What do you think happened? Also, what should I do with the last 40 breeder and the geckos old plywood tanks? I haven't given them much thought at all, so I'm curious about what you think. Let me know!
Actually yes 30 degrees change is a lot of change. I think it IS the main reason for the death of your catfish. I too suffered through a similar problem. Hope this eases your pain a little bit :)
Hey Tanner, I think it would be a really cool idea to use the old tanks for hermit crabs. I haven’t seen a naturalistic setup for them yet anywhere. I think it would maybe be something different to recreate that kind of beachy/mangrove environment. Also: I really love to watch your videos! They are really relaxing and you are always so creative!
I have kept Catfish before. One of the major things I found out is that over the winter Catfish need a very deep sandy place to burrow for the coldest months. If there was not enough sand at the bottom of your pond, they may not have been able to burry themselves deep enough. When the weather warmed it would have been enough to wake them from under just a thin layer, and the water was likely still a bit too cold for them. My suggestion would either be to dig the pond a bit deeper and lay sand, or to bring them in in the winter time.
I would've recommended having the pond pumps off during the coldest days. Circulating the water out and back into the pond drops the water temperature a lot faster. The deeper the pond the better, rightly or wrongly I am an advocate of ponds having at least one area that is a lot deeper than the rest so that fish have somewhere to go where the water is less exposed to the elements.
IF the pond is in a place where it will freeze over, killing any circulation that will keep a hole open will cut off oxygen to the water. NOT a great idea. Oxygen comes in mainly through the surface. If the volume of water is small, like this pond, shutting off the oxygen will be deadly.

I look forward to the future videos. As for the catfish its probably the temperature change but I would test the water parameters just in case. Catfish being a scaleless fish are more vulnerable to ammonia and nitrite spikes. With the cold weather it slows down the nitrifying bacteria so organic items that had fallen into the water were being broken down at a slower rate. The other theory is that the water isn't deep enough to winterize the catfish. I know the catfish in Virginia go to deeper water and bury themselves in the mud through the winter. Your other fish like your sunfish don't do that. But there isn't much you can do about that at this point. I hope this information helps you with your ponds future endeavors.

I just found your channel and I love it! My dad has a large Koi pond in his garden and one year in the spring, the same thing happened with his pond. Temperatures climb pretty high within a few days and suddenly 3 of his then 13 Kois died overnight. It turned out that due to the sudden warm temperatures, the bacteria in the water filter that helped keep the water free of algae died, and a specific sort of algae had developed in the water, which was poisonous to the Kois. It was a pretty easy fix once we knew that. Had to exchange the filter and that was it. The rest of the Kois thankfully survived and have been striving since.
I totally love it when we check our progress 😂😂 I feel like I am part of this or something, watching your channel all these years, seeing the construction of most of your works and their progress, I feel I know your backyard better than mine 😂 Thank you Tunner ! Serpa for life 😂😂
The warm day could have had them more active and they couldn’t shut down their metabolism fast enough for when it got cold again. Possible that salt run off from the roads/side walks got in your pond and settled at the bottom?
@@SerpaDesign I know it's going to be hard, but it might be worth checking the fish for signs of disease/parasitic infection. As with all open ponds, they can invite unwanted travellers that hitch-hike on birds, toads etc. so it could be entirely possible that an external disease was transmitted. The only other thing I can think of is with the new boost in plant life, their assimilation with the help of nitrifying bacteria was slowed with the freezing weather - leading to an increase in ammonia levels which could still leech into the water as the snow melts. I'm unsure if catfish are too sensitive to ammonia/nitrate level changes but it could be something to keep in mind!
@@noelrodrigo5115 while anything is possible, parasites are not probable. You could be on the right track with a hypoxic event due bacteria shifting from cold/warm/cold.
@@SerpaDesign could you put a heater in the main part of the pond so the temperature doesn’t drop too low and therefore reduce shock with extreme temperature changes with the weather? I live in a tropical climate so I’m not even sure if that’s possible there?
I am so sorry to hear about the catfish. Any loss can be disturbing, the loss of something particularly dear can be devastating, even on a lessor scale. I am by NO means knowledgeable on the subject, but an acquaintance of mine had the same issue with his catfish. The verdict from the experts he consulted was that the pond was not deep enough for the catfish to escape the temperature and the drastic change in the temperature. Please! Take this as hearsay, but you may consider it when looking for answers.
I'm working on a 29 gallon project and should be done with it next weekend if all goes well . Your enclosures are looking great 👍. Keep doing what you do because I'm sure it keeps everyone inspired to keep working too .
