I'd like to know if I can put the G3 Tactical slide, barrel and recoil spring, into my regular G3 frame. That way I could still retain the thumb safety.
Dude thanks so much, I didn't know this was an option, and they currently had these going for $99, can't wait for it to arrive. I already have a red dot but all the mounting kits for the steel sight have been untrustworthy. They either had bad screws or play when mounted. Again thanks for the video, I had pretty much given up on mounting a red dot and was starting to look at getting a new gun with better options. Honestly I should have looked to Taurus first before looking at third party options.

Nice Moonswatch. ;) Anyway, good review. It just seems $150 kit for a $250 gun seems a little greedy on Taurus' part.
Good eye 👏🏽 I agree here. I think the conversion kit is geared towards buyers of the pre-TORO G3's, so they can convert without buying a whole new weapon. I would imagine that the factory TORO models make up the bulk of G3 sales now. Thanks for watching!

Good stuff I love my G3,and I want the Toro slide but I have the satin stainless looking slide and they only come in black hopefully Taurus starts making them.not a big deal I just would like that version.

@Practical Tactical can't make my own comment for some reason but does the G3 barrel already come threaded I have a g3 and will upgrade to toro rail soon but I wanna fit a muzzle device as well as a sight and light
Why are there tabs where the sight mounts?
On the slide? I would guess there's some mechanicals for the striker in there that Taurus needs to clearance. The tabs help stabilize the plate side to side as well.
Is it fine that that slide doesn’t come serialized?
Yes the frame is what matters for serial

Correct, the TORO slide does not come serialized.

Did they both use the same mounting plate?
I saw your video comparing the Holosun & Swampfox. It was really helpful. Think I’m going with the Swampfox-Liberty with Ironsides. Honestly these guys at this pawn shop didn’t know what they had and I got the optic ready G3 for a really good deal but they didn’t have the adapter plates.
