Chunky Hand Knit Blanket Tutorial- Adult Throw

  • Super beginner friendly tutorial for an adult size throw!
    Tools needed- 6 skeins of yarn, scissors, and your hands!!! That’s it!
    Completed size will depend on many factors, yarn brand/type/size, how tight or loose your loops are. My throw with 6 skeins of yarn is about 3 feet wide and 5-5.5 foot long roughly. Looser stitches will make your blanket a tad wider and longer.
    Please email me a picture of your completed work! Emilyrobbinsnest@gmail.com I would love to make a RUclips video of everyone’s blankets!

    You are the only one who explained the edges clearly and now I finally got it right after three attempts with other RUclipsrs’s tutorial. Thank you so much!

    I love that you went through the whole process without skipping ahead. I love chunky blankets like this. Something about the chunkyness makes them seem so cozy!

    Thank you for being the only creator to tell me how much yard is needed. All the others tell you number of loops to starts but never how many balls you need to buy first. You also have some very helpful tips. Thank you and keep up the great work.

    Agreed! Thank you so much for the video and the pace. I’m a beginner and it was nice that you didn’t fast forward. You’re very easy to follow and explain things perfectly. Thanks again. I’m going to be trying this tomorrow after I find the yarn. I’m going to make two (hopefully) for my twin daughter’s 21st birthday.

    This is the nicest blanket I’ve seen. It’s because of how you do the sides. It’s gorgeous.

    I’m on my third blanket like this. I do make them a bit tighter but either way they look beautiful. I searched for probably hours and skimmed through so many videos to find your video because I knew “I saw it somewhere” 😂…your techniques (the second row and also how you do the sides ) ensures all sides look finished and polished and it was exactly what I was missing! Thank you SO MUCH 🙌🏼💗

    Thank You so much for making this videos at a true beginners stage! Easy to follow & now that I worked quite awhile on my last night, I think I forgot to keep leaving the loop out! Ugh, not sure but for me, the looseness of the blanket is bugging me & idk what to do! Sigh, You make it look so easy! It is really! We’ll, off I go & I my try bringing in a folding table to help with the height & more room
    for blanket! Thanks again! Going back or I may start wit a new skein of yarn. We’ll see! Lol 👍🏼😁😍

      I think you are asking about skipping the first loop? The first loop you skip will hang off to the side for the row. When you complete the row make sure you go into that loop that you skipped for the last stitch of the row

    • @robbinsnesthandmade421
      @robbinsnesthandmade421  Год назад

      Pricing your blankets depends on the area you live, availability and price of your yarn. I would price each blanket differently depending on price of the yarn

  • @LilyBecca

    What is the difference between the middle bump and back bump? At first, you said we would be using the middle bumps, but when you turned it over and started making the loops, you were pulling them through what you called the back bump. I'm confused.

    • @robbinsnesthandmade421
      @robbinsnesthandmade421  Год назад +1

      I don’t have a specific yardage I follow, I just go with 6 skeins typically. The skeins are usually 28-33 yards each.

      It will depend on how much yarn, how tight your stitches are. If I had to guess I would say its about 5ft by 3ft
