I remember seeing this performed live more than 45 years ago. Impressive, enthralling. To me, Supertramp were at least as good as any other band including Genesis, Pink Floyd, VDGG. This is excellent .
I've been to many concerts, and if I shall rate them the best of them all would be Supertramp, they were phenomenal. (I have not been to a Pink Floyd concert though.)
They were a much quieter voice than the other bands of the time. But they stay with you. Decades later you remember the words and the sound. When the world stills to allow you to breathe. Even in the quietest moments.
Yes, these songs have so much depth of meaning, so well written, with so much spiritual thought going into them that they cannot help but find meaning in our lives in a world where many don't really care about what's truly important. The world suffers, and all in it in a state of ignorance to our responsibility towards one another and the world around us. We have not as a whole of humanity been good stewards of this earth.
I can see that there's two people that must be completely tone deaf or Beiber fans. How can you possibly NOT like this song? It's a true Masterpiece!!!!!
I've enjoiyed Supertramp all my life and still keeps me satisfied their music, like if were part of the air that I breathe...Que musica tan barbara!!!! ...no dejemos morir esta musica. Thanks Roger, you are an inmortal...
I will never forget at Jarry park two nights I saw them live and I was only 17 years old and still today lam 64 years old and l still listen to supertram.
Thank you, Roger, for being who and what you are, and for bringing such magnificence to us all. My very dear friend, Penny, introduced me to Supertramp on a Friday night with this album. I was completely captured. That Friday night turned into Saturday morning. I had spent the night listening to this album, and a few others by Supertramp. It was a magical time. And it remains so even unto today. Thank you.
Fool'Overture... J'écoute et adore ce morceau depuis 40 ans Une des plus grandes et belles mélodies jamais créés à ce jour. Supertramp and Roger Hodgson Forever and Ever 🥢☂️⛱🔊🥁🎷🎹🎶🎸
OMG. This really takes me back to the 70 and the prog. rocks early times. Roger, you are still the king of voice control. And you still sings as sommerfugl as you did in the early years
A stunning piece of music and theatre from the man who wrote so many of the songs that were “Supertramp” very pleased to have seen Roger and his band play live several years ago. Magic. Peter H Sydney, AU
Comment oublier un tel MONUMENT !!! J'avais 16 ans et à 40 ans après, je connais encore les paroles. Que de merveilleux souvenirs. How to forget such a MONUMENT !!! I was 16 years old and at 40 years old, I still know the lyrics. What wonderful memories !
This Music i can heardly describe. There are so much Details, so much Creativity, i miss this very much in all the music, that we hear today. Sorry about my english, i'm german.
Don't apologize for trying to right or even speak English. Pretty damn good and the song is phenomenal cheers to you from a Canadian of British descent
I Have only seen Roger Hodgson and band perform together in 2010 and 2013 in Adelaide Australia. Must Say the Best concert's I've seen Wow Amazing. Unfortunately Supertramp were never going to Get any better without 'roger'
Rojer..amazing dare I say tear jerking music from a musician who has enlightened the lives of so many people .. a real legend. God bless him and Supertramp
I love Roger Hodgson, I love Supertramp. But it seems to me there were two voices in the Band. And while I love both Rick Davies and Roger, I must say that most of the tracks I love by Supertramp were written and performed by Rick Davies! Always with Love...
Met a lot of people over the years and although i never was a big Concert Enthusiast i did notice fans praising Supertramp as the best live show and lasting impact from their time
I just came from the movie: " Dunkirk " and if ever there was an absolute perfect spot for an all time classic that would fit like a glove it would be Fools Overture by Supertramp & Roger Hodgson. It would of blended the end of the movie w/ the credits so perfectly and it's a heart breaking shame that the producer, director & sound engineers didn't partner w/ Supertramp on this. Both the Movie & Supertramp would of benefited 100 fold. I'd love to hear what others feel about this as they've seen the movie: " Dunkirk ". Thank You
Yet there are these:special people with blessed gifts of spirit that, make life a bit more tolerable and even enjoyable?!!!! I have enjoyed listening to this person since the '70s always appreciated the lyrical Aspect of the music, helps me to stop and think for a moment, which is something that I need to practice in my day!
I saw Supertramp in the early '80s in the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium. They even managed to get thunder & lightning into the performance of Fools Overture.
I grew up listening to Supertramp and 'Fool's overture' is from their best Album 'Paris', I was lucky enough to see them in Hyde Park in London, they are brilliant, and have moving lyrics in their amazing songs!!
One of the best if not the best versions of FO I've ever seen or heard! Stunning and spectacular performance from the whole band!! Roger's 14/15 tour will be among the greatest to attend. His voice just keeps on giving a lot more than a little bit!
Struggled to find some pride for yrs afte starting job thx to Dad and my own apt etc ... seemed great 1st few yrs but then i realized i was a social DUD ;-( your music and words did help me try to keep some logical thinkin going thx much ;-)
Goodness meeeeeee!!!!!! How gorgeous!!!! besides those drums have a sound to die for, so clear, round, warm and beautiful....can't wait for my next show!! woohooo!!
