14:28 the "unwarping" is due to the relatively even heating of the plate. Initially there is a warp due to uneven heating causing bending. But eventually given enough time, it'll reach a relatively consistent temperature. Reducing the warping. Let me explain This is science now. Everything expands when heating. This is because everything is made out of particles at the subatomic level. These particles, in this case, are in solid form. Which means (by high school chemistry) the particles are placed together in an orderly fashion. This is caused by the metallic bonding between the negative sea of electrons and positive metal nucleus. When you apply heat to the solid, the particles that make up the solid gain thermal energy, which increases the particles' potential energy. You can think of it as more energetic particles would mean it's harder for the metallic bonding to keep them together. Different materials gain heat/raise their temperature and expand at a different rate due to their material specific heat capacity (the amount of energy required to raise a unit mass of a substance by a unit of temperature) which is also based on the strength of the metallic bonding and other factors too many to list. I believe due to the unevenly made metal alloy used to make that pan (due to poor/sped up manufacturing), the metal pan begain to heat up unevenly and expand unevenly. This resulted in that odd "wrapping" or bending phenomenon. After enough time and enough heating by the heating element in the oven, the pan as a whole and all parts of it (uneven or not) would eventually reach a common temperature. (That temperature being close to whatever the heating element is). And so the expansion while still different, is relatively consistent with not much of a significant difference at such high temperatures. When he did the first egg i was thinking you need a bit of oil or some grease or something to help it cook better. I mean i'm not a professional egg cooker i hate eggs pretty much as much as Tyler hate pickles and coffee but i know you need something like oil to help eggs cook.
I think you need to season the pan with bacon grease. You can use lard, spread it on the pan, let it run till it smokes a lot but not on fire, once the smoke starts getting less, put more bacon grease on it, repeat about 5 times. It'll form a nice dark non stick layer, use soft sponge and dilute soap to clean.

the reason the pan warped is cause you put an egg in the center and it cooled the center, which shrank it temporarily in the center while the outer edges stayed the same temperature. then as it heated completely throughout it returned to its orginal shape. Im a welder and deal with sheet metal distortion alot this is how I know this lol
