- Many of you have seen this very 1M Coupe. It's quite special and it's really grown on me over the years. Lots of miles, a few laps on the Nordschleife and a few sets of tires. The owner has now decided to sell the car, which means you have the opportunity to to bid on it at auction over at collectingcars...

The 1M will probably become one of the most collectible BMW's of all time I'm calling it, with low production numbers and being discontinued; I can only see the value of this car going up.

in general yes, but this example probably not with all the mods and heavy usage, so not a collectors car which will bring the big money

I have 135i, love the E82, very special & unique platform. Right size, RWD, 6cylinder, easy to tune, incredible sound, no opf filters, no tech gimmicks, mine has no idrive or sunroof.
I just picked up a thoughtfully modified 1m (black, barebones, no nav, no electric seats) and agree with everything said here. The car sticks like glue. Well, it is a little loud but wow. It is telepathic. The steering, the power, the handling are all amazing. Basically invincible. Solid/poly bushings, clutch pack LSD, carbon fiber driveshaft, exhaust, cooling.... I'm putting F80 M3 brakes to complete the package.
The 1M is my dream car. I'm not looking for the fastest lap time. Instead, I value interesting, characterful and challenging driving dynamics and this is where the 1M shines IMO.
Your video on this car actually convinced me to buy my very own 1M! Sad to see her go. Excellent video as always!

Videos like this had me lusting for the last two years and I finally did so as well (half by accident, bidding on a car I didn't expect to win). I am done. No more buying and then selling performance cars. This is the one. It's going to save me money in the long run (less buying and selling lesser cars, more holding its value)
There is nothing to add … I have my 1M since 2013 and I love this car since the first day I have!
Fitment on this is so on point. Flush with the wide arches, not hidden away or sticking out. Not stupidly low but not factory high. Green wrap on the gold wheels is a good combo. You have done all the right things in modifying this car (wheels, suspension etc).
Perfect tint .color seting 👌👌
I really like these rims in comparison to the usual Apex or BBS selections, they really give it that aggressive aftermarket look without overdoing the Aesthetic.

Best looking car that BMW has ever put out, and also the coolest. This sits firmly in the list of my top three favourite cars alongside the Lotus Elise and Exige. The exhaust note on this particular car is just intoxicating.

I don't, I got a 135i with the more reliable N55 & stage 1+, makes the same power as the 1M. Its way cheaper to have a 135i. Same car without the fenders.
@@DigitalDissident I also got a N55 with MHD Stage 1 but those fenders make a huge difference. 😍
And the axles are way different to the "normal" ones.
They're all great. I had a Sedona red E82 120i, Then got a blue 135... The 120i seemed lighter up front & I preferred the electronic steering. Bought the 135 for the engine power, sound, & performance of course

Super sad to see this car go, but it makes me excited for all the modifications I will be doing to my 135i. I already have a collection of parts in my garage & waiting for more, for a bushing & control arm overhaul I will be doing this spring. I dream of a limited slip differential and stronger axles, 🙏 but that day will come.

Totally agree. The 1M looks so aggressive even sitting still. It's a modify for me on this car not a garage queen. Special cars are meant to be driven.

I for one do think they produced that again. It's called a M2CS. Same angry little "look at me" with the fenders and quarters all bowed out. These are some of my favorite videos watching you drift that thing around corners. Thank you for sharing with us!
The M2CS is technically faster but not as engaging to drive. according to an M2CS owner I know.

Ive always been a tremendous fan of this car. The looks are astounding. This first time I saw that classic orange on the road I was smitten. I have heard issues with road feel in the steering but I’d still take it with this car.
I just got a 1M and I don't know what you are talking about with regard to road feel lol. It's telepathic. Ultra direct, can feel everything, I just look where I want to go and the car goes there. Best steering rack I've ever had. And the end of the line for communicative steering at BMW as everything since the M2 is an electronic rack which is just dull.
1M is when the parts bin car turns out better than the cars the parts were originally designed for.
As an e30 lover.. the 1 series is definitely my favorite of bmws modern lineup
I think the 1M inherited the e46 M3 DNA that the e90/e92 M3 didn't.
BMW have been using that same dead pedal forever. Amazing car.
I've seen that car on the Nordschleife and a few months later driving past my flat in the region of Munich.

#healandtoe: Since you don't mind it when people modify super rear BMW's then you should have a look at my 1995 M3 GT 111/356,, I converted the S50B30GT into a BiTurbo in 2008, and installed ceramic brakes in 2007. I still have it so if you fancy a drive ;)

I bought a 1M recently and it has a 3.45 - still highway drivable with extra low end torque. I was thinking to put it back to the 3.15 but it's grown on me.
Try the 1 series seats before replacing. Unless you need the six point harnesses, you may find them to be sufficient. The non-electric adjusting seats have quite a lot of side bolster.

wenn du das ding regelmäßig auf der strecke benutzt und es dementsprechend benutzt wird bzw das öl durchgekocht wird (da der 1m ja eh bekannt ist für hitzeprobleme), ist das sehr zu empfehlen :)
