- We got a chance to visit Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri on May 31- June 1, 2021. In this video, I discuss what you can expect when visiting the park so that you can decide whether or not it's worth visiting. You'll hear about what rollercoasters the park has to offer and what the park operations are like.

So I’m an old guy who still has an appreciation for theme parks. I knew Six Flags quite well in the 70’s. As a season pass holder I spent lots of weekends there. SF over MA used to be an amazing place. Everything was clean, the landscape was beautiful with the most amazing hanging baskets. The employees were so very nice and really cared if you were enjoying yourself. There was almost a competition for kids to get a job there. Visitors to the park were generally very respectful and dressed in fun, casual, but appropriate attire. There was entertainment throughout the park with a lot of your favorite cartoon characters whether you were walking the park or standing in line for a ride. Over the years, this has all declined. You can see that they generally maintain the park but they sure don’t seem to go out of their way like they used to. Cleanliness is far from what it used to be and their efforts in landscape are pretty lame compared to years back. Besides being overly expensive, the food is crap and most of all the quality of employees has all but disappeared. It’s just a job to them and they don’t seem to give a crap about the visitors. It’s very. sad to see a landmark like this go to crap like it has but I guess that’s the common theme if places like this.
Management has changed a lot over the years but it also seems to be a generational divide. The only way to make younger people care more about their jobs is to make the job more enjoyable to do.
@@jking340 really? What better job can you get than working outside, trying to make people happy at a theme park? The problem is these kids think their owed before they even get to work. With all these immigrants looking for jobs, you’re gonna see them push these American kids right out of a job. Not for reasons of pay, but because they’re going to show their appreciation for the job.

Six Flags St. Louis is TOPS!!!
This is my home park. I agree and disagree on a few things. Usually the staff is very efficient, but for some rides they might be lazy. They usually don't have an attitude and are very funny. Those are the only things I disagree about, everything else is pretty much true. I get why some people don't like clones, but I can see why you might dislike batman. Mr. Freeze is awesome though, especially on the launch, and only has 1 other clone. Ninja needs to be replaced, Boomerang needs to be destroyed. Now, the wooden coasters are awesome. You have one scenic coaster, one smooth, yet thrilling coaster, and 1 downright bone shaking coaster. Also there ice cream and waffle cones are awesome. Anyway, decent video
Thanks for the feedback. Operations can always change day to day but it seems like there really hasn’t been much change ride-wise over the past decade.
@@jking340 True, though, there are some plans to RMC the boss and either replace ninja with a new coaster or put a coaster where the tidal wave was.

The theming is 1904 Worlds Fair because that was in St. Louis.
I always start off the day at Screaming Eagle because that ride always gets long lines early despite being in the back of the park, and it moves very slow. Then I head to Boss to try and get a ride where the midcourse doesn’t slow the train down. Then I hit Justice League and Mr. Freeze at the front of the park.
We know what to do for our home park, six flags over georgia, and basically just did a loop when visiting here!
@@jking340 nice. SFSTL is my home park, and that’s my pattern for getting my favorite rides in the park done early
Screaming Eagle doesn't exist anymore, your not so smart now are you Mr. Smartypants?
@@mathew3267 it was just closed for the last few months of 2021 because Superman: Tower of Power got removed. My friend is a ride op there, and he said it’ll likely be open on opening day

You go right when you walk in you start with batman then go around the park that way. Then you end with American thunder and get your food or ice cream right there. Then decide if there's enough time for another lap around. Batman as the first ride wakes you gets you ready for the rest of the rides. I just avoid ninja completely, no need to go see a chiropractor because of a roller coaster
Batman has the highest capacity of all the rollercoasters at this park so that’s why I feel like it’s better to ride that later on in the day and I imagine for anyone who visits this park regularly they don’t make Ninja a priority.
Feel like if they had rmc redo the boss it would attract alot more people then a glorified zipper like the catwoman their bringing in. Need a good coaster put in or redone to get more people in there, it's a ghost of the park it was just 5 years ago
It would make a top notch RMC and could be a very nice low-budget option for six Flags but they just seem to not care too much about this park
Maybe cedar fair would care more. Giving them a location close to illinois and far enough away from worlds of fun to not compete with their market
Cedar fair has plenty of parks they don’t care about too
I’ve been multiple times for years we stopped going cause it got boring and now we are going July 2nd-5th and imma be the only one wit my parents 😎

The service has be horrific the last few years. I can make do with boring as I enjoy walking the park for exercise. However the employees just do not seem to care to be there.

One time I was thinking of riding my ninja but after I heard that I was like no way I’m never riding a ninja

I wouldn’t say amazed. This park is just more wooded than other six flags parks.
Hey I actually like St. Louis Six Flags probably because of the only when I can go to though
I've always said six flags always has a way of creating long wait times when there is no reason for it. This year has been the worst year ever for it.

Bruh, I live in Illinois and our park is Six Flags Great America, my brother lives in St. Louis and yeah this park isn’t as good it kinda looks boring and dead appearance wise but maybe when I go there in a few weeks with my dad and brother it’ll be fun.
Well have fun at St. Louis! It at least has some different rides from great america but you probably don’t wanna visit with very high expectations.
@@jking340 Lol, I have low expectations for the ninja it is a vekoma and the layout is similar to the demon at Great America an also painful ride.
Is the illinois one better? I am planning to go to one of them next week
