Been enjoying your updates for months now, my first time to comment! I actually got sad for a bit today watching because you’re almost done, and my daily badbat check-ins are coming to an end soon. Thanks for making me think I could do this one day. I’m a 50 year old mom of 4 grown kids and your humor and tenacity has been terrific to watch. ❤
You can do the hike! I hiked the A.T. at 36 years old, again at 48 Years old and I hiked 1000 miles of the PCT at 54. You can do it, don't let anything hold you back.
You have shown incredible time management skills through hiking all day and being able to make videos. This woman is gonna be very successful in life. Super impressive👍👊🇺🇲.
Awesome I new you could do it I've been busy and missed some days but when I saw you made it I had to jump ahead and congratulate you I will go back and watch the rest of the videos I know you have gain a lot from this journey may it help you with the rest of your life 👍🦇
I know I’ve said it before, but it just amazes me at how naturally this comes to you now! You just kind of take it as it comes…you get tired, but you never really complain about the next climb. It is easy to see that at this point, you have come to love it! You are such fun to watch…hope it is not so much of a let down not to have the mountains to climb when you get home.
You are absolutely amazing, and regarding your excitement upon reaching a peak, your refreshingly spontaneous celebration provides even more color to the stunning videography, painting an image that allows me, in a small way, to experience the wind, cold, heat and myriad sensations you are experiencing firsthand. Really looking forward to your final day but mostly I’m looking forward to tomorrow. One step at a time, yeah?
The lines on some of the rocks fascinate me. The junior hill is at least a senior in my eyes. The Honey Bears would make nice gifts to bring home if you didn't have to worry about carrying them and/or attracting real bears.
Hope the weather has settled down and you can enjoy the "trail" instead of "stream/mud" I have learned something that might help you on the slick, wet rocks, slabs. Bear Grylls (very experienced guy in extreme situations=British seal team) He said to put a sock over your shoes. It gives you more grip!!! I just watched him do that on TV.
One question that I have thought of for your post trail vids is regarding hiking alone versus hiking with a parter/ group. I know that it was your plan to start the trail solo, which is very common. Many people have partners, family members, friends, etc. who just cannot commit to the time/ money away from work and home. You accepted that, but you seemed to struggle with it somewhat. You seemed happiest when you were with a partner or a group. It seems clear that it partly because u are more of a extrovert than an introvert, but can you elaborate more on that?
Windy-Bat! Saddleback! 4-Peaks! That mountain was just beautiful. Love the low, wide, granite slabs nestled in grassy beds next to flat foot paths. And how cool was hiking through actual clouds as they slithered over those crests? Maine is just a stunning state and their trails appear to be beautifully maintained. Shout out to the trails maintenance crews & agency foresters out there for preserving the resources while keeping the hikers safe. That was a cool one, BadBat.🦇🪨☁️

Bc I know youve already summited, I feel like I can relax more while watching your updates. 😆
Love the cloud blowing through the gap. I always astounds me when you point out where you came from earlier that day - always seems so far!

You seem like a seasoned long-distance hiker now, which you are. Beautiful scenery! 🚶🏼♀️👍🏻🙂
Great weather for hiking. Safe travels.
Good day to do 4 peaks. You're crushing it.

2000 next day?

It seems so odd that you are still running into fellow NOBOs that you’ve never met along the way!
They may have passed her while she was on vacation in NY city, or at a hostel/hotel. ✌️
