My brother just sent me this game as a belated birthday present. Hopefully this video will help me keep my sanity until the game is delivered later this week. Thanks Rodney!
My family and I just played through this for the first time today this Thanksgiving afternoon. We got about 90% of the rules correct, however we got it wrong how the symbols on the quest cards work. In the example used in the book we got confused and thought the fight symbol on cards was how you advance through the quest after using the dice (which meant we was not paying attention to each symbol, fight, shield, heal, etc on the quest board as to how to properly advance the token). After the game, I then went to RUclips to see a play through. Your channel came up first. You did an excellent job telling us how to play the game and showing us where we went wrong in the game. I’m even more excited to play again. Playing through once on our own helped us to figure out the turn order and the basics in how the game works. Now that we have all the rules sorted out, it will be even better next time around. Thank you so much. You earned that like and subscribe. I can’t wait to check out the rest of your videos. Happy Thanksgiving!
Very nice of you to share BC, really glad the video helped you identify some corrections to the game play! I hope you all have a great time in your next play, and welcome to the channel :)
This reminds me of the golden age of Warcraft 3 and all these 10 heroes style maps that would spring up then. Good times. I know already I am going to enjoy this board game immensely. Thank you very much for a clear, solid and fluid presentation!
Looks so awesome!! The Pandemic system is tried and true, and the reimplementation here looks great - using actual locations/heroes/baddies. Not to mention the amazing components! This is looking like a winner!
Finally managed to find the time to get into this one, thanks to your video I mastered it pretty quickly, it's now my most favorite tabletop. Thanks again!
I saw this on the target website and decided to watch the video to make a decision before purchasing lol. So great to be able to watch these videos to make sure it's something I would enjoy!
Just found out there's a WoW board game, and this video helped IMMENSELY. I didn't even realize I watched the entirety of it. You are definitely doing the gods' work!
Thanks for the video, I've never played World of Warcraft, but I love the Pandemic system (I already own the normal pandemic, Iberia, Reign of Cthulhu, Rising Tides, and Fall of Rome😅) and I do think this is a very interesting reimplementation of that system, and might even be the most different use of the system to date, so I'm now seriously considering getting this one as well just for the new interesting way of implementation of the Pandemic system it offers.
Yeah, I think even if you don't really know the setting, I think it works as a general fantasy setting too. If you get a chance to try it, I hope you enjoy - you are a Pandemic expert, after all!
You know at first I was going to say, da heck dude? You are at least ten years late and then I was like oooooh its a board game o.o! Didn't know there was a board game. 1:30 remarkably close to hearthstone cards. So glad to see a channel dedicated to great cause.
Rodney, videos always my first go to. Every game becomes so clear. We use your videos if available to learn new games first before reading the rule book. Makes it easier to understand. Thank you! Question: all the quest mini bosses seem to possess an action above their damage as you state on Naxaramus example except Malygos. Does this quest mini boss have any ability related to the mage text? Seems odd they made this one boss compared to the other red quests so easy.
Hey hey Christopher, so glad you're enjoying the videos :) Not sure about the answer to your question, but this sounds less like a rules question and more like a design question :)
Thanks for this indepth explanation. Really helped in getting it going. There were a few question markers for me when reading the rules (Most Likely due to English not beeing my Mother Tongue. This video cleared all to set us up properly~.
Ironically, if you abbreviate "World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Litch King: the Board Game" you get "WoWWotLKtBG" which is actually the incantation for summoning zombies
1) I am making a comment to show my level of engagement with your video (as inspired by the recent TSC Express episode) 2) Seeing your horizontally stored games is so calming, so reassuring that the components will not shift needlessly while vertical. 3) As always keep up the great work!
@@WatchItPlayed It is always great to hear guests on TSC. Also, any time the "Flat Gamers Society" can unite and turn back the tyranny of heathen "Vertical Gamers" it is a good day! ** please note, all of this is in jest and not to be taken seriously. Please direct any negative comments to Don.
@@bakermitchell6209 What if game designers started to design their boxes to be better suited for vertical storage without shifting, or if there are custom insert producers who design vertical storage inserts for games? I agree that I hate vertical storage because of things shifting, but it has a benefit of being able to pull out a game quickly without needing to remove other boxes from the top (or letting the top boxes plop down) in order to retrieve it.
Found out this existed a while ago, and I already preordered it, but I have to wait until late november for it to arrive, since I'm on a spanish speaking country and my local store brings that version. I took a loot at the manual to see how to play it, but your videos always make it much clearer to me. Keep up the good work, amazing video. I can't wait to play this!
Hey! Great video. I preordered the game as soon as I heard about it. Can't wait to try it out. You've done a great job at explaining the game! I have one question: what happens when you have 3 ghouls and 1 abomination on a single location and have to add another ghoul? Thanks!
I played this for the first time and had a blast! Even though I was playing by myself, I didn't play the solo game; instead, I just played 3 characters. I have several questions, though. Questing: 1. When questing with more than 1 player on the quest space, can you use only 1 card to advance the quest track, or can you use 1 card per player on the space? The rules made it sound like the latter. Fighting: 1. If the Lich King is in the color you're fighting and there are no enemies remaining after the fight, do you still lose 1 health due to the King? 2. Can you fight ghouls and abominations at the same time (i.e. during the same action)? 3. If the Lich King is in the citadel, does he exert his influence on all fights on the board? So, for a fight in any color, do you lose 1 extra health? Sylvanas Windrunner: 1. When she fights from an adjacent space, do enemies on her space (not the adjacent space) cause damage to her at the end of the fight? Thanks! I'm planning to post this question to board game geek, too.
Very glad you're enjoying :) I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there. You'll find an index in the description to help you find the section you might be looking for. The only question you asked that perhaps wasn't explicitly answered was Fighting 1) The answer there is yes. Regarding Sylvanas, I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
Greetings Mr. Smith. I was wondering if you could do a video on the regular WOW board game. I find your videos helpful, not only to teach the games, but also to helping me figure out if id be interested in the game. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the interest! I talk a bit about that here: ruclips.net/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/видео.html&t=342 - with the original WOW game, because it's not in print, I can more confidently say that I wouldn't feature it, because if someone watched the video and was interested in the game, it would be very difficult (and likely expensive) to find. Hope that makes sense!
Look...love the channel, it has completely reinvigorated my love for board games and been buying new ones left and right. It just bugs me you don't like to touch upon solo mode...I know the rules are similar but it would help people looking to buy games specifically for solo play incase no one can come over and play. Idk, just a thought. Still love the channel.
Hey Rob, completely appreciate your interest in solo play. The catch is that there are so many games, and so little time, so I feel my time is best spent focusing on the multiplayer rules, which can also get the solo player most of the way there, in many cases. That said, ironically I released a video today that is solo rules only :) Check out Final Girl. We also have a new series that released this year called Table For 1 where we do teach the solo rules for games we've previously only covered the multiplayer rules for, so you might enjoy some videos from that playlist.
@@WatchItPlayed haha! Ooo I already watched it before you replied! 😉 looks fun too and I understand all your points you previously made, thanks for the reply though!
We have actually never even played anything related to World of Witchcraft, but I have to say, this looks like a pretty good game. It is different enough from Pandemic to not make it a remake of the original game. It has a lot of great mechanics. I am going to give this one some thought. Thanks for the great video. This is why I miss watching your videos, they really give me a good idea if a game might be good for us. I would probably never even given this game a second look. But now, it is on my radar!! Thanks Rodney!!
