No problem. I actually did the stage 2 tune, but we tweaked a few things after each set of data logging. I had two modifications to the tune made (1 change after each log and review after to make sure everything looked good and ran well).
I'm my opinion this platform is very nailed down when it comes to the upgrade/modification path. The stage 2 tune has a bunch of preset parameters like an OTS tune, but the difference is that most tuners will receive the data logs and make adjustments accordingly to dial your tune in (like header differences based on manufacturer, diameter of piping for exhaust gases/airflow, etc). This will change the tune to become specific to your car and region of where you live, since I live in Michigan my tune will differ slightly compared to say someone who lives where the climate is hot all year round or if they have similar parts but different sizes, cats, etc. Custom remote tuning is usually a service used when you go FI, to help dial in the huge bump in power, torque, along with supporting mods that will factor in.
Fantastic video! I was worried about this process after my headers and exhaust are installed. You explained it well and I feel confident now. May I ask which mods you have on your Berz?
Glad it could help and thanks for checking out the video! Currently I have Tomei UEL headers, Tomei joint pipe, HKS dual resonated front pipe, Maperformance 3inch catback, and flex fuel. I'm considering a JDL turbo kit, but currently I'm enjoying what's already been done so far, so no rush.
@@itshanrogers8977 I should be receiving the tunes from Delicious tuning within the week. For sure I'm going to pull up this video again when I try to setup! haah
I don't have a link on hand, but the brand is iottie. They make a few different kinds, the suction cup one is pretty solid, the cup has not permanent adhesive baked on it, which keeps it planted nicely.
how long was the whole data logging and revision process sending files back and forth from Delicious Tuning? I only have like three to four days to dial in my tune so I'm wondering if that will be enough time to get the revisions done. Thanks!
I'm sure everyone's timing is different, but Bill had me setup within a day. Literally sent a revision to me in about 30 minutes after my logs were sent over. I only needed 1 revision.
At the time I think the tune was around 4-500. E-tuning seems to be on the rise in pricing though, pending on which reputable tuner you go for - timing plays a factor as well, I've seen them have some holiday specials. All in all though - Bill and Nazar did a great job and would recommend them for this platform.
If I'm not mistaken I recall seeing an option when I was on the laptop using the ecutek software. If not I would consult your tuner, but I'm pretty positive it was buried in the ecutek computer software. When hooking it up for the first time it should have ran through backing up your stock tune, but also ecutek has "stock" roms for most if not all the vehicles supported.
I have my brz in stage 2 plus right now with my open flash tablet . When I purchase ecu tek and start to “detect vehicle “ to start the tuning process ,Do I have to flash back to normal stock with my open flash tablet ??
Yup. Flashback stock with your OFT first. Afterwards divorce (unmarry) the OFT using your PC. You can then do whatever you wish with it - sell, hold onto, etc. After all that, start up the ecuTek process. Hey man thank you for your very Informative video. Did you opt out for the delicious tuning stage 2 tune or was it the “custom remote tuning” option?

Ahh, so many steps. I'm nervous to get started
Honestly once you get started it's not bad. The initial excitement makes the process feel like it's pretty quick.

How much did delicious charge for the tuning?

I recently bought brz and it has the E-TUN on it How can I know the maps and the modifications stored in them?
I can't reach the seller
Take it to a mechanic that modify cars and ask them to check the car out and list all mods that the car has.
If I wanted to flash the stock tune back on how would I do that
