This may be the best thing you've ever done. Next time, paint every tuning peg a different colour with nail polish, get a truss rod cover matching the pickguard, rout out a monkey grip, and install gold hardware.
And swap the pickup covers for three of different colors

I actually saw a Tesla Model 3 today that looked like someone airbrushed it to look like white and black marble...lol (or it was a wrap)
This is only tangentially related to your comment, but it's funny that you would use Tesla as an example, because all the original Silver Sky colors were taken directly from Tesla colors.
Also, a Tesla with a giant airbrushed wizard on the side sounds like the only cool Tesla ever.

The relic stikers gives the guitar a very vintage sound, it is very hard to explain, but I swear I can hear it. It's magic I guess!

Hey man, thanks again. We are always up for fun. BTW the "suprise" you put away at the beginning were our Ibby Blocks - we made them together with Dan (Ibanez) back then. We matched the color in the middle to this PRS Dragon Pink (what ever) color of the body just for you. We just didn't know what you were going to do with it 😅
As soon as Ryan got that sticker set out I wondered if you’d colour matched the pink, because it certainly looked that way. :)

I have the same one on my P Bass and I love it, but I get mixed comments from others for sure.

I modded a lot of guitars but as a true PRS fan, owning 8 of them and NEVER changed a thing on these amazing pieces of craftsmenship, this video felt like someone was pulling my nails off one by one 😂 Well done tho, enjoy the Silver Sky. Or Hipster Sky? ))

Only thing causing my anxiety to flare up here is the utter disregard for centering the front board stickers. As someone who has spent hours placing stick-on faux markers before. 😂😂

Awesome! I love it. Big fan of making an instrument your own by modding it to suit your own preferences. Stock guitars are like clones with nothing to distinguish them, whereas with this you can say with confidence that there's not another like it.
I don't know why, but that time lapse music fits the general vibe of 60 cycle hum very well. Can't quantify it, but it's as much as 6CH hallmark as the two Princetons jingle.

I think it works! Honestly without the faux relic stickers, I don’t think the pick guard would work. The organate stripping brings out the orange hues in the stickers and all of that goes really well with the pink finish. The block inlays add that extra opulence that makes this baby look like a peak 80’s arena rocking little six string

Congrats on the relic job. You could sell it as a Murphy Lab for a a bargain price of ten grand, but only if you actually mess up the guitar in some way and then claim after the fact that it is not a QC issue but that it is the interest of authenticity in aging the guitar realistically.
It would appear this is veiled mockery of relic’ ing . Which i am totally fine with although I kind of like ‘relics’. It’s quite the exercise . I enjoyed it .

I think it's only a matter of time before Paul Reed Smith and John Mayer are beating down your door to thank you for unlocking the true potential of the Silver Sky. Inspiring choices all around, especially covering those annoying not real birds with not real pearloid blocks. The relic stickers further bring an unmatched touch of class. In all seriousness, I think the new pick guard actually looks a lot better. I think stickers on guitars can be a lot of fun. I'm just not sure I would choose relic stickers or block inlay stickers lol. However, I do applaud your bravery and ambition.

I think the relic stickers could be really cool for music video props. For example, if your band is making a post-apocalyptic themed music video, you could 'relic' the guitars to make them suit the atmosphere of the video. Expand that line of reasoning to the myriad of topics it could cover, and they seem like they might have a reasonable use.

BTW the Ibanez AZ ES40 has a similar toggle switch that gives similar tonal options. It’s a great guitar for the price.

I wasn't bonding with it but upgraded to a Reverend 390.(as you've probably seen on your Facebook) What a night n day change. I did love that color dragon berry , makes you want to scratch n sniff or lick it like sherbet.

Very fun watch, thanks. I’ve got a couple guitars rigged with inlay stickers (from a different company), though I feel they look better when they’re images versus block inlays (where the depth is noticeable). One of mine is a graveyard scene and it’s very nice.

This was awesome- and most of all I want to try out of phase with series wiring! I think the guitar looks better - much more fun and eye catching
that pickguard would look awesome on a black strat, a white strat, or a red strat.

I like the wiring harness. I think the other Fretlook stickers with the pink inlays would have worked well with all of this. Edit: Maybe get a wiggle stick that is a bit longer to clear the knobs more?
If I knew you were doing this, and wanted to piss a few people off I could have sent you a nice sounding set of MIM strat pickups to put in your new picard with your new very crazy harness. :)
The result of this is the 1st time a PRS has looked even remotely appealing to me. Which probably says more about my own personal taste tbh. Definitely keep the pickguard on.

I got a Gunstreet harness because of the show sponsorship. It was a semi-standard 3 pickup LP Custom build. It never really worked properly. After going back and forth to the local shop twice, the tech just pulled it and I went with a different supplier for a new one. Kind of regret wasting the money.
You can test pickups w a phone or TV remote. Just put it next to the p-up.
I almost bought that *exact* same pickguard for my stone blue Silver Sky. I ended up deciding on a much less obnoxious one. (Tbh, I don't hate this look though.)
Also those out-of-phase tones sound great, that's an awesome addition to the guitar.
Ok, now do the same thing on a super eagle but with real relicing instead of stickers, just for the lols. You can also route it for a kaoss pad, that would be cool

Re/ the relic stickers: the big sticker shoulda wrapped around the edge, I think. It looks really odd-and not in the way we like-to have a relicked patch on the top only, with a perfectly regular sliver of dragonfruit paint before the edge.
Yay! You can misalign the fretboard stickers when aligning them just by eye! You are now qualified to work in the Chinese factory that makes those Zuwei guitars!

I got a fender 50's vintera modified strat guard complete from stratosphere that plays all 3 pickups. Still undecided if I like it enough to keep it or not.
Those PRS headstocks already cause them to be "ruined". Congratulations, PRS, you made a Strat with an ugly headstock!

I think I'd rather have some relic stickers for my old Fender amp. Yeah, like..... a worn circle where the can of beer has been sitting for the last 30 years. A couple cigarette burn stickers, too. Some for the corners so you can see the wood joints. And definitely a few for the front grill.
I'd say a solid color pickguard would show off the 'relic stickers' better than a busy pickguard. I'd rewire the guitar with the Armstrong Blender circuit (second tone knob blends between stock SSS and series HSH or anywhere between). Can you get a reverse/Hendrix bridge pickup slot in your pickguard? Do that if you can. It changes the tone in a great way.
