Look up was an S trap is; and remember it violates code; so distance between the san tee and p trap is necessary

Where does the washing machine connect to it? Or does it work by itself without connecting the washer?

That's not the weir. The weir is the bottom of the outflow pipe, which is the water level when the P trap is full.

Is there a code that requires a minimum distance between the trap and san tee? Or can it be tied in directly? Thank you

2x the diameter of the pipe. So 4 inch of straight for 2" pipe
