separation is around 90db I think). The separation is far better than most analogue sources. That is why the trace looks mono. It was a Stereo source.
hi, so just to double check, if i'm trying to record an instrument that outputs in stereo say into my laptop, would this be able to record that properly as stereo, i.e. either a stereo channel or two mono channels, one for L and one for R which I can then mix into a stereo channel? I can only get mono or a very unbalanced stereo from my current audio interface because of the big sensitivity difference between the mic and line inputs, so hoping this unit might offer a solution for recording in stereo, if that makes sense? thanks @@GaryKeepItSimple
@@pipefx64 Hi, Using this as it comes it will, if installed properly produce a 2 channel input. That input depending on what software you use can be either L and R or 2 mono inputs. I use Audacity as a recording and processing software and in audacity you can make mono, stereo, or 2 mono recordings and if you want to you can then mix or process separately or together. You can mix stereo to mono and if you want you can have loads of channels and process them all as one or separately. We mixed a choir 23 seperate trackes. Ballanced and timed and eq corrected. plus a instrumental track. the results were good and not dificalt to do. the stereo install is here. ruclips.net/video/KeGl0bDgXL0/видео.htmlsi=tYQ0kdtT0T9IoPMH I hope that helps. It could be argued it is not worth improving it because it is CD + quality and consumers do not have access to analogue signals better than CD. I am thinking the pro equipment is higher Res but at higher price. I have covered the m audio interface and that is higher Res but twice the price
Hello! Thanks to your video I confirmed this device is indeed what I needed so I bought it. I was able to connect my digital piano (Go:Keys) with 3,5'' output to PC through UCA-222 (using 3.5'' to 2 RCA male-to-male splitter/converter cable) and the sound is a stereo as it should be. Everything seems perfect - I can listen to both piano and PC output when I connect my headphones to UCA phone output. I can record piano output directly to messenger or whatever mic input (without PC sounds interfering in the recording even though I hear them). The only problem I have is when I connect headphones to PC instead of UCA I can't hear piano sounds, but I guess that's normal mic behavior. If I want to hear my mic input I probably have to use some audio loopback program.
@@GaryKeepItSimple Woah, great! Thanks again! Found it in properties > Listen (tab) > Listen to this device (checkbox) Now i'm all set, all that's left is to test if delay is playable.
@@GaryKeepItSimpleYeah, tested it out. There is a noticeable delay of about 0.25s unfortunately, but I guess that's on my PC. Since it's nonexistent when I connect phones directly to UCA that's good enough for me. Cheers!
When I select 2 channel, do I select the DVD option if I'm transfering from a DVD, and the CD option if I'm transfering from a CD or cassette? Or do I just select DVD for everything? I'm just beginning my journey of transfering my cassettes, etc. to digital (the ones I can't find online), so I'm still kind of clueless with respect to all of this. Thanks! :)
The CD quality will give smaller files than DVD. I use DVD all the time. For tape you may get better results on CD as the source is well below CD Quality so some may say it is overkill using DVD Quality. A bit like using a Rolls Royce to go to the shops to buy a bottle of milk when you could have used the mini which is easier to park, and ready to go. CD is excellent.Dvd is a bit more excellent. I hope that helps.
The USB C or similar converter will connect to the USB input and output on Some Android phones. You simply plug and play. However, not all of the phones allow this. We use a Cubot x30 and it works well on some others it has not. it really depends on the Phone.

@@josephrajansam9583 It may well be that your phone is not fast enough to work. I used it for some apps that were used for testing and it worked fine. You need to make sure your phone is not having lots of apps running in the background. What app are you using to record? it may be that you have to go into your phone via the mic input. Phones are always a trial-and-error thing. there is an app called open camera that allows you to select which inputs the audio is sent in. I know it is a camera but once the sound is in there you can always use in in an editor to convert to audio files. We were using this for a streaming app and it sounded wonderful. Then the App did an update and it has not worked since. However, the audio recorder that came with the phone works fine. I hope this information is of help. Feel free to reply if you need more info.
Hola, una alternativa mas económica y con excelentes resultados y calidad es el "Behringer UCA 222" lo puedes utilizar en el telefono para streaming o videos con audio desde un mixer o ingresar audio a una computadora.

Hello. I have a question if this has a good quality sound as the same usual laptops output quiality. My laptop AUX port is damaged so I’m looking for a good alternative keeping the same quality . Because I produce music . Cheers!
In the settings, you can set either mono or stereo on a PC. In fact, it defaults to MONO if you just plug and play. It is worth checking the attributes for the different quality settings. We use on set to mono. It makes connection easy.
Android users, please take note... This does NOT appear to work on Android, well, at least I couldn't get it to work. Android phone wouldn't even recognize it was plugged in. Hopefully I save someone the money that I have now spent unnecessarily. Works on Windows just fine (tested to make sure it wasn't the actual unit or cables that were faulty), but my use case was Android which is annoying.
I have used this device on a Samsung Tablet and on 2 Cubot phone both a x19 and a x30 and a viao5 with good results using a standard USB C adaptor. On all 4 devices, the Behringer was detected as sound input. I have not tried to output sound as the Bluetooth is adequate for what we used it for. Android is always a "?" as to what is activated. Also, the App used may not address the inputs. 1 app we used it for was wonderful for 3 months, then they did an update and the levels were shot to pieces, It still sees the input but it is nasty and far too high a level to use. The Android "Sound Recorder" app works well on all 4 devices we have. As does "Voice Recorder". You have to regard it as a line-in and adjust the input levels that you feed to the Behringer, however, the results are excellent. Maybe you need to switch on the digital sound input in settings. There is a camera for Android called "Open Camera "and with that, you can select the sound sources. Maybe that would help. Let me know how you get on.
@@GaryKeepItSimple I gave it a try on both a Poco F3 and an old Mi A1 and it wasn't recognized on either device. Maybe I need to do more research? But so far, I've had zero luck.
