The one m was my favorite BMM when it came out and I still love it even though I am a Audi man. Love the video Joe lots of surport from South Africa bro 🔥
Got mine last year and drove 10,000km in 11 months. Almost entirely weekend mileage. Almost one full tank every weekend. Everyone talks about values, but the increase is almost negligible as an investment. Hoping for maybe $10k increase over a full decade withholding mileage is terrible investment IMO. I wanted a nice example when buying but now I can't stop driving it. Screw investment, I'm going to drive 100k kms out of this car.
Personally, I think the 1M is firmly in the top 5 BMW’s ever made ( my other’s are the 2021 M2 CS, 2004 E46 M3, E39 M5, and the unmistakable 507) Aesthetically, the 1M is a masterpiece of sculptured BMW beauty.
I was filling my m140i up a few months ago and a 1m pulled up behind me, such a fine looking car even after 10 years, one of BMWs finest back when they new what drivers wanted
Really enjoyed the video, Joe. Great to hear about the "feelings" a car evokes, rather than too much on spec and comparatives. For me, the "feel" is what this car is all about. All the usable (road) power that's needed. Power delivery and steering feel is basically unmatched. I genuinely feel very privileged to own a 1M. It's such a special little thing. Completely standard car with exception of an Akra - just to hear it sing!
Always loved the 1M, the local dealer had a Valencia Orange demo vehicle back in the day. I currently drive an e82 125i 6mt remapped to 284hp. 10% of the value of a 1M, 90% of the fun. Very sharp and pointy, seat gets low compared to a Gti etc plus a 3L NA straight six, what not to like.
Love this mate. You should do more reviews of older model cars! The new models are getting a bit boring these days and not very engaging etc. We want more noise, Manuel shifting and excitement! Be interesting to see what the 2022 models will be like with the new mandatory speed restricters on them next year :( The worlds gone mad!
I have both! And ive pushed them to the limits and yes the M2 comp is more capable and the high end torque in the S55 Is amaizing but…. The 1M feels more special the steering feel is something else! the looks and just everything about it makes it feel way more special than the m2comp!
Great video as always Joe. My 1M turns 10 yrs old this month but the car still turns heads. Also, one correction, the M button just changes throttle sensitivity. For extra torque, just kick down the accelerator for over boost up to 10 seconds.
Me too bro! People have slept on the fact it's a one series with the last NA inline six and only 3000lbs. Future collector for sure! Daily mine, best car I've ever owned. Be well friend

The 1M and the OG M2 were special project cars from the M division. They look unusual but that's because they have bits and pieces added later to enhance performance. Both are fantastic. The 1M has the fantastic N54 engine and the OG M2 has a trick track-spec N55. The later M2C is heavier and has some styling tweaks but it's still good car as well.
Beautiful scenery, STUNNING example of a car and great video. Love the 1M, always have. Hence I feel my N55 manual M2 is the next best thing for alot less money. Great car. I wanted one when they came out but did not have the means. They were discontinued when I bought my M2. The 1 series M Coupe will very likely become a classic that will increase in value over time. Especially considering how few were made.

Bmw 1m a bench mark for cars built after. The m2 built from the knowledge of the 1m then progressed to another level don't get me wrong the 1m is a fantastic car id love to have one in my stable but compared to a m2 a bit behind. If the m2 wasn't a better car bmw wouldn't be doing there job for us the public. 🤔 A friend mentioned years ago the 1m roof line is an inch to high im sure that will register with a few people. Bmw have lost there identity after the 1m as the new m3/4 shows. Please bring back the M people that made the m brand special .

Good video 😀🔥
Bmw 1m a bench mark for cars built after. The m2 built from the knowledge of the 1m then progressed to another level don't get me wrong the 1m is a fantastic car id love to have one in my stable but compared to a m2 a bit behind. If the m2 wasn't a better car bmw wouldn't be doing there job for us the public. 🤔 A friend mentioned years ago the 1m roof line is an inch to high im sure that will register with a few people. Bmw have lost there identity after the 1m as the new m3/4 shows. Please bring back the M people that made the m brand special .
😍 It's stunning
