Amazing 92, the end of an era. Hope it goes up high on the auction. Whoever lands this automobile, that leather needs conditioner. Imagine pulling into to a Cadillac dealer for service as jaws drop. Late 80s grey, was widely known as gun metal grey.
I kept staring in awe over this one! My jaw literally dropped a few times! This is a fantastic piece of automobile artwork! I'm on a business trip, really missing my '90 Brougham d' Elegance!
What blows my mind is not that you can find all these low mileage gems, but the fact that there are so many out there. It’s clear the people who bought these cars new did not drive much before they were no longer able to drive. Im not sure people actually thought of the Brougham/RWD Fleetwood as future collectibles in the 1980s and 90s. If anything these were the cars people bought for long haul trips with the family before the luxury SUV craze hit. Before the Escalade, you bought a Brougham with the upgraded 350 for the interior space for the family, comfort, luggage space in the trunk, and towing capacity - upgrading to the 350 automatically got you the 7500 lb trailer towing package with a heavy duty transmission cooler. Pretty much what an Escalade is for.
It is not a 30 year old "brand new car". It is a machine that has not been driven properly for 30 years. This car has sat the past 16 years, being driven only 1000 miles. There are many gremlins lurking in a car like this, that haven't reared their ugly head yet, but will.

My 1985 Eldorado is also Academy Gray. Been sitting in my mom's garage for 17 years! Going to Advanced Cadillac Service in Montclair, California within two weeks for full mechanical restoration. The vehicle has 14,000 miles on a dealer- installed 4100 V8.

@@specialtymotorcars why was only the right front brake hose replaced on this car, and not the left? The car is 30 years old, calipers replaced, and the mechanic didn't bother to replace the left front brake hose, but only replaced the right side? Please check your work order from Fullers. No bad on you, but that's unsafe. A brake hose with labor is literally a few dollars when the caliper is already off. Did they bother to completely flush the 30 yr. old brake fluid completely?

Awesome💯Obviously people can do what they want with their property but it’s a shame that so many awesome cars, especially the mid 70’s Buick Electra’s, Caddy Sedan Deville’s, Olds 98’s are collected and not driven. I bought a 96 Buick Roadmaster in 2016 with 22K one owner miles and drive it. Currently 40K.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Absolutely a gorgeous Cadillac. I just wish it had a Cadillac engine. There's nothing wrong with a Chevy small block but it's just not the same. Still someone will end up with great car. I grew up with Cadillacs. My dad bought one every two years for himself and my mother. I have owned several Cadillacs. All "V" models, including a 2012 CTS V Sport wagon. I currently own a CT6 V BLACKWING. Love it!!! My all time favorite Cadillac. A quick story. Back in the late nineties my mother called me (she lived in Ontario Canada and I live in Denver) and asked if I wanted my Dad's 83 Fleetwood Brougham D" Elegance. My dad had passed away in 86 and my mother decided to stop driving so I was offered the car. It was a pale yellow with a white vinyl top and white interior. I turned her down because it sat outside for 15 Canadian winters and it had the infamous 4100 V8. I had driven this car and it was just so slow. Anyway, thinking back all those years ago I should have said yes. Why? It was my dad's last Caddy. I made the right choice but somehow I regret it now. Cheers!
This car was from a time when Cadillac was something special. You were treated like royalty when you bought from a Cadillac dealer. Now they just sell mostly crappy little crossover SUV’s at a dealership that mostly wants to sell high profit GMC pickup trucks.
I worked for a Cadillac dealerdhip when these were being sold. They didn't treat their customers much more special than anyone else at other GM dealerships. Maybe if they had and kept selling luxury cars that llived up to the name instead of switching to FWD cars and then rebranded Tahoes and Suburbans, then maybe people would look upon them as special like they were in the '60s and earlier.
