I use to pull Vaughan trailers in the 80s they where good to work for well for me , just found the Roadways truck drove for them , boy this takes me back , thank you Dunk mc
Yeah I pulled their trailers as well, around 1981-82. Flat tops had cast iron gates filled with concrete, that’s what they felt like anyway.

I wonder how many owner/drivers got their start with Vaughan's?
Well, I did.
Heaps they were a good mob to work for 👍👍👍👍👍🦘🇦🇺
10.02 thats fast Eddy from Colac in the blue cabover. pretty sure it is .
Is that a Detroit powered Atkinson your talking about?
Did Australia make their own International cab overs?
Yes they did.
Definitely did, from the ground up. The venerable Acco started from an Army contract in the 50s and is still current today. Very simple, very tough, very good. A lot of good simple US components such as brakes, axles and engines were used but chassis and cabs were all home grown. Acco = Australian ‘C’ Cab Over.
That Ford cabover at 9 08 has to be the only one in Australia?
I think your correct on that one. This one was in the "Truck n bus" magazine I remember. Can't remember seeing any other "Blue mule" trucks.
