Did the guy a huge favor with this one and he probably doesn’t even realize it. Well done
I love the fact you left the part in where you forgot to use the flare nut. Thanks for showing that. Great job.
WE ALL FORGET THE FLARE NUTS, were not robots!
You did this guy a huge favor
Tell me about it. He was very apprehensive at first, but I think I appease him in bringing his system back to life and I know as long as electrically the system functions the mechanical side of the system. The refrigerant inside of the system will work flawlessly as long as no leaks develop in the existing line set.
@@PipeDoctor Probably also got a customer for life now too
Great job as always. Haters always accuse you of trying to get big $$ from your customers. Big heart Mikey pipes
You saved that man a new pair of Air Jordan’s!
I was waiting on the Air Jordan’s response
Yep!
Big hand for saving the homeowner some cash!! The Golden Bracelet HVAC MacGiver!!
You did the absolute right thing for the customer.
Thanks!
You saved him and found the real leak - way to go Mike!
Thanks!
Mike went RAW, no Nylog, ain't got no time for that or needed.
Always raw dog
Good feeling to know your quick and dirty is better than the best of a hack
One thousand fuck in g percent
@@PipeDoctor YEPPERS SYSTEMS ALREADY F ED UP..AN EXPERIMENT..SO HOW LONG IT LASTS
Hacks bring you stacks!! Excellent work as usual Mikey F'in Pipes!
Thanks again!
GREAT JOB MIKEY
GHAT UNIT IS ACTUALLY A GOOD UNIT
BUT INSTALLED CRAPPY
THANK GOODNESS YOU MADE IT GREAT AGAIN!
Amen 🙏
Yes, I also like these blueridge units. Good quality at good price
Mike you did what you needed to do. With what you had to work with. We all have had to do the same many times over. Good job
you got a customer for life on that job Mikey F en PIPES!!!!!!!
I hope so
I love it when they leave the excess tubing coiled up behind the unit, creating an oil trap after oil trap, after oil trap. Have a nice day MP
thats how you make minimum length requirements. I've had FUJITSU field service reps confirm this is what they want. Prove the manufacture wrong
Just as I said “you forgot the nut!” 😂😂
Happens to the best of us Mikey!
Sucks. Easy to correct with the flaring tool
@@PipeDoctor yes sir! Take care! 😃
Mike thanks for the "flare nut forgetting'" I was MIKE MIKE you forget something
Great job Mikey Pipes....as always!
Thanks again!
As the navac flaring tool was going i was like nooooooooooo mike put the nut on there then skips to cutting it out shit had me in tears 😂 i never heard of that brand these amazon brands are getting crazy
Yeah, I messed up there and I did not include the flare nut
They are all pretty much made in the same Chinese factory, just have different labels slapped on at a distribution warehouse.
Let the haters hate Mike, you give them fuel when you bring them up… you did what the customer was able to pay
Do you know what the customer paid no exaggeration half of what it normally would be +100 bucks
@@PipeDoctor good for you Mikey. Sometimes we have to do what the customer can afford, you could’ve walked away but bills need to paid
Great job, Mikey!
Ty
greatvideo! you worked with what you got and got the job done!
Thanks!!
Nicely done Mike!
Thanks so much!
Awesome job. Excellent customer service.
Thanks again!
yep, you know what I forgot. Dez Nuts!
In your mouth!

Good job
Thank you
Nice job as always. You always put your customers first.

Not in HVAC but I enjoy your content. That dude better call you back for a yearly maintenance check
I hope so but no freebies
Mikey pipes that’s some nice work… keep it up.
Thanks, will do! That’s the plan baby
Quick and dirty. I like it.
Exelent, and always happens to me went I do the flairs
Gotta do what ya gotta do. I was trying to warn ya about the flare nut but then I realized I'm talking to the phone lol
And then you realized it’s reality TV
Great job
Thank you!
Back in the old days we put r12 in one end and let it out the other, to purge all the air out, then charged it up and you were good. no vac pump, nothing. LOL
Aces Mikey u did right by that guy!
Good job!
Thanks!
@@PipeDoctor Consistent quality: admirable. Good motto: if ya ain't test'n, you're guess'n.
Good job cleaning up a real mess!
Thank you!
Nice job Mikey, something you have to do what you can to get the job done,
Listen, at the end of the day, I drove 20 minutes to this customers location I verified the customers issue I diagnosed and offered options, the customer couldn’t afford the proper way of doing things it’s not like we’re violating EPA rules here we are delivering a service that the customer has in their budget and we’re getting paid.