Seeing your thriving serene fish in a pond you built yourself would make anyone’s day better! Oh no, so sorry to hear of your catfish!! Hurts my heart 😢 The empty vivs you moved the cresties out of? I personally would put tree frogs in there, I love the sound of frogs at night, Whites tree frogs may be a bit big for those, but there are so many cool species, like glass frogs, from the Dominican etc. I’m getting ready to get tree frogs again, can’t wait! Also can’t wait to see what you’re going to do with those new projects!!! That big one in the garage looks REALLY interesting!!
CAVE GECKO TANK. THE 40 GALLON TANK SHOULD BECOME A CAVE GECKO TANK, MAKE A ROCKY BACKGROUND AND STALACTITES AND STALAGMITES IN THE ROOF AND FLOOR WITH MOSSES AND DRIPPING WATER WITH LIGHT PEEKING THROUGH THE ROOF OF THE TANK
I've come to watch your videos with a deep and profound sense of gratitude for the joy and relaxation you bring me. Thank you, for the love and care that you put into all of this. It really transmits in the work.
Hi Tanner! Petie is so cute! Pancake and Flapjack are interesting looking toads. I looked up Suriname Toads and read how the babies hatch. I hope you will show that if yours breed. That would be interesting to see. I'm sorry about your catfish, but it sounds like there is a lot of good advice for you from other commenters. I'm sure you'll figure it out and I hope there are still babies in the pond. Thank you for sharing!
Hey Tanner, so sorry about the catfish that really sucks. I lost some fish recently and it's never, ever easy. On a positive note, so happy to see the Suriname Toads in their tank finally. Also, regarding the automation of misting, for my mourning geckos (and what I feel like is the inevitable addition of a crestie at some point), I like that hands on interaction and hope that maybe they associate me with food and 'rain'. Especially as they can be real skittish and shouldn't really be handled like with many of the larger geckos. Although for someone who has so many enclosures to look after, I can imagine the difference it makes in terms of daily maintenance and I wouldn't doubt for a second you'd give them any less attention. As for the 40, how about a turtle tank? That would be awesome! And the others, I would love to see you do a set up for mourning geckos. They are so cool to watch especially as they are so social! So much stuff in the works! I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping you don't overwork yourself at any point, can't imagine any of us would complain if you took more breaks but of course you know yourself better than any of us.
Deeper ponds would be a better idea if your going to keep catfish. The deeper depths can help insulate them against sudden water temp changes. The little pond seemed kinda shallow. Volume goes a long ways towards protecting against temp changes. And provides more even warming and cooling. A larger pond with a section that's deeper could give the cats refuge against that sort of thing.
Sorry to hear about your catfish. That is very unfortunate. :/ As for suggestions, I'd love to see one of those spare tanks turned into a dart frog/morning gecko habitat. They are 2 different species that co-exist together as tank mates really well due to one being diuturnal and the other being nocturnal. My summer/fall/winter project this year is converting a 40g Breeder into a a vertical tank for such a set up and would love to get some inspiration from your builds for that due. Thanks again for all the content!
Hey man, I've been a long time viewer but I hardly interact, my condolences to you for your catfish. I'm super excited to see all of your large projects and builds and I can't wait to see what you do! I think your work is amazing and I have been waiting to see somebody with your talent work on a larger scale. I wish you the best of support and just wanted to tell you how inspiring and calming your videos have been for me!
SUGGESTION/challenge for 3rd 40 gallon tank: 1) I think a full aquarium or a mostly aquatic paludarium for an axolotl would be amazing. I've been modeling one and trying to add an 'underground' cave structure as a hide. 2) One thing I like to do as an extra challenge in my vivariums is to only use plants and species endemic to where that animal lives. In the case of the axolotl, they are only found in a few lakes in the Central Mexico region. I love your work, and your micro scapes are other worldly, but I can't always recreate what you do because I don't want to fill my scape with plants from Africa and Asia for a species native to Central America, or vice versa. Kind of like your DIY terrariums you've made from locally sourced ingredients from the forest by your home, try to find ingredients from one place. Obviously substrates may be hard to do, but clean up crews, invertebrates, and plants is definitely manageable. Anyways, I hope you see this suggestion! I'd love to see what you could do with it.
RIP catfish ❤️❤️ Losing animals is so hard. I love Flapjack and Pancake and I hope they are loving their new home. It looks like they are! I think maybe a turtle would be a great addition to your animal family, or like a few people have mentioned, a cave setup with cave geckos or cave fish would be dope. Maybe with some crystals in there? That would look so awesome. Or my favorite, axolotls ❤️❤️❤️ I think they are the ultimate aquatic pets!
