I like this one too. - The blade is easy to access, sharp and long enough to be highly functionnal. - The pliers are not meant to replace those on a Wave, let alone a set of Channellocks, but they're serviceable enough for me. They will tighten/loosen bolts, cut wire and help you manipulate small objects. - The bit driver is a nice addition. I love the fact that the bit is locked in place. Plus you have another one onboard. - The carabiner clip is brilliant in my opinion. It opens up a whole new world of carry options plus it makes a great bottle opener (no need to search for it, no need to unfold it, plus when using it you can use the whole tool as a lever, which makes it quite effective). - Solid EDC choice if you ask me.
@@jamessanders2525 My father has that same concern, so he actually took the pocket clip off of his Skeletool CX and now carries it loosely in his pocket🤣That's the beauty of the Skeletool, you can clip it to your pocket, carry it loosely in your pocket, carry it in a sheath with or without the bit kit, clip it to a belt loop, clip it to your keys, clip it to your backpack and the list goes on...
The combo carabiner bottle opener was brilliant, I carry a free p2 nowadays but if I’m wearing shorts I prefer to clip it on my belt loops and the bottle opener is the best bottle opener I’ve used. People complain about the pliers and the ergonomics but it’s fine for what it is I don’t like the bit driver ergonomics, I hate that I have to use it in long mode
Charge is a great tool. I've got one. Personally I think you should check out the Wave +. Same tools basically for half the price. You don't get a S30v blade on the Wave but, the tempering on there 420hc is good. Either is a great choice.
@@CraigRivest I take that back, it's a good Multi tool but in comparison to the other models at least in my situations it wasn't as good 🤷. Lacked a little bit but made up in aesthetics. Needs a few more tools and it would've been awesome .
@@frankc4862honestly curious what you feel is missing. How often do you use the dinky hand file and saw? And what can be cut by scissors but not a knife? It confuses me how people bash this tool for not having enough when it's considered a minimalistic tool. The skeletool is only what you need and nothing you don't.
@wttatb I 100% agree with all you said. I have been carrying my Skeletool every day since making this video. It’s is still my EDC knife and it’s taken a beating.
I've carried the skeletool cx in my back right pocket along with the additional bit set you can get for the past six years. It is by far the best multitool in my opinion. But for me having the additional bit set and the custom soft layer carrier i made for it that what makes it a life long daily tool for me.
I used one of these to save my dog on friday when he got tangled in unseen fishing line and a lure in a pond. Waded out and the Skeletool cut through the fishing line in an instant. The blade comes oit very easy which helped. Decided to get a Signal so i had even more options for the future. Skeletool is so neat and small to carry.
That’s the skeletool rx, comes with a full serrated blade instead of a combo blade. You can also buy the glass breaker bit separate and use it on any other leatherman bit driver it’s like 5 bones
I considered the non serrated version but decided since I already pack another Leatherman in beefier pliers and ofc a hit driver in my edc pockit organizer I got a Leatherman t4 I carry in another pocket for fast deployment of the tools I need sans pliers and bit driver
I tried the cx version .. was great until the spring that holds the bit secure messed up and I sent it in for refund and 6 months later I'm still fighting for my money back .... Not very happy with Leatherman
I always thought it would be cool to mod it by removing the carabiner side and adding another blade and bit driver side for both sides.full serrated on one and full fine edge on the other !
I'd like to see one with scissors, an saw. That would be perfect. I'm not a fan of leatherman bits they are soft and strip out very easy. I can't believe I'm the only one that's had that happen.
PLEASE ANSWER: Been EDC carrying a skeletool for about three months now. Absolutely love it. HOWEVER. My pocket clip bent out a couple days ago it must've caught on something. I'm sure it can he replaced but have you had any similar situations??
You can take out the main torx screw on the clip side and then the whole clip comes out. Bend it back to how you want and reinstall. If you want it perfect then email leatherman for a replacement.
Crap absolute crap... Found one of these in my knife sack. Was checking it out and was convinced I was missing some functionality. Nope... Weighs a ton and has what 3 tools. Junk

Absolutely! You nailed this!
@@CraigRivest Thanks! Although it’s a little tight, it even fits in my change pocket. This frees up my actual pocket for my wallet, phone, keys, etc.
My only gripe with it is that there isn’t a deep carry clip on it, but that’s just personal preference. Definitely would recommend for edc.

A great MT to save the day, and light too.
I have owned a one for years now. Very handy tool
About to be on my third one. Best all around EDC
Same here, had mine probably 12 - 14 years now
Wow its nice 😊
I love the looks of it but you should check out the charge + if you're ever looking for more utility.
Thanks, I’ll give it a look.

Does it fit standard 1/4 inch bits?
No it does not. These bits are flattened on an edge.
Multi-tool ASMR hoooya
*pocket clip
Probably the most useless of their whole line of tools 😬. Aesthetically pleasing though.
I dunno about that. I’ve been carrying mine daily for over a year and I find it very useful, pliers, screwdrivers and knife.

Its a fantastic tool carry it everyday at work
Owned one, wasn't a fan. Chunky and very limited
Oh my god I watched over 25 video to find out how to open the rest of the features .. non
I thought these came with a window breaker
Only certain models. You can buy the glass breaker separately though.

Only wish pliers were machined steel... :(
Have the CX model. Very happy!!! Nice EDC
I’m was skeptical about the size before ordering it, was worried it would be too big, but it’s a perfect size.
Weak. The Springs break.

interesting what comes onto my home screen
I don’t bother cutting a multi tool atm
I wish i had one
Buy one
The blade is much more significant than some other models, this is pretty great.
I like that aspect too, a very functional blade relative to the size of the tool, makes it an interesting alternative to a folder👍
The Juice and the Squirt are discontinued. What model has a shorter blade? I think this is one of Leathermans smallest currently.
Had mine for many years, blade still sharp and the pliers are precision ground.
I’ve carried one every day for 2 years, not a single bad word to say about it, it dissapears in your pocket until you need it
Everyone knows the wave is the best leather man❤
Skeletool CX model is better 😊
Are your pliers a little stiff?
There were a little when they were brand new, not they are nice without being too loose.
Everyday carry for me, use it at work non stop.
I wonder if this painted version is more or less resistant to rust then the stainless model
That’s a good question. I do like the looks of the painted one better, and I will say it’s been taking use and abuse pretty well.
If it’s a black oxide model I’m pretty sure by a little bit (which I think this particular tool is cerekote for the tan bits and black is the oxide)
You missed the.bottle opener in the carabiner I think 🤔
I did in this video. But I do use it quite often.
Best edc tool
Hate those blades
what you call me?
A $5 carbide tip point belongs in where the Phillips bit is.
I believe there’s another “responders” version that has a carbide window breaker.
A belt clip and replaceable wire cutters would make this thing truly great and in a brown carbon fiber kydex sheath would be awesome
It has a belt clip in it
It has a belt clip.
Does this come in a plain edge. Please tell me this comes in a plain edge.
It does, the skeeletool CX has a plain edge
trying to find one for mechanic. I just do basic maintenance any advice on leathermans

Yes it does, I still carry this knife everyday.
👀
Is that OD green or Tan?
It’s tan and black.
Fde/blk. Flat Dark Earth & Black
Mine broke in less than a month. Leatherman isn't what it used to be.
Weird, I use my almost everyday and it’s been great. Little weathered but in great shape.

I bought one for 97 (after tax). Ended up returning it and that 97 payed for most of my EDC loadout instead.
Sound kinda weak bro
Wanna sell it 😅
im a cheap ass so if its less than 40$ ill buy it... lord knows these EDC toys can be 100s of dollars most of the time
