7:30 This gesture made everything funny. Lol the fact that Tyler let us listen to this without talking made it even more funnier. Now we can use this heater as a sound effect.
I thought it was about to start playing Taps
Tyler:
Heater: *I will now sing the song of my people*
I would funny enough love you to do more videos in your shed. Feels like we're almost back at the garage again.
Same as I said, you beat me to it 😆
Yep same I miss mom's garage
@@linuxares agreed man
Does anyone know what happened to his old garage?
He moved.@@AdamWulfric
The sound that heater made was literally the sound effect they play when a killer shows up in a horror movie.
Turn them on all at once and see how much it heats the room! It would be fire 🔥
no jokes aside
Nice pun 😂
Stay here Tyler! It just ain't Tyler Tube inside the house.
Bro, you should start filming in there because it’s bringing back garage vibes 😊❤
I feel like tyler is clear for life now, after the wood stove and propane heaters, his new house did not burn down and he did not die of CO poisoning. These 2 videos combines should have ended things, and the fact that they didn't, means that it's smooth sailing from now on.
Tyler, this is your best video to date. Great information, love the graphs. I think having all the air gaps and no insulation helped a lot for airflow.
We have one of those big diesel fired heaters at work like the sunfire, it really does a good job. I used it last week while rewired our equipment float in our unheated storage building at -18C. Made working with no gloves on bearable. It does make it a little toxic in there after a while if you don't crack a door a little, but it's old and probably needs cleaned to burn a bit more efficiently.
I think his air quality measurements need to be taken with a huge grain of salt, that shed obviously has plenty of air coming and going.
He probably should have done it in a metal shed. Less air moving.
I know it’s been said a bunch of times, film in the shed from now on! It’s way better, not same as the garage, but still an upgrade from the wood room
It is more relatable. More manly. Yeah..
NGL I'm impressed with the graphs. I know it took some effort to do them and I (and probably lots of others) appreciate that!
That was a well prepared video. Good job.
This is a phenomenal video, Tyler! I am seriously impressed with the wealth of information you provided, your thoroughness, and the range of products. I also loved your filming background. Thank you for the ventilation warning. This was amazing. Keep up the great work, my friend!
Very interesting video. I had a ton of fun learning about these heaters.
You had a storage shed this entire time and didn’t give us this as our beautiful backdrop? For shame Mr. Tube.
Great review! Thank you!
Finally a heater video!!
Ive got an 80,000 BTU torpedo heater and i absolutely love it. Living in Wisconsin we have about 6 months of cold, so i needed to get something that could heat my 2 car garage and it does amazing.
I have one of the 135,000 btu torpedo heater. That thing is a little loud but it's worth it. Had some frozen pipes back a few weeks ago. Took a half hour to not only thaw the pipes but warmed up the whole basement I was working in.
Done the same thing here in maine.
Just remember they do produce carbon monoxide
Those torpedo heaters are fantastic for working on houses in the winter. Idk what I would do without it. But, sometimes I will be cold for a while rather than start that thing
The thing that goes out on most of those heaters is the thermo coupler but you can buy universal ones at any hardware store or Amazon
Patio heater definitely got the W on this one
My buddies and I used to sit in the garage with that first heater set up and it worked great. Very directional, but worked good.
Great video! Love the more professional elements of the tracking and graphs.
I like this backdrop because it's real, and close in a way to the older garage I miss so much. Don't forget to measure the co emissions when using these types of heating indoors.
7:22 oh my god, that sounds like some sound that would be in a scary movie 😨
That 2nd heater sounds like a damn warning siren for an immunent air raid 🤣🤣
I got one of those diesel heaters in my workshop for a month now and i´m allready get use to the sound .
7:30 - Sounds like it's brought to you by THX. 😂
😂😂Died at that sound it made. Imagine starting it like that every time.
My dude, I can only mentally process one background change a year
Tyler is in a garage (or a shed) again. THIS is where Tyler Tube belongs! A bedroom is just wrong because there's no good place to stick spaghetti to a wall.
I love using my patio heater for my 2 car garage. I use it in the Buffalo, NY wintertime if I have to work on my car or if I'm doing stuff to my motorcycle.
