You could also use icy blocks and put a fire ball on a track to melt the floor over time. If you want a similar effect to the floor destruction, put a track just below the floor with a whole lot of fire balls and try to time bombs from other tracks into this one to destroy the floor (I'm not sure if it's that feasible, though).

Thank you for that idea! But then again I don't like how this boss fight works. I might use that idea tho.