Appreciate you Mikey P! F the haters, thanks for keeping it real. Again F the haters.
Always
Lucky customer. Great job.
Ty
Hey pipes. Nice work bud. I try to prevent having the connection behind the unit. Always easier to drill the hole on the right side and connect copper on the out side of the house.
Agreed. I always bring the lines and connections outside. This wasn’t my install.
Nice job Mikey.... Good for you on your decision to unblock the people... I think it shows a bigger man to take the criticism....
AWESOME Detective Work And Repair Mike. 👍 If Your Not Calling Pipe Doctor / Mikey Pipes / Mr. D Your Getting Screwed.
I don’t know why why they don’t call Pipe Doctor to begin with because if they don’t, they’re getting royally hammered right in the keister
Real world repair nice 👍🏼 work. You were limited by his budget and you got it done ✅ 😊
Thanks 👍
Way to go Mikey….it is what it is.
Sure is!
Economy refrigeration sells that stand
eBay?
Economy in flushing
You are the man
Far from the man, but thank you.
That Blueridge system looks like a Midea made system which also makes the Bosch and Pioneer Mini split systems. I have the Bosch 12000 BTU heat pump mini split i installed in my master bedroom last spring and i have been fairly happy with it so far.
Lol. I saw that nice nice flare... noooo fittings. Gotta love it
I love it
I love that flaring tool.
Me too it’s awesome
It’s working
👍
He got a bargain repair! Nice job!
Yes he did
Nice job Mike. I did not know you can restrict the trolls.
Yeah, you can block and restrict people from commenting
Love it, I fucking had that happen the other day so pumped to use my flare tool then saw my flare on the unit (F.M.). That humming sounds like money until you have to do it twice. Still way faster than regular flaring tool. No fluffy BS here Keeping it real GOOD Job My Man
Thanks for posting
I love my navac.
I've had to go back on so many installs by others over the years because of the flare fitting not seating properly, and the installer not pressure testing it because they 'trust' the factory flare.
I've never trusted those flares, I always make new flares on the line set. Also always recommend using the FlareMate gaskets (or others like them) for mini-split flare connections. They've cut down on flare recalls drastically.
People don’t know how to operate a tool properly
Great job Mike. U hod no problem? With that short line set
H probably didn't use the normal full charge, Mikey's a sharp guy he added enough to get'er done and no more.
You saved the day for someone, question.. what do you think about that particular unit/brand? Im considering getting a 2 zone one. Thanks
I have zero feedback or comments on the brand.
This is refer service, this could have been done in 2hrs so crunching down for 1 is a hugeeeee favor. That's love lmao
Thank you for acknowledging the effort! Your support means a lot.
you ever come into Brooklyn on New Utrecht and in the 70s street there’s warehouses that sell these split units thousands of these they sell every week all Asian non-licensed contractors. It’s unbelievable.
they come with these big trucks. Every single tool needed in them trucks no lettering no commercial plates. They’re lined up on New Utrecht every single morning, especially now the season is starting
Hacks will continue to bring me stacks
@@PipeDoctor #ALWAYS
8:28 it only gets worse...... also wtf is with the routing on this unit..... Mikey is that drain tube Fing useless because the unit is in the basement? This unit looks like it installed with the beer payment method and the beer was clearly paid upfront.
Cheap beer no less
I have repaired so many of those Amazon special split systems that diy guys install.
I’ve tossed many of them too
You ever consider brazzing instead of flares? Also quick connect fittings are life savers
removing the flares on anything, generally voids the manufacture warranties on the spot. if you do braze, they generally want you to use bare line and braze to pre-flared stubs or still flare the ends.
at 8:36 I tried yelling, " wait, you forgot the flare nut", but my voice doesn't travel back in time. 🤣🤣
lol 😆
Getting it done,it's war out there!
Eff the haters, it's not the critic who counts.
In the arena, a speech by teddy Roosevelt ,READ IT!
EFF THE CRITICS!
Yeah I’ve done it to forgot they’re not
The blessings of stacks by jibroni’s that hack.
There's nothing wrong with doing repairs that are "good enough" when the customer is on the same page and understanding. It's actually the right thing to do in situations when budget is a concern. If it's safe and it works, understood by the customer, it's good. Many people have been fed by farmers that fixed their equipment in the middle of the field.
