This Subaru Impreza Gauge Package features a GlowShift 7 Color Series Boost/Vacuum Gauge, Fuel Pressure Gauge, and Oil Pressure Gauge. Also included is a Triple Subaru Dash Gauge Pod custom made for the 2002-2007 WRX STI. We went with this set of Subaru gauges and pods based on feedback from our Tech Team, who recommended them for this year range. For this installation, we also use a 2004 model.
We kick off the process by installing the Boost Gauge Vacuum Hose and pressure sensors. To prepare for the Boost/Vacuum Gauge install we cut a Vacuum Boost Line, insert a Boost T Fitting, and add the Boost Hose we include with the gauge. Then we install the Fuel Pressure Sensor using our Fuel Line Fuel Pressure T Fitting Adapter made specifically for the Subaru Impreza. This adapter enables you to tee off the fuel pressure feed line for extremely accurate readings. To install the Oil Pressure Sensor we use our Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter. We drain the oil from the engine and remove the oil filter. Then we replace the filter with the oil sensor adapter which has the pressure sensor threaded into it.
Once the sensors have been installed, the sensor wires and Boost Hose are run to the driver’s side firewall, keeping clear of any moving parts, and then into the Subaru’s cabin. The next step is the installation of our Black Impreza Dashboard Gauge Pod, which is custom made for the 2002-2007 WRX STI and is specifically designed to replace the factory clock. After adding the gauges to the Subaru Impreza triple gauge pod we proceed to install it and make all necessary wire connections. This video will walk you through every detail of the process step-by-step and provide a complete breakdown of everything needed for installation.

Find it funny. The T piece for boost gauge. Only one hose clamp for the now 3 lines. Should be 3 really.
a tight cable tie will do !
Question: Putting that T fitting doesn't reduce the boost since now there is a deviation for the gauge reading?
it would if you tapped into waste gate actuator line. but if you tap into blow off valve like in the vid it wont.@@ivervj2923
@@ivervj2923nope won’t affect anything
The first youtube chanell to use a diesel engine as a intro
i do not recommend removing exhaust heat shields = = so much more under bonnet heat ! = even fit a turbo blanket and your subaru will love you ! = all these gauges great idea and often needed ! = GO SUBARU - more smiles per miles !
i love it
Don’t tap in to the clock/passenger air bag indicator wiring on 2006/2007 models. and be sure to leave that clock/air bag indicator plugged in and tucked away or You WILL get an airbag light.
New to Subies, I have 06' WRX. So youre saying dont use the wires for the clock in the center?
Whyd he have to use half the roll of Teflon on one thread of the t fitting lol
SUUUUBIEEE!!💪💙💯
The shroud could be a lot better, needs to match the dash, plus clip in the same places where the clock came out. I have a PSI 3 reader on my dash, plug and play into the OBD....but doesn't have oil temp or pressure readings, I'd need work done to facilitate that.
You could flock the entire dash including the bezel piece so everything matches. But trying to match material from a 15+ year car isn’t going to be the easiest thing. It’s always going to look either off or newer.
Where can I get some of those nice over the wire crimp on fittings.
Don’t tap in to the clock/passenger air bag indicator wiring on 2006/2007 models and be sure to leave that clock/air bag indicator plugged in and tucked away or You WILL get an airbag light/malfunction
well said and thank you !
Boost pressure gauge needle not swip up when ignition on
10:44 how did the screws on the back of the gauge grow like that
Your gauge should have come with extensions that screw onto the back of the gauge.
installed the kit w boost, oil pressure and temp, and now my ambient temp is reading 122° and the oil press and temp are maxed on gauges on start
Can you verify which gauge series your gauges are? Double check that the temp sensors are connected to the correct gauges. Our gauges tend to max out when the wrong sensor is attached.
In my 04 wrx i keep blowing my fuse has anyone had to use a bigger fuse for it to stop blowing? Fuse in question is the radio fuse its a 15
The 15 should be fine. Double check all the wiring to make sure it is all secured and there are no shorts.
And how much was all that I mean how much do you charge? I wanna do it to my 02 WRX IMPREZA
We do not do customer installations but the price of the gauge packages will vary depending on which gauges and pod you choose. Click the link in the description and it will take you to the page where you can configure your package.
can this install be done on an 01 wrx
Cant see why not
Can I install the oil pressure gauge without using a sandwich adapter?
Yes, as long as you have a port on the engine that will show oil pressure.
Sandwich adapters introduce another point of failure to the mix, so I would avoid those if I were you. The best place is the port underneath the alternator. That is where the OEM one is, which is just above the oil pump. Swap out the OEM one with your gauge sensor and your golden. The engineers put it there for a reason.
Does anyone have a link to the red female terminal connector, can’t seem to find them anywhere
Did you find them by chance?
Autozone
Where can I get longer wires
make them = or get the roadie to do it !
What size is that sandwich adapter?
20mm 1.5 thread: www.glowshiftdirect.com/oil-filter-sandwich-adapter-20mm-1-5-thread/
it's too complex for me
I did this exactly how in the video and the clock harness cant handle enough amperage to power the gauges and the fuse blows, why design your instructions around a method that doesnt even work?
Double check your wiring to make sure you do not have a short somewhere. Also verify that the correct amp fuse is being used. Using the clock harness should not be blowing the fuse.
@@GlowShift The fuse being used is a 15 amp which is what is used in the wiring diagram on the back of the cover, its wired up properly because for the first 15 minutes everything worked flawlessly like it should. I'm wiring it up to the fuses behind the coin tray instead with add a fuses circuits.
These don't even draw close to enough power for the little LED's. Hell your stock clock should be pulling more amperage than these 3 gauges with that normal light bulb. You had a short there, buddy. Always triple check.
Hi, how to install speedometer in corolla 94?
The same way you put blinker fluid in the car
@@Rangerdanger575 😂😂😂
Damn that’s like 40 feet of boost line. Some gauges only need 12 inches of hose
Man this too confusing. Hell naw I’m out