I own all of the Pandemic games, I think. I just got this game for my birthday this week, so thank you for the video explaining the rules. I'm excited to give this one a try! The rules look a bit more complicated than the other Pandemic games, especially with other players contributing cards on my turn. I may have to ask some extra questions.
I bought this game for my 19 year old son who has autism and LOVES W.O.W. ( multiplayer online). Which, to me, is kind of funny because I was very obsessed with WoW from the year 2004 to 2008 (back when the highest player level was 80 and the expansion was wrath of the Lich king Ironically,) . When my son was about five years old, I had to stop playing because of his disability. I had to focus 100% on him. There was no room for anything else in my life whatsoever. So, WoW has always been part of our lives. Sorry, It seems I’m rambling. The point was I bought this board game for him for Christmas this year (2022) and I was very concerned that I was going to have a very hard time learning the game, as I have to do before I can explain it to him in a way that he will understand. I was pretty concerned when I googled how to play this game, I was really worried with the results would pop up with. Sometimes some people make things so much more difficult than they need to when trying to explain an already involved and detailed game. There’s no need for people to show off their knowledge of the game or bring up their own experiences or their own characters or what have you. It just distracts from what the video should be about which is simply explaining the board game, and how to set it up and play it. Some people’s tutorials can become so complicated that their overzealous explanations are too overwhelming and I’ll simply never learn it, therefore will never be able to teach it, and intern will never play it. It would be put into the back of the closet and sit there, forgotten about, until it gets gifted to somebody else. I am lucky that I clicked onto your video first before any other. After watching it, I can honestly say with this video it’s going to be easy for me to not only learn and memorize the initial game set up, each group of cards and their function, how to utilize, where to place, how to move and kill all ghouls and abominations , when, how and who takes damage, and why, how the game flows from action to action and turn to turn, with the goal is, how to lose, and how to win the game. I’m sure that I’ll have to watch your video a few times but you’ve made it very simple and straightforward. I am extremely grateful because it’s already a complicated game but trying to explain it to an autistic person, like my son, is literally speaking another language so I have to learn your language of the game, and then translate it to him in his language. I’ll have to learn the game to different ways in order to teach my son. I’m not sure if that makes sense to you, but I am very grateful to you for this video. This is the very first time I’ve ever liked and subscribed on any video on RUclips or any where before. And I’ve definitely never commented on somebody’s video before, but I felt it was important that you knew how much this video is still helping people. So, thank you and please keep making videos reviewing games and/or whatever you’re into because you’re very good at it. Because of you, this board game will actually come to life in our home and not collect dust. I’m sure if my son could also thank you for this video, he would. I for one am extremely grateful so thank you very much again!
Hi Tiffany, as you are someone who doesn't comment on videos, I am honored to receive your first one. Thanks for taking the time to share this - I can't imagine my work serving any better purpose than this. To know that this is going to help you and your son bond over a shared love of WoW (ex WoW player here too!) means a great deal. As you explained, you have some additional challenges to manage in being able to share this experience with your son, but these are challenges you've clearly been managing with great care and love for a number of years. I am very pleased to have been able to do my small part to make your job a little easier. Here's to many great adventures together with the game, and perhaps even a few victories against the dreaded Lich King! :)
It has little easter eggs for people who know the lore, but if you didn't, it still plays like a fantasy setting, so I think can work for people who haven't played the video game.
During a fight action on your space, after rolling dice, any hero on that space can play any number of “Fight” cards. Each “Fight” card adds either 1 or 2 fists as shown by the number on the card.
Fantastically presented video! I got this game for Christmas and had a blast, although me and my friends were wondering two things in particular: 1. Can we play free actions (card or muradin effect) after our last (4th) action or can they only be played while we still have actions available? 2. For thralls special action chain lightning, do we have to declare the order of spaces we hit before each roll? I would assume it as too convenient otherwise lol Thanks ahead of time!
1. You can play them after your 4th action 2. I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. @@iphatbass I hope it makes it in time for Holiday orders at year end... my wife is done with me buying new games, but I have my 7-year old starting to buy me games :)
Hello there! I'd have 2 questions regarding the gameplay, so #1: If an abomination catches up to me and deals 1 dmg to me, if the LK is also in that region, do I receive 2 dmg or just 1? And #2: If I'm questing on a quest space and a ghoul/abomination is also on that space, do I take dmg from them as well or just the dmg of the quest boss + LK, if he's around?
Hey there, I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there. You'll find an index in the description to help you find the section you might be looking for.
Hi question about the rules, do you must take 4 actions in the particular order, or can you for examole move than fiight than move again than fight again and not rest at all, making those 4 actions?
Hello, I really love your board game explanations. Mainly on the game Villainous. But is it at all possible to have a how to play for the games Card Wars by Cryptozonic and Risk..?
Couple questions, 1st question- Is there a limit to how many of the same actions I can take when using my 4 actions? For example, can I use 3 move actions to move 3 spaces, or if I fail to roll 3 fists to kill an Abomination, can I take 3 fight actions, same for rest and quest? Or can I only use 1 of each action type per turn? 2nd question- So the video example for The Nexus, the first three spaces are travel action card icons. If I have a travel card in my hand, I can "contribute" to move one space per quest action. The rulebook states that it doesn't get discarded. So going back to my 1st question, if I CAN use 4 quest actions while doing a quest, in short, can I contribute the same card multiple times on each quest action to progress further? Or is it a "one time use" contribute? I noticed the travel icon comes up later in the progress track, could I theoretically use that same travel card to progress if it's still in my hand? 3rd question- When activating Abominations, when it's moved into a space with a character on it, it deals 1 damage to that character. Does that 1 damage rule also apply when spawning ghouls into a space occupied by a character?
1) You can repeat the same action multiple times in your turn, so for example, if you want to use all of your actions to move, you can. 2) That's right, each time you quest you can use a single card from your hand - so you could use the same card you had used before. 3) Nope. Hope that helps!
Very well done video and very well explained play. I am considering buying this game. Your explanation was very helpful. Do you give recommendations on games? Do you have any particular pandemics style favorites?
Hey, thanks for the interest. I tend to avoid giving personalized recommendations. What I like, someone else might not - but hopefully you see a few games on here that might be what you are looking for!
Wondering if a player as an action questing while I’m on the same space can I use a card twice if he quests twice? Even three times. Or is the rule only one card?
I have this pre ordered in Polish and while I wait I wanted to buy sleeves for cards for this game, but I cannot find any information about the right size. Could You please share this information?
hi.. does the abomination deal damage if not moved but already on a spot with hero in move abomination phase?..also does jainas passive block that 1 dmg? i am lost
Yes, if the abomination is already in a space with a hero, it doesn't move, it just attacks them. For Jainas's effect, I can't assist there, individual character effects are a little more detail than I can track across all the videos I make.
Two questions: 1- tá The final quest, we can make 4 actions of quest? 2- when an abomination is in The Space of a hero, during the "activating abomination" , the hero takes The damage in every turn due they're destroyed?
Hey awesome video! Just one question when you say all abomination dmg (if there's more than 1) is done at the same time, does that mean that only one hero must take all of it? Or can you spread it if there are multiple heroes in that spot?
Great video! Can you play fight card for adding sucess (+1/+2) when doing the quest? Also can you play any other card matching the icon to progress the quest? (I don't mean contributing without discarding)
Sorry, I'm actually having a bit of trouble understanding your question. What and how you can contribute a card to a quest is explained in the video though.
@@WatchItPlayed I mean, in quest situation when you roll for example 3x success, can you play fight card(+2) to progress further (3+2) with discarding the card like in fight?

