The worst part is that Jetfire did all of that and was never mentioned again. Not even a decent Thank from prime, nor a simple line of "Your sacrifice will not be forgotten" the writers could have done something to mention how Jetfire saved humanity or gave a memorial like you said, so many missed opportunities.

Honestly best part of the second movie is that scene when optimus is dropping Jeffries parts, his design was just so bad ass in my opinion, kinda annoyed me when in the next scene he didn’t have his parts anymore, just imagine optimus keeping his parts and using them to become a triple changer. Plus the look is just on point.
In-universe explanation: They where probably remade into what we see in Tf3.
Reality: Nobody really gave a shit because the movie made big money time for a sequel.

Optimus forgot it in Egypt, so Ratchet had to built a transforming trailer.
I personally think that Jetfire’s parts are back in the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy center as a memorial rather than being buried then possibly being taken by KSI during age of extinction

Now that I watched this, this made everything sense to me, because when I was little, I thought the matrix belongs to Optimus Prime, and so i thought Jetfire sacrificed himself to give his spark as a replacement for the matrix of leadership that I thought belonged to Optimus Prime 😆😆

I think Jetfire ‘s parts were just left their because he wanted to put his parts in the place he had sacrificed himself and prime wouldn’t been able to take of the parts because when he was fighting the fallen it doesn’t come off ,well if the jets were like a backpack he had stripped it on. My other theory is that jetfire was still living since prime has his spark and jetfire’s spark on the ground so it’s still his parts , I basically mean that jolt combined the parts but jetfire figured the shape to make it a jet pack to prove it more , his chest was glowing showing the sign that he was planning something . Last theory is Optimus prime’s armor from jetfire that still was on him is going to fall off like the jet pack since it pretty much impossible to take of because in made him 12 feet more tall . I slept almost halfway the movie when I watched RotF at the cinema, but I was like thinking would they resurrect Jetfire/Skyfire in the next movie just like in cartoons, since he took out his spark and it may yet be given a new life?

Here's a question on my mind: in Revenge of the Fallen, Sam Whitwikky, into his dying condition, ended up in Cybertronian afterlife thanks to the Primes so that they can help him save Optimus. If the Cybertronian afterlife was for Cybertronians, how come Sam, being a human, actually end up in this afterlife?

Answer to this question is that jet fires parts were loaded into primes trailer at the end of rotf and in dotm prime uses "flight tech" that resembles jet fires parts but after primes trailer vanishes so does jet fires remains

It is also possible that being a force of power like the allspark the auto bots could eventually use the matrix to rebuild and restore Jetfire eventually, don't forget his spark wasn't destroyed a the spark is the sorce of a transformers life force and it's also where if u seen the G1 head master saga where their brain and memory are backed up.
