Let me tell you the difference. 1 owner, 1 Civil Engineer, 1 Architech discussing a house to be build for the owner. O: I have this 2000 Sq. Ft of plot, i want a nice home to be buit over here. Ar: Yes, yes, why not. i can design a pateo, 4 bedrooms, 1 study , 1 big kitchen, and a nice garden. i will get ready the design in 1 week. (Now the architech’s design means…size of the room, arrangement of the rooms, walls, cabinates in short “How the house will “LOOK””) The architech doesnt know if the size of room is 10x12, what will be the size of beams, how much reinforcement is required, when will be the columns. He will just say a huge 20x20 ft room will look good. He will not care how difficult it will be to actually design that shit. Now once the architects plan reaches civil engineer. He will start load analysis, designs the beams, cloumns. slabs etc. Then will will BUILD it. Soo all the credits goes to THE ARCHITECT who IMAGINED the building, but the guy who actual made it possible..is a CIVIL ENGINEER A Civil Engineer can plan and build without a need of an architect…atleast a normal building. But a architect will always need a civil engineer to design the building and build it. Royal CIVIL Always Rocks.
your observation are entirely wrong @sri ram civil engineers can not design a plan the of the building correctly for the name sake he may propose !!!!! let me explain u clearly now if unknowledged engineer design a structure means it entirely collapsed and failed !!!! by the same way if an engineer design a house itz too fail functionally but mAy not suddenly after few years the users feel discomfort on your design and refused to use ur building and it becomes waste (planing is also a design)