This are attached to certain spaces, which is meant to indicate where on the map those spaces are actually located. It doesn't serve a game purpose, just for fans of the game who want to see where on the map the spaces are truly located within the world of warcraft.
Hi, thanks for the video it really helped me. I just want to ask some questions; 1.If I play with Thrall and use chaing lighting ability while i'm in the same region with Lich King, do i take 1damage for each roll? 2.If I play with Sylvanas, what happens if i'm not in the same region with Lich King but attacking ghouls who are in the same region with Lich King? I'm playing solo but part of this question applies to both. 1 if all your heroes are on the Lich King's quest, can they all contribute a card as well, if you have them? 2. Also, I'm assuming you can't use the same card to contribute it more than once in solo? For example: 3 heroes on quest space, you contribute one fight card from 1st hero to advance a space, if the next two spaces on quest are also Fight, can you contribute 2 more fight cards from the other heroes and advance the torch ? Assuming u have 2 other fight cards on Hand. Unless u can count the same one twice 😵💫
I have a question, if you are at one of the Strongholds can you get an additional +1 for using the Free Action Heal Card? Example, we were playing and my friend wanted to do a rest action which he did not have any actions to take left. So he wanted to use the Free action card Heal and stated he should be able to use it and get +1 for the heal card and another +1 because he was at the Stronghold. Can you please clarify, because the way I see it is that a Heal (Free Action) and Rest action are two different actions.
Hi Can Lady liadrin's power prevent an outrun? It says it prevents a ghoul placement so if theres 3 ghouls already can we take a damage to prevent an outrun if the cards on her space or a connected space?