Used to use a propane torpedo, but hated that it felt it took too long to warm up the garage.
I can turn on the patio heater, give it two hours (when it's 20° or colder outside) and the garage will be between 50 to 60° in the garage.
Usually a tank will last me about 10 - 12hrs on high.
8:04 it’s the cold coils expanding we have a small round one
I appreciate that you gave fair warning that all heaters should not be necessarily run the way you did, and also with absolutely some kind of ventilation. I know a lot of your vids are for funsies and jokes, but these more serious devices on your videos require that warning, and I really appreciate that. Also have to say, the testing you did with graphing was a good choice. Hope all is well, brudda, keep it up!
Tyler saying the one thing I don't like about this 1st propane heater is that it doesn't have a built in ignition source. It's got these built in buttons you press to light it. Priceless. Then at the end. The one thing I don't like (now really the second if we're counting) is that it sounds like water running when on full blast.😂
The storage shed looks great almost good enough to be "the garage"
VERY professional, Tyler! You're starting to scare me 😅
This is a GREAT video
That thumbnail is hard af
now THIS is what a TylerTube is supposed to be! 👍🏻👍🏻
Man, Tyler explaining temperature and humidity like a weatherman feels kinda weird (not in a bad way).
Can't stop watching, this is gold!

19:58 _ALL HAIL THE HYPNOTOAD_ 👏....👏....👏
Fantastic video! Loved this. I’ll be buying some heaters for work soon, and I’ll be referring to this video when I do. Thanks Tyler!
i almost gassed myself with one of those turbo heaters. was working in the garage and it started snowing while i was in there. snow was building up around the doors and windows and i never noticed. at some point, i realized i couldn't really hold myself up any more so i sat down right on the floor. some time later, i snapped awake, realized i could hardly breathe, made my way out the door and collapsed into a snow drift for who knows how long.
woke up at like 2am shivering and teeth chattering and everything and went inside and took a hot shower until my water heater drained.
for like 2 years after that, every time i so much as smelled a kerosene heater i got dizzy and wanted to throw up.
Similar thing happened to me with Diesel fuel in mine. Anytime theres a diesel truck running near me I get nauseous.
I have the first one. I've had it for years and still runs great.
Yes a new Tyler tube download to watch before bed
Upload **
I almost dropped dead laughing @7:04
Love your content keep up the good work
7:29 that sounds absolutely terrifying 😂
Fantastic video, Tyler. Very informative and useful, thank you.
The sound coming from the second heater sounds like something out of a horror movie and for some weird reason i actually like it i mean it adds some character to the heater.
7:13 thought I was watching a horror movie for a sec. 😝
That last heater had a really loud high-pitched whine that you could hear even when you turned it off.
Torpedo heater sound brings back childhood memories, or maybe traumas lol, of being the flashlight holder for my dad working on a car in the garage.
I have a unit similar to the first one that you tested and if you continue to press that red button inward it clicks and a spark will ignite the fuel. Then you continue to hold it until it stays lit.
7:06 Average horror game ambient soundtrack
IR Camera would display the heat paths/exposure 😊 that would be cool follow up video!!
Yeaaaaaahhhhh another heater video …
Love the background and love your videos much love
This video warmed my heart.
we use a single version of the first one in our storage unit where we hang out and store our motorcycles, does a good job and keeps it nice and warm.
I thought the title said "What is the best Garbage heater?" And I was going to say Tyler's mama. Seriously we should give her a cooking show it'd be like watching a train crash.
great video
Yooo 11pm and 33min. PeakContent, letsgo.
Have a nice day Tyler 🤍
VGG calls them leg burners. Sorry, first thoughts 😅😅
Derek simply has the best names for things
I was shocked despite the warning not to be
I would worry about the carbon monoxide of propane over the sound it makes.
Yes he did you must of not watched the whole video
@John0811-f8 i did, zero for every test isn't possible.
@John0811-f8 although my comment was in the beginning.
This dude just insults the RUclipsr... Why are you here besides that? Look at your last few comments on this channel.
Good job
On the second one your heat output is based on the blue dial at the regulator. It's also how you turn it off. My turkey frier is the same.