Sorrie to hear about the catfish 🥺. For the 40gallon, is non aquatic animals options or no? I'm guessing more no as its a top opening enclosure, but if it you do go that route, maybe some frogs can be nice a communal tomato frog enclosure, maybe a decked out pacman frog, how 'bout dart frogs?(Just gonna throw out some ideas that come to mind for the aquatic side of things, I may go a tad overboard 😅) you could 👉👈 get 1-2 more Surinam and use it to quarantine them before adding them to the new tank if it can hold 1 or 2 more, tho that obviously would be a permanent thing. ... How 'bout a betta sorority? tho, you'd probably need smaller tanks to house them separately to monitor them etc, soo things can happen that leads to them not being able to go in the 40 together, maybe a betta with other species tank mates? Shrimp, snails and some schooling or bottom dwelling species perhaps. Hmm 🤔 how 'bout a nice heavily clutter and or planted tank with 1-3 schooling types in it, like 1 medium to bigish school, or 2-3 staying round about the minimum for them to school, or maybe 1 good sized school that may stick to the top, middle or round the bottom of the tank, then add 1 or 2 fish that work with the schooling species you choose to "fill" the area not occupied by the school 🤷♀️. In memory of the catfish, you could possibly get more and either house them more or less permanently in the 40 or use it as a quarantine / grow tank before moving them to the pond again? I really love the look of Gourami specially ones like Honey Gourami, Dwarf Gourami, Sunset Sunset Gourami, Powdered Blue Gourami and Chocolate Gourami (Can you mix different Gourami? That would make imo a very beautiful community tank if ya can 😋) Some types of corydoras can look quite nice. Some corys I quite like the look of would be Bandit corydoras; Juli corydoras; Panda corydoras; Skunk corydoras and Three striped corydoras. Angel Fish could be quite nice combined with corydoras or other bottom dwellers as I heard Angelfish can be messy eaters, so bottom dwellers may be able to clean up after the Angel Fish (I'd love angelfish as they seem quite beautiful fish to me, plus I'd love to name them after some angels form book series I've read like Feathers and Fire or The Dresden Files). 2 Bolivian Rams also look kind of cute imo hehe. How 'bout some apistogramma? They look quite pretty imo (Tho, I think plenty of animals are pretty or at least cool looking haha) ... Saltwater? Coral tan? Clownfish? Liopropoma basslets; Royal Gramma Fish; chalk bass; firefish; dartfish; flame and longnose hawks; or maybe some types of blennies and gobies. How 'bout canary wrasse? I am just naming ideas now hehe 😅🤔 I might have gone a bit overboard, but I just wanted to rough plenty of ideas out there. I love your videos they are quite relaxing for me, plus I suggest your videos if someone needs some help with tropical bios or at least the aspect of bios in general as they are quite informative imo. I always love watching what you come up with when it comes to hardscapes, plant ideas as well as stocking for some tanks. 🤗 Idk what else to add 😅
I am a newbie to your channel. Love the video. I think "pancake" is so so unusual. I have never seen one before. I love goldfish too. Sorry about your catfish, I am keeping my fingers crossed a baby is in the pond still thriving. Thank you
Hey Tanner what up buddy, sorry about the Catfish but if you're correct about temperature then make your pond deeper for the water is less to susceptible to wild swings from hot to cold. When I was building ponds I cane across the knowledge to make atleast one deep location(usually in the middle) where the fish can hunker down for extreme weather. Also I'm going to attempt my latest vivarium build(yup I'm just like you in that I too have a passion for constructing and design vivariums)to resemble a mangrove water scape with tropical jungle land in the same tank. I'd absolutely love to see your artist eye applied to this idea next! Bty my friend call me The Lorax, and I love seeing what your up to on this channel ttyl
You should maybe get a pleco (idk how to write that) catfish to get rid of the algae and build an aquarium for him in the winter, that would be quite cool. Otherwise, keep up with your builds, they're really cool :)
I really liked the video, and just wanted to comment that I personally love seeing your suriname toads, and would love to see them more. I hope they are enjoying their new enclosure!
