India was divided on the basis of religion, there was a plan to exchange the population of muslims to Pakistan (who were willing to go there) and a transfer of non muslim to India, this stopped because the people who were trying to cross the borders at that time were being captured and executed. In any case, any Muslim residing in Pakistan, whether persecuted or not, is at liberty even to apply for Indian citizenship via a plethora of avenues available under Indian law, even though not under the CAA route. There is zero justification for any grouse or bickering against the CAA on part of any Muslim anywhere in the world, and such vexation on part of likes of the Islamist Al Jazeera is nothing but plain malice towards India. My grandfather was forced to leave Bangladesh in 1971 and take refuge in India. Some of my relatives still live in Bangladesh, and they have been forced many times to convert to Islam. Non-Muslim girls in Bangladesh cannot leave their homes at night for fear of kidnapping. I live in West Bengal, India. I can confirm that at least 20% of the population of West Bengal are illegal immigrants.

If India was anti Muslim how come we have the second largest Muslim population in the world after Indonesia. The population is still growing. Yet In Pakistan the number of Hindus in Pakistan went from 17% to just about 2%? Se why CAA is needed
India was divided on the basis of religion, there was a plan to exchange the population of muslims to Pakistan (who were willing to go there) and a transfer of non muslim to India, this stopped because the people who were trying to cross the borders at that time were being captured and executed. In order to prevent this, our 1st PM urged people to stay back and come in India once the path was safe but they never came up with a plan to give citizenship to them, it was due to India to take back those people.
Now as to why exclude muslims, well a decision was made to do partition on ground of religion, and if the muslims all of a sudden wishes tk join back then come with the land that you had taken for yourselves. Will they do it? No. And moreover we do not want the factories of terrorism to be a part of India. Amd if the muslims of the world are so concerned, they have 57 countries, let them open their borders.

Not even a single Muslim inhabitant of Pakistan is any victim of religious persecution. Those of Muslims in Pakistan who suffer persecution, such as the Baluchs, are being tormented because of racial and ethnic intolerance on part of the dominant communities in Pakistan. This is entirely different from religious persecution. There exist separate provisions in India foreign policy for providing relief, succour and assistance to those persecuted communities, and India is mindful of its responsibilities towards them. However, the ambit of The CAA is limited to religious persecution, and as such, Muslims residing in Pakistan are not covered by its scope. However, they can avail other forms of remedial relief via alternative provisions of Indian foreign policy, because the CAA does not exclude Muslims from availing benefits under any alternative provisions in Indian foreign policy or under Indian law. In any case, any Muslim residing in Pakistan, whether persecuted or not, is at liberty even to apply for Indian citizenship via a plethora of avenues available under Indian law, even though not under the CAA route. There is zero justification for any grouse or bickering against the CAA on part of any Muslim anywhere in the world, and such vexation on part of likes of the Islamist Al Jazeera is nothing but plain malice towards India. He didn't mention the criticism of CAA for not including Ahmadiyyas as they're also frequently harassed in those countries by mainstream muslims. However since majority of Ahmadiyyas voted for the creation of Pakistan and also because of their continued aggression against other minorities they're excluded from the CAA. Nevertheless they still can apply for Indian citizenship just like everyone else through the usual channel.

My grandfather was forced to leave Bangladesh in 1971 and take refuge in India. Some of my relatives still live in Bangladesh, and they have been forced many times to convert to Islam. Non-Muslim girls in Bangladesh cannot leave their homes at night for fear of kidnapping. I live in West Bengal, India. Muslims could still apply for Indian citizenship through the already existing citizenship law. India has given so many citizenships to Pakistani and Bangladeshi muslims. The most famous being Adnan Sami(The Pakistan singer)
