Yes, typically "erase pending" indicates the watch isn't connected to the internet. You should see an option to stop the erase request and remove the watch, or sometimes you'll see a small "x" in the top pull down box where it lists your devices on the Find My page (with map in the background).
If the erase fails due to the watch not being connected to wifi will you still be able to remove it from iCloud then erase it from the watch without the lock?
If you are referring the remote erase option via icloud.com/find - then yes...most of the time you'll see a small "x" in the main list of devices (at top pull down) on the "Find my..." page with map in background. Sometimes you'll also see a "Remove from Account" option as well. Just don't confuse the "Find my..." page with the "Devices" page. The latter "Devices" page on your iCloud is completely separate from the "Find my..." section. A lot of times folks go to the "Devices" page and remove it thinking they've solved the problem, when in reality that's more of a history. If your watch itself hasn't been erased, it's possible it may reassociate itself with your account, so whoever has your watch should also complete an erase on the watch prior to or at the same time. I know all this is VERY confusing...unfortunately Apple designed it that way. If any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

No, if you've reset your Apple watch already and it is no longer associated with the iPhone, you can use the remote removal procedure at about 1:59 timecode. You'll be prompted to initiate the "erase" request first, but when you cancel, you should see an option to remove either near upper right corner as shown in video, or in the top center pull down list with a small "x" next to device name.
What I did last week is that I actually sign out the Apple Watch of my sister phone and what happens is that I tried activating my phone to my Apple Watch and it still says activation lock and I can’t remove it idk what to do
Apple should show the ID it is attached to (or at least part of it with asterisks). Then you should be able to identify which account it is locked to. Then follow our instructions in the video to remotely remove it :)
I brought a Apple Watch for my wife to use for her phone to find out a Apple Watch do not work on a galaxy phone so I try to resale the watch to get a galaxy phone to find out the Apple Watch is lock to search for my phone how do I get it taken off without the owner to the watch?
Unfortunately the only way to get the "Find my..." feature off is to contact the original owner. It's a frustrating feature in cases like this, as it leaves the watch like a paperweight essentially.
Hey guys, I recently got back to using my old Apple Watch Series 3 but realized that it was iCloud activation lock to my old Apple ID, unfortunately I don’t know the password or Apple ID for me to login again, I know, stupid of me lol, do you guys know any way I can fix this, I tried using an iCloud activation unlock service but they reported it as stolen and couldn’t verify it
Apple support should be able to help clear it up for you, but they'll probably make you do a lot of things like proof of ownership, etc. and it may take several days/replies/phone calls, etc. However, Apple should be able to straighten it out for you. Sorry for the bad news there, but hope they can get it cleared up for you! Otherwise, if you could figure out a way to reset your old ID and password, that would be a self-service method.
