Bring back. Old memories, my brother graduated with him in lntermountain high school, i'm met him a few times in Farmington, New Mexico 1980 to 1983, i. Still listen to navajo sundowners, also George Strait, l'm old school!!😅
Good old Mariano and Sundowners 60s & 70s music. Harold was a solo artist, the last time I heard him play was around 1984 at the The Turnaround Lounge in the Hutton Plaza 20th St in Farmington, NM. I used to work with her younger sister Aureatta at Grand Central Stores back then.
I'm from both rez pine ridge and Navajo nation I brought all sundowners tapes to winner SD and people like it and they stole most of my tapes that's how good it was back in the day
I do not mind paying to listen to Navajo Sundowners music so royalties go to them or their family. Canyon Records in Phoenix no longer have them to sell. Originals are also lost I was told.
I don't make any money off this page, just sharing them so the artists' families, communities, and other native folks can hear them! I hope their releases can get reissued someday. I've only heard a couple albums myself.
The original copies are in the possession of either Harold Mariano or their manager Frank Sandavol. Due to legal disputes between the two.. they are not reissuing the music.
Usually flea markets around the Navajo Rez will sell them bootleg style I don’t think anyone has the original copies anymore That’s where I got all my fenders cds
In 1974 I bought my first car from Richfield Utah, the next day we put an 8-track, we had most of the tapes from the sundowners love that music 🎶
Bring back.

Great music... oh shi ❤
Thank you. Where would I find the old Sundowners for purchase? Also the old Fenders.
As far as I know you can't buy their music anywhere due to disputes with Canyon a while back. I'll do my best to track down what I can and post here!
I heard Ellis Tanner Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico sells them.
