- Tenor Voice Piano Accompaniment of I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM in G Major from the musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR with Karaoke lyrics onscreen (or turn on CC/Subtitles).
G Major is up 5 semitones from the original show key.
I've done this piano accompaniment in G major to reflect a performance in that key (rather than just following the sheet music of the song that is originally in D major)
I Don't Know How To Love Him is a song from the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice Rock Opera Jesus Christ Superstar. The song featured on the concept album which was released in 1970 before the Broadway Opening of 1971 and the West End Opening of 1972.
[Lyrics]
MARY MAGDALENE
I don't know how to love him
What to do, how to move him
I've been changed, yes really changed
In these past few days
When I've seen myself
I seem like someone else
I don't know how to take this
I don't see why he moves me
He's a man, he's just a man
And I've had so many men before
In very many ways
He's just one more
Should I bring him down?
Should I scream and shout?
Should I speak of love?
Let my feelings out?
I never thought I'd come to this
What's it all about?
Don't you think it's rather funny?
I should be in this position
I'm the one who's always been
So calm, so cool
No lover's fool
Running every show
He scares me so
[Instrumental section]
I never thought I'd come to this
What's it all about?
Yet, if he said he loved me
I'd be lost, I'd be frightened
I couldn't cope, just couldn't cope
I'd turn my head, I'd back away
I wouldn't want to know
He scares me so
I want him so
I love him so

The Accompanist has created a collection of Piano Accompaniments of Musical Theatre and Popular music songs.
These Broadway and West End accompaniments have been specifically performed to match the tempos of the original (cast) recordings where possible. These karaoke style tracks have been created to give the audition performer the sound of what is likely within an audition environment where often we are not faced with a full orchestra but simply a pianist. Therefore the songs can sound very different to the fully orchestrated version.
The tracks are designed to be used either in performance or as practice for auditions. You are more than welcome to use the track to create your own RUclips cover of the song. If you could put a link back to this video in your description that would be amazing of you. I'm creating a playlist on my channel page of covers using The Accompanist's tracks so let me know if you do a cover using it and I'll add it to this channel's covers playlist.
