Just another reason why you don't install a not ready for prime time OS on your daily driver. Windows 10 is supported until 2025. I am in no rush to move over to Windows 11.
@@Britec09 Definitely, but Windows Defender has been buggy for a long time, not just in this Windows 11 beta. I have been fighting with a crashing Windows Defender History for quite a while now. It forces me frequently to disable antivirus completely. I get the feeling that the Microsoft devs ether don't give a shit, or are laughably incompetent.
@@andreasplosky8516 Mine has been Windows Update. Fortunately, looks like some previous update resolved my super long initialization on WIN10 out of nowhere, which also came on out of nowhere...
@Evan Of course it is not easy, but when some bugs have been around for some time, even bugs that force you to disable your anti-virus, when you need it the most (during the installation of new software), then someone at MS has to get of his ass, and do something (I am not talking about Win 11 by the way. I use Win10 as my regular OS, and only run Win 11 in a VM for testing purposes). In general I really appreciate MS Windows. It does a lot of things really well, but the crashing Explorer and crashing Defender History issue have been along for a long time. Oh and thanks for the Ryzen 5 fix :). I have a Ryzen 5 myself.

Click bait video and these comments are bots. Its not working. Most are receiving "access Denied" messages and half are still getting "look for an app in the Microsoft Store"

This was the only straight to the answer fix i could find... Even using the Microsoft help site.
In my case this solution wasn't working, I fixed it by right clicking "Windows security" in the start menu, "App settings" and then "Reset"