What happens if I have to put an abomination to place where already stands 3 ghouls and 1 abomination? Should I add 1 more abomination and move the despair marker?
I knew I was missing another question. Here's an interesting thought that I don't think is covered in the guide and is Jeff to your conscience. You can roll the dice first THEN decide whether this is best for a FIGHT, QUEST, or a REST (each as applicable). Every turn I'm tempted to do that, but it just feels wrong. What do you think?
I'd say the rules and are pretty clear about this. You pick the action you want to take, and then you perform it. The video doesn't suggest that you start your turn by rolling the dice. You only roll the dice if the action you've chosen to take requires you to roll the dice, but you have to pick your action for the turn first. Make sense?
Great video! I couldn't help but watch so I could learn during my playthrough. I really love the theme, I've played alot of WoW back in the day and it really hits that itch. I do wish the game had more of a reward system, but I really enjoy how challenging the game is.
Just picked this up on sale at target and does anyone know if the flight ability to a stronghold uses an action? Couldn't find that clarification in the rule manual.

Picked this up the other and played it both 2-player and solo.... fun both ways! Thanks, Rodney, for the awesome guide that helped me make the satisfying decision of buying it =) I have a few questions, however, that the accompanied guide doesn't answer (or I haven't seen it myself): 1. Scourge Rise card: It says ensure 3 ghouls on space, and add 1 abomination. This means even if there's an abomination there, add another. Right? 2. If I finish my actions, then draw cards, one of which is a FREE ACTION Heal, sometimes it's so tempting to use Heal at that moment; is it allowed? Or only during "4 Actions" phase? 3. When questing, do the Scourge on the space do any damage to me on top of quest and in-region LK damage? 4. Thrall's "I am the Warchief" seemingly has no effect when others are questing inside the Citadel; he must be inside the Citadel to contribute. Correct? 5. Solo game: When questing, you contribute as many icons as you have heroes in the quest space. But assume I have only one matching icon to contribute and 2 heroes on that space -- I can only contribute that card icon ONCE, right?
1) Correct. 2) Check Page 7: Free Action: "During your “Do 4 Actions” step, you can also do free actions, which do not count towards your 4 actions. You cannot do a free action in the middle of an action, and you cannot do free actions during another hero’s turn. 3) No, the only damage you take is as described in the video. 4) I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there. 5) I didn't cover the solo rules, so can't help with that. Hope some of that was helpful! Have fun adventuring.
If there is an overrun but I have no abomination left, do I advance the despair marker once because I dont have an abomination to place or twice (once because of the missing abomination and once because its an overrun which causes the despair marker to move) ?
Rodney! Got to play it today, and first and foremost after watching your how to video, set up was easy, gameplay was easy and it almost felt like I was a pro at it. The game is great! I enjoyed the theme very much. They really capture WOW and how annoying the Lich king is as a villain. We came very close to losing but was able to pull it off with cards we had accumulated and great dice rolls. The pandemic system is great for this game, as it really captures the war between the hero’s and villain, and how quickly the enemy can overrun the areas. I cannot wait to play it again, on a harder difficulty and with a different hero, this was a very great how to play video! And a very great game! Thanks Rodney.

