    I've never been crafty, so you were talking to me. I'm nervous about my very first crat project. I've bought my skeins, and going to try to follow these directions the best I can. I got lost a couple of times, so going to have to watch a couple of times, I'm sure. Thanks for the confidence to try, and step out of my comfort zone.

    This is much better than the other videos on this as they have lots of thick ribs. This is more compacted and ends up thicker looking.

Then my girlfriend told me about a Valentines class last week and it just inspired me to get back into crafting. So, I want to sign up for the class because my gf said she & a few others tried to do it by watching RUclips and hers came out like a "Triangle of sorts", lol so I've been watching a few people's video's and glad I came across it. I actually had watched it before but I like that you take it at a slower pace & I can stop, rewind etc too (haha) but I enjoyed your video very much and Thank You! I already had done the braid part but was getting stuck at the main step #2. Now I think I got it! LOL I think! Hi Jen
      Your y-tube video is the perfect teaching tool. Your instruction is easy to understand. Sometimes I find repositioning myself helps me follow your hands and your verbal direction. My sister and I made our first blanket over the summer and we made a few mistakes but we pulled some rows out and we were able to fix what we did. So my sister took that blanket home with her to Florida. I have finished my second blanket and I have to agree with you that it is relaxing, reduces stress and creating this beautiful blanket has made me so proud. I am already looking at yarn colors and planning to make my next blanket for my husband. But I now have a waiting list for future blankets my children and grandchildren all want one too ! You have helped me feel proud of this new and developing creativity I have found.
      The color of this completed blanket is limestone (black, white, gray) and it is just amazing. I will send you a picture if I can figure out how to do it. I really appreciate you wanting to share with all of us this wonderful gift you have.
      Thank You for sharing it with me. Diane Smith from Boston Ma.

    Do you have a cheat sheet on sizing? I’d like to make a throw blanket for my lap-do you know how many loops for your chain?

    • @redesignedrose
      @redesignedrose  Месяц назад +3

      Sizes can vary depending on how loose or how tight your loops are. I don't have a chart, however, if I'm looking to make a certain size blanket I will create chains and lay that chain across the couch, or bed or wherever it will end up to see if I like the size and then go from there. That is what is so great about these blankets is they are extremely customizable!

    How do you determine how much yarn you need? I'd like to make one for my bed, was thinking at least queen size, may just go king (90" x 94" )

    • @redesignedrose
      @redesignedrose  10 месяцев назад +2

      To find the best recipe for that, what I do is create a chain and lay it across the bed to be sure it is as wide as I need it to be. I then work up 2 skeins of yarn and measure how long the blanket is at that point. Then I decide how long I need the blanket and figure out how many more skeins I need to buy :)