I much prefer these videos where Tyler doesn't pretend to be dumb.
That shed is a nice one, with oddly short doors
Sounds like a suspenseful moment in a movie
That doesn't sound like Dory from Finding Nemo. It reminds me more of horror movie sound effects... or communicating with aliens haha
I have a craftsman salamander and a wood stove in my garage. Wood stove is best because it doesn’t make any sound. The salamander is like a rocket!
Thank you for calling it what it is! Until I went to buy one for myself, I had NEVER heard anyone call it a "torpedo heater," It's a dang salamander!
Between these "outside" heaters and the fire box from last video tyler may want to consider testing the few cheapest RESPIRATORS on amazon😂
Tyler really be playing minecraft in real life
The second heater aounds like the beginning of a 90s trance track
7:06 this sounds like a siren and along with like alien like sounds
That second one reminded me of the old THX opening screen on VHS and DVD.
The Mr Heater radiant, I had a Dewalt branded one it wouldn't stay lit for any reason out of the box. It would come up to temp then shut down. I ended returning it same day, the store was giving me static about returning it because I used it. Ended up needing a store manager to come and do the return. I think the thermocouple was bad, or the tip senor was bad. I wouldn't spend the money again on one of these, it was a terrible experience.
My Garage caught on fire 2 1/2 weeks ago after I turned on a 240v heater made by Comfort Air. It was set on low and its thermostat was too. I had it plugged into a heavy-duty cord. The plug heated up and failed and caught a small cardboard box with a 3’x5’ drop cloth in it on fire which spread to some plastic parts and tools. Luckily it melted through my air compressor hose which caused me to investigate. The flames were about 3’ high. The first two garden hoses I tried were clogged with ice. By the time I hooked up the 3rd hose, the flames were filling the entire doorway and just hitting the bottom side of the roof. I got the flames knocked down and out quickly and after spraying everything down for 10 min or so I thought I had it taken care of. Well, I turned my headlamp off and could see an orange glow coming from the material I had stored in the rafters. I tried to spray water up into them but the smoke was so thick and toxic I had to throw in the towel and call the Fire department. They ended up cutting 6 big holes in the roof and spraying water from above. Then they sprayed everything with a foam solution. The chief told me it was a “dish soap”. It's been so cold here in Utah everything has been frozen since it happened. The fire ruined a bunch of tools and other items but you never really think about the damage that the smoke or water does to EVERYTHING. The smell penetrates everything and is just about impossible to remove from everything. I'm just grateful it didn't spread to my house and wasn't worse.
That second fan sounded like a horror movie
10:20 its a outdoor only because propane burning creates carbon monoxide gas and is fatal. So all those burners need a well ventilated room to burn them in.
was thinking the same
Tyler is slowly but surely becoming Todd 2.0(if ya know, ya know ;) ).
Please try out propane fireplace heaters. I've been looking to buy one for my basement. Are they any good?
they do make the torpedo heater with propane
10:45 I can't think of a single thing that could go wrong.
13:00 best one there is but obviously buy a couble torpedos too.
The second one reminds me of the THX movie intro. Tyler’s Heater Xperience
Horror movie sounding heater
So, it's been a minute since i've watched a vid on this channel. I see a lot of comments about missing the garage. The last video i remember watching, was in the garage with the remnants of dry noodles and names still on it. I assume dude moved?
Imagine putting a fan behind any of these heaters.....revolutionary 😂
Was hoping there was a Chinese diesel heater. The ones with an exhaust pipe.
I farted during this episode and I felt like that data needed to be recorded for science
Edit. Lol how many experiments did you do in the garage that we screamed at you to put in ventilation!
MAN YOU GOT ME HOOKED ON MINECRAFT I BOUGHT LIKE ALMOST 50 DOLLARS AND GOT LIKE 9 GAMES BUT HAVE BEEN PLAYING MINECRAFT DUNGEONS FOR LIKE 7 HOURS STRAIGHT GOING BACK TO IT NOW
a wood stove or one that burns used car oil 👍🏼
a friends dad built a old oil burner that used compressed air … worked like a million bucks and no smoke at all .. i alwsys wanted to make one for the shop but always had plenty of firewood
