I always enjoy listening to your top 5' s , I'm surprised and glad to hear that Duncan made the list most people only remember the rocks and say the rest of the state is boring and yes our mountains are not as high as other states I think are tallest point is near Breeze wood which is no were near the AT oh by the way I just saw that Reese's peanut butter cup has a new flavor they added Carmel 😋 hey I just looked it up and the highest point in Pa is Mt Davies in western Pa
Back in the day Harpers Ferry had NOWHERE to stay and they weren't really friendly to hikers but there was a supermarket at the other end of town which you really needed a ride to. It was like 3 miles from the river. Great video, good info.
12:49 There is a Walmart and many other supermarkets in Charles Town, just 5 miles west of Harper’s Ferry. You could probably Uber there or hitchhike. But no public transit.
Great video. Glad you liked Harpers Ferry. I used to live 3 miles from there and often rode my bike on the AT to Harper's and walk over the railroad bridge into the town

An interesting video might be - what do you think you did differently (on trail, prep, or what) that caused you to complete the trail while the vast majority quit? Do you think it’s a deeper/more inherent quality? I just thought it might be interesting to explore.
I was like... Oh, yeah! I remember that town (for every town)!!! So nice to walk down memory lane with you. The best part, though, is learning how many wonderful people there are out there in America taking care of hikers & visitors alike with their beautiful hostels & shops & immense kindnesses. During this dark time in history, both your thru-hike vlogs and post-hike vids have renewed some of my faith in humankind. Not kidding. I remember all those towns-I think I probably missed you by two days at Harpers Ferry (might have been 8, but I think it was two). I was there on a Monday after spending two days at Shenendoah. Lots of good food in Harpers-

If you don't feel like sending a resupply box to Harper's Ferry WV, here's another strategy to deal with the lack of resupply: just go hog wild and eat out a lot there. Go out to eat and have a restaurant meal, and hit the ice cream joint when you arrive and before you leave. Problem solved.
Surprised you did not mention Damascus, but also agree that it only makes sense if you are there on trail days. Erwin, Harpers Ferry and Franklin are much nicer!
Loved this vlog. And so enjoy hearing your delightful excitement filled voice and storytelling. Bad bad, which did you enjoy more sleeping out in your tent in a shelter a hostel or a hotel. And what was your average day mileage be? ❤😊
You should of checked the library to see if they were hiring Seriously tho I was going to ask if you could move to a town on trail which one would it be but I think you answered that!
What did you think about Delaware Water Gap, PA? I hear good things about that trail town. Also, I hope things have "settled down" in your personal life.

Cheap bus takes you from downtown Harpers Ferry to Walmart and back for resupply. Bus driver was great and super helpful.

We drove through Erwin before Halloween. Full-size skeletons were cavorting in yards all over town! It was so cool.

How odd that Harper’s Ferry doesn’t have a resupply. It has the conservatory!?!?
You can hitch into Charles Town to resupply.