In the example used in the book we got confused and thought the fight symbol on cards was how you advance through the quest after using the dice (which meant we was not paying attention to each symbol, fight, shield, heal, etc on the quest board as to how to properly advance the token).

Looks so awesome!! The Pandemic system is tried and true, and the reimplementation here looks great - using actual locations/heroes/baddies. Not to mention the amazing components! This is looking like a winner!
If you get a chance to try it, I'll be keen to hear your thoughts!
Finally managed to find the time to get into this one, thanks to your video I mastered it pretty quickly, it's now my most favorite tabletop. Thanks again!
So glad you enjoyed it and that the video was helpful!
That looks really fun! Going to get it to play this christmas. Last year i got my family to play Small world of Warcraft and we had such a blast.
Here's to an upcoming merry Christmas of gaming to you and yours :)
I just discovered this game at Target and, before buying, I immediately watched your video as soon as I came home. Excellent video, thank you!
You're very welcome - if you pick it up, I hope you have a great time playing!

So glad you enjoyed - thanks for checking it out and leaving the nice comment :)
Love the way pandemic system can fill many lores and be fun all every time. My first board game was pandemic call of cthulhu and i love it.
Yes, it's been neat to see this system used in new ways and settings.
So glad to see a channel dedicated to great cause.

this is probably so much fun to play with friends and fans of the warcraft universe
One of the best game reviews I’ve ever watched! Can’t wait to get my hands on this and play!

Very well done video - I love Iberia and rapid response. Played WoW so much, mostly during WotLK - this looks like a must have!
Hey hey, glad you enjoyed what you saw!

Thanks so much for the kind support!
I'll finally try this game today and feel pretty confident with this explanation!