Almost looks like Franklin square... Especially with the planes flying over so close
Nope, Queens
Mini splits generally need a min 6ft/2m lineset to prevent short cycling
Is that a universal rule across all brands
@@PipeDoctor i cant speak for the system you fixed up, but a lot of the brands available here (Australia 🇦🇺 ) eg; fujitsu, daikin, mitsubishi, panasonic
all have similar requirements for the minimum installed lineset length in their literature.
Got that tailgate warranty on this one for sure
No. It’s a legit service call. Receipt. Taxes and all. I gave a break on the labor.
Awsome repair!
I’m surprised u even attempted to repair that shit show 😂😂😂
Great content usual
Thanks!
Man that mini split install looks like crap, but you did better job then that hack job who installed it
Mike nice job would have done the same thing..A lot better than the last guy Lol
I like blueridge splits, whays your opinion of them MP?
I have NO opinion of them
I was also impressed with the quality of the line set insulation, almost on par with Mitsubishis insulation. Mr Cool seems to brag about theirs , but it's junk. The sun dissolves it within a season
Pipe doc, i came across a split heat pump unit that heats perfectly all winter without problems. But come sunmertime in AC mode, she'll freeze up the evaporator a couple times a week. Pressures are good. Could it be a faulty txv or eev in the indoor evaporator ? Any input would be super appreciated, thank you!
Maybe a thermistor issue?
Hacks stacks baby
YOUR DA MIESTRO !!!
Yeah?
I hate when I forget the flair nut . Lol
Me too
Should be very interesting to hear the trolls remarks . I will have my popcorn ready
in general, too short a line-set makes more compressor/refrigerant noise transfer to the indoor coil(it's like a large speaker). it can also ramp up and down in surges, instead of slow changes with enough gas/liquid buffering in the lines. it could possibly set error codes if it start surging/flooding too much.
you did about all you could given the totally hacked up butcher mess you were handed. 🤔
Yup 👍
Homeowner installed that
Well, you know an HVAC professional did not install that
SOOO TRUE,,CALL HIM KINKY !!
I was yelling you forgot the nut my wife yelled at me shut up lol oh and my personal belief is the home owner installed that there was just to many faults for a company to do justy opinion have a good day
I know I was yelling at myself too
Good job this unit is probably a rebadged gree just like the Mr cool mini splits where the come with what they call recharged linesets and just tell the consumers coil up the excess linesets and don't vacaum the system.
And the ubtus come recharged with refrigerant but the consumer should have called you to do the linesets and instalation VS paying whoever did that hack job of an instalation and would ended up saving money anyway paying you to install it cut the linesets corectly flare vacaum down to 300 microns and release the charge from the condenser good job and you can always come back later on and cycle the rest refrigerant back into the compressor and vacaum it down to spec later on.
Mikey we all make mistakes! And F# the hater’s
what a mess that installer did. yea one must follow customers wishes. Thank goodness other guy never came back.
Yeah he really fucked it up
Who gives a shit about 500 microns, you got it done. What a mess to deal with, Jesus.
thanks! I was waiting for your comment!
Dang I haven't been commenting..Was I on the block list? I have been in facebook jail a time or two.....
the lineset with white insulation shouldnt be used for refrigeration... once the inside of the foam insulation gets wet it causes a chemical reaction with the copper and causes pinholes in the piping
So Mikey pipes we fast forward you blowing through stop signs and red lights???😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did you catch them? I’ll give you $5 for each
good i do same it work get pay move on lol
Yup 👍
No Nylog??? Shouldn't you lick it before you stick it ??
Have you seen the price of copper today? Today's copper market price is $4.89 per pound.
NO WAY!!!!! SERIOUS??
Only if they had pressure tested🤦🏽♂️
Yeah imagine that
Wow how sht was that installed my 13 year old son could do better 😂 Great job bringing that back to life Mike😎👍
Thanks 👍
Hacks bring you stacks mikey, keep it pushin, fuck the haters
i bet the first guy never torqued the flare nuts
Torqued what’s a torque wrench?
@@PipeDoctor lol a lot of guys don’t torque the flare nuts , I’ve done so many I have the numbers burned in my brain . 1/4-13
3/8-30
1/2-46
5/8-56
800$ repair in an hour? Did I hear that correctly?
Best to hire someone that knows mini splits so there is no big ass loop of copper tubing hanging off back side.
I think he realize that after he paid this guy
Well you have max min line sets so a coil hanging there is sometimes usual should be mounted to the wall properly, but you check it first before using it.
Where you at Johnny Sunshine he unblocked you. :)
