To drain the towel rad, take the air vent out, pop a length of 15mm copper in with a hose connected and syphon out all the water. If you haven't got the hight you can use a bit of 15mm plastic
Regarding the rad 100% agree those brackets are a pain. I hung the vertical type recently on a dot and dab wall and it took ages to get them levelled up! It wouldn’t be so bad if the manufacturer had a table in instructions with some measurements on🤷🏼♂️
Another very interesting video, great work too! Thanks for making it. Rusty toilet bolts are always a pain - easier now with a multi tool but I remember having had to use a hacksaw blade, with masking tape wrapped around for a handle, in the past!
I bought a cordless Dremel, it’s nice and compact and easy to get in on cistern bolts. Have also used it inside a soil pipe to cut it down when I couldn’t get anything else in there
I do like a bit of silicone when putting a close couple kit in and that syphon could do with a shorter C hook. I'm glad I don't do domestic plumbing but then again I come against the Twyford nocturn kit. 😂
Hi Tiff. I tell you what I've started using to get the rusted cistern bolts out is a Milwaukee Hackzall with a metal cutting blade. It fits between the pan and cistern and cuts through the bolts very quick. Good video as always 👍
The amount of times ive took off those cisterns and the customer is horrified and embarrassed that there is black mould underneath!😆have to say though i wear my turtles (gloves) on every job🙈😂
Love the channel i dont have a wet vac like yourself but have another make how handy they are. I had to drain a washing machine recently . The darin is so low water goes onto floor use wet vac problem resolved
Need to be marking insertion depth and bunny ears on press fittings. If you ever have a bad leak and flood a house. The press-fit manufacturer would pay out if it’s there product that failed but not if you haven’t been marking fittings..
Great work as always Mark 👌💪 only thing I'll say as a welders son is wear your eye protection with the grinder. The amount of times my dad ended up getting slag picked out of his eyes that had gone at an angle and even got past the glasses was unreal. Always pays to take a second to look after yourself. 👍
Hi Mark, another nice film there thank you, I still enjoy seeing all the jobbing about stuff. Some nice jobs there successfully completed, hope all is well with you. As always take care, regards, Chris. 👍👍👍
Thanks for that, Mark. Something for everyone with a jobbing vid, and no major unexpected ballache. At least those cistern bolts gave you fair warning they were going to be trouble!
I'm doing the same with radiator top brackets nice and level in first and bottom ones later on. If I put all four on the wall even level and plumb wit the top ones the rad is not gonna sit right.
I sometimes get the brackets mixed up on those column rads , and put the bottom brackets at the top 😮. One tip I use when hanging these radiators , is place my tool boxes under the rad at the specified height , then offer the bracket in place and then pencil mark it .
All the big guns came out for that cistern repair God be with the days when we had to lug around 110 transformers and leads, We have it handy with battery tools now 🙏 Your getting used to the press fit Mark, Good Video as always 👍👍🤜
Once again real world mate, what's great about you is you don't big yourself up like some on you tube boasting about how they are pilots or whatever. Glad i switched to your channel keep it up Mark.
Them shower screens are a pain. I did 2 the other day and withball the other trades flying about on site is a nightmare. Wish you could build them in the garden 😂😂👍👍
Whats the difference leaving filling loop open sticking hose on a drain off manual flush system vs through flush? I honestly think through flush unit is gimmick manual flush does the same thing ?? When will you make video on installing water softner ?
It already is a thing of the past here in Germany, you learn to solder and braze as apart of your apprenticeship but it’s pretty much all press fittings now…
Back to a few days jobbing about….. always something to get onto…👌🏼

Yep done that I few times over the years
I bought a cordless Dremel, it’s nice and compact and easy to get in on cistern bolts. Have also used it inside a soil pipe to cut it down when I couldn’t get anything else in there
I wish all plumbers were like you!
Thanks buddy…… kind words

Good shout that…. Nice little tools
Got the M12 nice and light. I seem to be using it more and more. A lot quicker then the multi tool on the bolts👍
A star so knowledgeable ⭐️
Thanks buddy

Being a pipe fitter by trade I hear you. I’ve even had shit in my eye go past a visor and safety glasses.
Yep I hear you guys 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hi Mark, another nice film there thank you, I still enjoy seeing all the jobbing about stuff.