Ironically, if you abbreviate "World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Litch King: the Board Game" you get "WoWWotLKtBG" which is actually the incantation for summoning zombies
we call that an easter egg
We're sorry if you're now dealing with an infestation!
Sounds like a murloc.
What are the odds of that????
1) I am making a comment to show my level of engagement with your video (as inspired by the recent TSC Express episode)
2) Seeing your horizontally stored games is so calming, so reassuring that the components will not shift needlessly while vertical.
3) As always keep up the great work!
Ha! I will be showing Jamie this message :) Hope you enjoyed the podcast episode!
@@WatchItPlayed It is always great to hear guests on TSC. Also, any time the "Flat Gamers Society" can unite and turn back the tyranny of heathen "Vertical Gamers" it is a good day!

Have a great time playing - it'll be a little wait, but now you'll be able to jump right into it!
Hey! Great video. I preordered the game as soon as I heard about it. Can't wait to try it out. You've done a great job at explaining the game! I have one question: what happens when you have 3 ghouls and 1 abomination on a single location and have to add another ghoul? Thanks!
You would add another abomination.
I played this for the first time and had a blast! Even though I was playing by myself, I didn't play the solo game; instead, I just played 3 characters. I have several questions, though.
Questing:
1. When questing with more than 1 player on the quest space, can you use only 1 card to advance the quest track, or can you use 1 card per player on the space? The rules made it sound like the latter.
Fighting:
Sylvanas Windrunner:
1. When she fights from an adjacent space, do enemies on her space (not the adjacent space) cause damage to her at the end of the fight?
Thanks! I'm planning to post this question to board game geek, too.
Very glad you're enjoying :)
I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there.
Would you recommend cars sleeves for this one? The bigger ones look like they won't fit anywhere though, lol
I don't have a strong opinion about card sleeves on board games, I'd say that's more of a player preference.
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for getting back to me. I completely understand, and still say keep up the good work. Your videos are awesome.
Thanks for understanding!
I never got into Pandemic and all of its iterations, until this came out, was an instant buy and I don’t have any regrets.
Hey, so glad you found one that was a good fit for you!
Good to have you back and going through the videos Frank :) Glad you enjoyed what you saw here!

Yes, there are a few extra twists in this version. I hope the video helps and you have a great time playing!
It will be really cool if you made the "Watch it Played Awards!" jejeje
I never got into Warcraft on the computer but this looks very interesting even for someone who's not as familiar with the worlds.
It has little easter eggs for people who know the lore, but if you didn't, it still plays like a fantasy setting, so I think can work for people who haven't played the video game.
Can you play more than 1 fight card on a single attack action? Love the videos!
During a fight action on your space, after rolling dice, any hero on that space can play any number of “Fight” cards. Each “Fight” card adds either 1 or 2 fists as shown by the number on the card.
I've never played WoW but this game looks great! I can see this replace Horrified on my game shelf
Glad you enjoyed what you saw - thanks for checking it out!
Fantastically presented video! I got this game for Christmas and had a blast, although me and my friends were wondering two things in particular:
1. Can we play free actions (card or muradin effect) after our last (4th) action or can they only be played while we still have actions available?
2. For thralls special action chain lightning, do we have to declare the order of spaces we hit before each roll? I would assume it as too convenient otherwise lol
Thanks ahead of time!

Couple questions,
1st question- Is there a limit to how many of the same actions I can take when using my 4 actions?
Question: what do you do if all the scourge cards are in the discard pile, do you reshuffle or that’s them used up?
I shot this long enough ago that I don't recall what the video says specifically, but if doesn't say to reshuffle, than you don't.
Yep, you could use it again on a future Quest action.
Would be cool if they made Black temple 😬🙏 Illidan
I have this pre ordered in Polish and while I wait I wanted to buy sleeves for cards for this game, but I cannot find any information about the right size. Could You please share this information?
The cards are standard magic sized cards.
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks!
hi.. does the abomination deal damage if not moved but already on a spot with hero in move abomination phase?..also does jainas passive block that 1 dmg? i am lost
Yes, if the abomination is already in a space with a hero, it doesn't move, it just attacks them. For Jainas's effect, I can't assist there, individual character effects are a little more detail than I can track across all the videos I make.
Two questions:
1- tá The final quest, we can make 4 actions of quest?
2- when an abomination is in The Space of a hero, during the "activating abomination" , the hero takes The damage in every turn due they're destroyed?
Sorry, I’m traveling, so not handy to the game to look up the answers for you right now.
Hi
Yes and yes
Hey awesome video! Just one question when you say all abomination dmg (if there's more than 1) is done at the same time, does that mean that only one hero must take all of it? Or can you spread it if there are multiple heroes in that spot?
They deal their damage collectively to one hero.

