I'm Italian, and you did it almost exactly like I do it. You can also use low fat ricotta, also I would have had to leave out the cream, my family would want it without. I sometimes use a tablespoon of dark brown sugar or a packet of Splenda to cut the acidity, but the rest is like mine. My mouth is watering. great recipe!
It’s almost Christmas, and your cook book has been on my wish list. I strongly emphasized to my husband this should be under the Christmas Tree.🥰 Love your cooking Natasha! 💕
I just make it yesterday before I see this recipe. I add some spinach and leftover chicken breast , less cheese, it was perfect. For sauce I used Alfredo sauce with some milk
Hi From India.. Natasha, I bought your book. It arrived 2 days back, and I already made granola(yummy 👌🏻) , and avocado toasts(the works).. I read the recipes in your voice😃.. awesome book, great help to people who are not used to western cuisine..
Great recipe. I make something similar for lasagna rolls. The only difference is that I use small curd cottage cheese, because it adds a more flavorful balance than ricotta.
Se mirá delicioso, tengo que hacerla para disfrutar ese platillo. Gracias por todos tus deliciosos platillos!!! Saludos desde Tecate Baja California México. 😊
My mom would either make lasagna or manicotti for Christmas. You made it exactly right. My favorite spice is nutmeg it goes in everything. The extra ricotta can make so many things. My favorite Christmas dessert is ricotta cheese cake. It has dried fruit delicious. I love the cookbook I had to have it. The recipes are meals I definitely would eat. I also love the desserts. I also like the recipe for ice pops. I myself love ice pops all year long.
A half-teaspoon of nutmeg is also great in mac and cheese. I got that from a recipe by Chef Jean-Pierre; although I preferred another recipe for M&C, I appropriated the nutmeg from his recipe into mine. It really kicks up the cheese!
Wow! This is such a nice and simple, delicious recipe. I m definitely going to try this recipe. It's kids friendly too. My little one can help with the stuffing part. Thanks Natasha for another video. Remain blessed and have a great weekend.
My girlfriend makes this dish All the time! She says people devour it All!! I'm tempted to make it. Looks delicious. Be grate to take as a side dish anytime!! You make it look so easy!! Thank you for making it look fun!! I love your recipes too!
I received your cook book for Christmas! I am so excited to look through and try them all. Any and everything I've made of yours thus far has been a success. Thank you, Natasha! I love the pics of you and your family included in the book. Gives a wonderful feel ❤
I haven't made manicotti for 40 years. I love it. My late ex didn't. For another try I made it again. When we sat down to eat he said, You know I don't like Manicotti. So, I took his plate to the sink a d dumped it down the garbage disposal. I'm so glad I found this recipe. It looks easy, and I want to make it for the great man I have in my life now.
I finally took the plunge and tried this! I've never been a fan of Ricotta cheese, but I do use it sparingly. Well, I made this yesterday, and it was delicious! I cut the recipe in half as there's only me and my hubby. I think that the Marinara and heavy cream blended well with the Ricotta cheese. Therefore, it wasn't as pronounced. It's definitely a keeper recipe that I will keep in rotation. Thank ya ma'am! You've done it again! ❤😊❤
Excellent recipe! I will be having a vegetarian friend over, and I'm going to make a spinach, cream cheese, cottage cheese, and parmesan cheese version - all covered with the marinara sauce and mozzerella. - Thanks for all your insparation Natasha! - Cheers!
Yummy we Cook these alot as well ..i also add spinach to the ricotta ...Ah i make them with besciamelle and use crepes for the pasta ..they are really good
"Manicotti," what an interesting Italian name/word! 😂 I am always thrilled to watch your Italian 🇮🇹 recipes video. They are always authentic and restaurant-quality! You are suffusing passions throughout me and my friends as always. Most of them have been saying nice things about you. Love you and have a best holiday with your family! ❤🎄
Thank you so much for your kind words and for appreciating the Italian essence of my recipes! 😊 Hearing that you and your friends are enjoying these recipes and spreading such positivity truly warms my heart! 💖 Your support means the world to me. Sending lots of love your way, and wishing you and your loved ones a fantastic holiday season!
Hi Natasha: Definitely couldn’t miss Sharky at 8:27. Your Manicotti looks soooo delicious! I used to make this back in the day, but didn’t boil the Manicotti. Layered sauce on the bottom of the pan, stuffed the uncooked shells with the filling, topped them with more sauce and sprinkled with the cheese. Put in frig overnight and baked the next day. Noodles were perfectly al dente. 💜😎🇺🇸
There is Always something great cooking in Natasha's Kitchen! Can't wait! Thank you for the candied pecan recipe! My family and neighbors love them! ❤ Merry Christmas! 🎄 ❤ 🎁 A signed copy of your cookbook is under my tree, for me. 😁
Hmmmmm I can feel it so yummy, I must try to make this. When I get tired of food, I have to look for you, because of you, all the cooking and how to make it is so easy, and fun. Thank you and Love you so much ❤️
Ciao, this looks delicious, thank you for your recipe, i love pasta, so i wish you all a blessed and wonderful Weekend, many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃
She's right about undercooking the pasta at first. It can't be stressed enough how much of a disaster it becomes if they are too soft and weak! I have made this mistake and turned manicotti into lasagna more than once.
Yes. People forget that when pasta dishes such as mac and cheese, stuffed shells, and manicotti are baked in the oven, the pasta will continue cooking, so it’s preferable to undercook it initially.
Lol. I hope it was still good. I know if someone overcooks the pasta a little, it's still edible, but when it gets past a certain point, there is no saving it. I tell people that all the time 😊😊😊
I'm Going To Ask My Wife To Make This 😋. This Looks So Yummy 😋. I Can't Cook For Crap 🤬. My Wife Is More Then Happy To Cook For Me 😃. She Said That She's More Than Happy To Cook For Me 😃
Wow, you surprised me again! When this popped up for your future dish, I could not wait to see. Excellent timing . This dish will be the star specialty for Christmas Eve 🎅 dinner. Merry Christmas 💝
interesting recipe, I like the thought for American's but not my Italian friends, sauce needs to be old school and fresh, basil and oregano needed, i like to use both fresh and dried, gives a flavor like no other. A hint of Chipotle Pepper powder takes this dish to a new level.
I stuff my shells while hard, I then bring the sauce with a cup of water or stock and pour over the shells, cover and bake for 45 min and then uncover, add cheese and bake until the cheese melts to your desire.