Yer thought you would like this one Chris😉
Thanks for that, Mark. Something for everyone with a jobbing vid, and no major unexpected ballache. At least those cistern bolts gave you fair warning they were going to be trouble!
Yep…. Seem to be getting all the crappy toilet jobs latterly
@@MJTiffPlumbing I see what you did there… 😄
Hi Mark. Good few jobs done. I am fitting them rads in my house so thanks for the tip with the bracket’s mate. Have a good weekend 👍
No worries buddy
I'm doing the same with radiator top brackets nice and level in first and bottom ones later on. If I put all four on the wall even level and plumb wit the top ones the rad is not gonna sit right.
👍🏼👍🏼
Top job Safety glasses 👀🥸🥸 with that grinder
🤦🏻♂️
Mark you should buy some plumb tubs way easier than the folding buckets for them little jobs tight down on rads etc
Yer need to get some to be honest👍🏼👍🏼
Great video Mark, I learn so much watching these jobbing videos as a DIY’er, keep the good work up 👍
Thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
I sometimes get the brackets mixed up on those column rads , and put the bottom brackets at the top 😮. One tip I use when hanging these radiators , is place my tool boxes under the rad at the specified height , then offer the bracket in place and then pencil mark it .
Yep…. I’ve done that more than once 🤣🤦🏻♂️
I use alot of 45 and street 45. Dunno if it's out of laziness or can just look more semetrical if everything is at the same angle, plumb and level.
Yep they seem to be a thing in pressfit
Soldering is the best option still! And I think a neater job great video though mark👍🏻
👍🏼👍🏼
I agree done loads of taps and cisterns had one yesterday multi saw job what would Ido without it used to have to use a junior hacksaw
Can be a right pain
Mark do some more videos on pricing small jobs
Yer I should do I think
All the big guns came out for that cistern repair
God be with the days when we had to lug around 110 transformers and leads,
We have it handy with battery tools now 🙏
Your getting used to the press fit Mark,
Good Video as always
👍👍🤜
I was on about 110v stuff to someone last week!!!…. Good old days
Thanks for taking the time to do your videos always enjoyable content 👍
Thankyou Andy….. very kind words
Once again real world mate, what's great about you is you don't big yourself up like some on you tube boasting about how they are pilots or whatever. Glad i switched to your channel keep it up Mark.
Can’t stand that fool as well
Thanks buddy…. I am what I am…. Just keeping it real
Doing what you do best. I prefer the toilet handle pointing slightly upwards less downward force needed to flush toilet.🤙🏿
It’s all about the pivot point 🤣😉
Great content, really enjoy the jobbing videos, picking up tips along the way. Cheers
Thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks
👍🏼👍🏼
I believe once you start pressing you aren’t meant to stop and start as you might overpress it.
If it’s calibrated correctly it’s not a problem👍🏼👍🏼
You've probably got a valid point but how can you stop it once it's started?
Them shower screens are a pain. I did 2 the other day and withball the other trades flying about on site is a nightmare. Wish you could build them in the garden 😂😂👍👍
Just so fiddly getting the top and bottom bits onto the glass
@@MJTiffPlumbing and there is always the worry that you give it that little bit to much and it breaks
Hey Tiff , I thought this was a 20sec change, well thats how long it took you last time!....lol...great videos, great channel.
🤣🤣🤣……. Only when it’s a Turbo88 to an Edge😉
Nice looking rads but as you said the brackets can be a pain to line up glad to see you changed the flexi under the toilet
Coloum rads are a right pain….. just have to take your time
Real world stuff mate 👊
Thanks mate 👌🏼
Whats the difference leaving filling loop open sticking hose on a drain off manual flush system vs through flush? I honestly think through flush unit is gimmick manual flush does the same thing ??
When will you make video on installing water softner ?
Can you switch direction to just the main….. nope
@MJTiffPlumbing can you please explain your answer ? Filling loops on mains water is going into the circuit?
Im due to go to a job where im fixing a flush syphon flap thingy, I might get one of those dudley turbo jobbies
You won’t go wrong if you do😉👌🏼👌🏼
Jobbing about ❤
Yep
Good luck Mark on smashing 30K subs, great content as always 👍
Thanks Andy 👍🏼👍🏼
Who makes that toilet syphon you were using at the show?
Tyde or as some know it Thomas Dudley....... the only syphons i fit
i would love to see the algorithm vid, i cant get my head around it!
Oh mate it’s soooo complicated…. But really good when you learn it
What brand is this vacuum?
Milwaukee 👍🏼👍🏼
Great videos. I only have the tolerance to follow one plumber so congratulations 😂 ps I need that algorithm video
Hahaha thanks buddy…… Appriciate the follow👌🏼
Other great video mate
Thanks buddy 👍🏼👍🏼
i like your t-shirt where is it from please Mark?
Which shirt is it??
@@MJTiffPlumbing knipex mate
Knipex 🤣😉👍🏼👍🏼
the old skill of soldering will soon be a thing of the past...unless 10 years they discover pressfit to be a disaster with leaks everywhere lol
Good job I am still soldering…..👌🏼👌🏼……
But you’ve got to give these new things a chance. Over 20years pressfit has been about now
It already is a thing of the past here in Germany, you learn to solder and braze as apart of your apprenticeship but it’s pretty much all press fittings now…
I hope that customer isnt tall with that toilet being located there 😅
No they are not
I use a plumb tub
👍🏼👌🏼
What watt was Walt walking with?
4
PB has a Nerad flexible funnel on his video from today 🤔😂😂
He’s bloody had it ain’t he🤣🤣🤣…….. I will ring him tomorrow and get it back🤣
@@MJTiffPlumbing I’m sure he will give it back if you can win an arm wrestle! 🤣
God I wish you wear gloves when touching toilet stuff. Other than that bravo sir.
That’s what big wipes are for
🤘😎🤘
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thats real world plumbing we don't need PPE lol
🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️….. I knew someone would pick up on that… my bad
Like👍😂🎉😊
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I think u using press in the wrong way , i preas all the time., but dont use it like thag under the floor
Sorry…. Can’t make any sense of what you’ve put??
Love the videos , but the lack of eye protection makes me cringe , be safe, be successful...
Thanks mate… yep I hear you
The rust under that cistern and on the nearby rad. Somebody can't control where their piss is going. 😄
Hahahahaha so true