I'm playing solo but part of this question applies to both. 1 if all your heroes are on the Lich King's quest, can they all contribute a card as well, if you have them? 2. Also, I'm assuming you can't use the same card to contribute it more than once in solo? For example: 3 heroes on quest space, you contribute one fight card from 1st hero to advance a space, if the next two spaces on quest are also Fight, can you contribute 2 more fight cards from the other heroes and advance the torch ? Assuming u have 2 other fight cards on Hand. Unless u can count the same one twice 😵💫
1) Yes, at least this is how it would work in multiplayer.
2) I'm sorry, but I didn't cover the solo rules, so I don't have clarity on those rules.
That bonus is for Rest "Actions" only. Your friend might want it to be different, but that's not the rule.
thank you cant wait to play with friends :)
I hope you all have a great time :)

Does using a defend or fight card use an action?
It's been a little while since I shot this, but if the video doesn't say it costs an action, then it doesn't.
What happens if I have to put an abomination to place where already stands 3 ghouls and 1 abomination? Should I add 1 more abomination and move the despair marker?
You would add an extra abomination. You would only advance despair if there was not an abomination in the supply to add.
Make sense?
@@WatchItPlayed yup, that's my original instinct. Thanks.
Great video! I couldn't help but watch so I could learn during my playthrough. I really love the theme, I've played alot of WoW back in the day and it really hits that itch. I do wish the game had more of a reward system, but I really enjoy how challenging the game is.
Glad you're enjoying!
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for making the game easy to understand!
@@switchbeck6673 A pleasure to assist!
Just picked this up on sale at target and does anyone know if the flight ability to a stronghold uses an action? Couldn't find that clarification in the rule manual.
Hey there, I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there. You'll find an index in the description to help you find the section you might be looking for.
@@WatchItPlayed thank you. Rewatched a section of your video and it answered my question.
If im drawing 2 card and over limit 7 that I can only play reward card or discard? I can not play any regular hero card.
You can't play a regular hero card at that point, as you're not longer in the phase for playing regular cards.
Does anyone know the release date for this board game? I only saw that you can pre-order it but I didn't see a mention of the release date.
I think they said winter of 2021, not sure of the actual date though. Maybe November?
Just saw this form Zman games: "It's available for pre-order now! In the US Target will have it first in October and it will widely release in November."
Thank you soooooo much for the help !
You're very welcome - have a great time playing!
Do you think Janina’s frost armor works during the “activate abomination” phase
I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
Picked this up the other and played it both 2-player and solo.... fun both ways!
Thanks, Rodney, for the awesome guide that helped me make the satisfying decision of buying it =)
I have a few questions, however, that the accompanied guide doesn't answer (or I haven't seen it myself):

5) I didn't cover the solo rules, so can't help with that.
Hope some of that was helpful! Have fun adventuring.
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for the answers, Rodney!
If there is an overrun but I have no abomination left, do I advance the despair marker once because I dont have an abomination to place or twice (once because of the missing abomination and once because its an overrun which causes the despair marker to move) ?
Twice!
@@WatchItPlayed thank you!
Got my copy today! Can’t wait to throw some bones, and take on the Lich King!
Good luck in your questing!
Well hey, I'm so glad you enjoyed playing this one. All the best on your next adventure!
Can abominations move onto the Citadel when your doing the Linch King quest?
I shot this long enough ago, I forget what I said in the video, but if I don't say they can't enter the citadel, then they can.
If you use Wailing Arrow in zone of Lich King influence do you take 1 damage from him?

great guide!
Thank you!
Great video. As a new board game player(but long time RPG video gamer) I have a question. Would this game be better than the talisman board games to play complexity wise?
Hey, thanks for the interest. I tend to avoid giving personalized recommendations. What I like, someone else might not - but hopefully you see a few games on here that might be what you are looking for!
@@WatchItPlayed cool thanks. Do you have a video of you playing Legend of drizzt board game?
@@renmaster7319 Nope.