I had to show the Suriname (sp?) toads to my spouse. They are a hit!!!! My spouse was even able to tolerate watching them eat, you are amazing. Went down the autistic rabbit hole regarding the catfish. The more I researched, the more convinced I am it was not a single issue but a combination. 1. Not enough sediment for the catfish to properly bury themselves in. 2. Not enough volume to prevent rapid temperature fluctuations. (With global warming affecting winter snowpack, and rapidly changing weather patterns, more volume is needed>probably deeper) 3. Sunfish are more tolerant of water pollutants than catfish. The fact that the sunfish survived the stressors of rapid temperature fluctuations, and three catfish did not (and a baby in the filter) says in addition to the temperature fluctuations, the water quality wasn't ideal. a) possible salt run off b) rapid temp increase possibly depleted oxygen levels in water at the same time as increasing fish activity taxed the beneficial bacteria bio load that survived the winter.
For the plywood vivariums, have you ever made a pass through tank? With maybe slightly different terrain on each side but with a pass through tunnel/cave. Maybe a woodland/river bank type thing. Or desert/oasis.
I am so excited about everything coming up. Man. That's for the updates I was wondering about flapjack and pancake. It felt so nice to see them in their habitat.
the unfortunate thing about hermit crabs is they cannot be successfully bred in captivity which means all pet hermits are taken from the wild and live in sub par conditions :(
Always hard to see the animals we love go, as you know, especially not knowing the exacts, but I love your content, excited to see more. Wish you the best as you honor their memory, and prepare for spring Tanner, Peace.
I don't know how your climate compares but in his younger days Dad built ponds for a number of different people in England (Suffolk mainly) and always said you needed at least one spot to be 6 feed deep for them to overwinter in. This would be wildlife like frogs as well as carp, goldfish or koi. When I made my own small pond in Auckland, NZ, I had one small spot which was six feet deep while the rest was a lot shallower (believe me, it takes some digging to get down that far by hand) and my goldfish never had a problem overwintering though our winters there aren't a patch on those in England. I do know that the inhabitants of the ponds in England survived the winter of 1963/4 when there were 6 foot snow drifts so the depth works. While a friend here in central Ireland has had a lot of success after turning an old swimming pool into a pond with fish and newts (in fact it's ended up as a great breeding ground for newts which is good) and again the deep end means they have survived a number of really hard winters - for Ireland at least - when the place has been frozen with ice for weeks at a time. Even the new newt/frog/other wildlife pond he dug last summer had one little spot that was around six foot deep with plenty of mud on the bottom so they could overwinter in safety. No idea if that applies to catfish but fish is fish when it comes to winter. I know even rice fish need little ponds which are a good 2 foot deep for them to overwinter in northern Japan so the depth might vary with the fish size. Not really looked into it because catfish aren't a breed I'm particularly keen on but it sounds logical.
Man you seem so happy and upbeat! I really feel you in regards to the need to get outside more, I get jittery when I go too long without my nature fix haha
I just stumbled across this channel...this is a hobby? It looks very professional and very beautiful. I don't have any fish or any of these other animals...I just have cats and dogs that I rescued; however, I appreciate this man's talent and love for his animals.
Since you've already got so many lush tanks, why not take up on a more arid bioactive challenge? Would love to see your take on a desert or even a mountain enclosure! Sorry for your loss, hopefully there's a miraculous Petie-like fry in the pond lurking! Aside from water quality and temps, would it be possible that they nibbled on something toxic (like cyanobacteria) in the pond? Not sure if sunfish graze on algae, but it'd be the next logical thing to look at when one species gets demolished while others are fine.
Wellington, what a fitting name for a Bullfrog. No tadpoles?? Pipa pipa, nice. I like treefrogs and African clawed frogs (xenopus laevis) ,not the dwarf ones, the most. Fritz and Seachem products are very good but oh so hard to get in europe. Many american companys wont send oversea.
I would guess that the pool was to shallow for temperature changes that quick too. Maybe build in some artifical caves by using old rain pipes next time that extend a little further down. That way the catfish can escape into a cooler part that is affected slower by temperature rise
Thanks for all the updates! I don't know if the 40 gallon breeder is big enough for this, but what about a cychlid? My wife really loves them and has said that she would like to have some when we own our own place, so I'd like to learn more about them.
Oh no, I'm so sorry. It does seem likely that temperature shock could be responsible. Some species and individuals will be more sensitive than others, so that it affected some and not others wouldn't be unusual, imo. Surprise baby goldies are fun though, hi Petey!
I wish misters worked better... they never do a good job (at least for me) and the nozzles get clogged with minerals, even if you use distilled. I sorta police myself with misting manually so I can check on things :3 Lovely set ups! I'm so sorry to hear about your catfish tho :C
Did the catfish overwinter the previous season (in 2019/2020)? Or were they new to the pond last year and this was their first winter? Was the pond deep enough for them to hibernate and not be disturbed by an unseasonal thaw and re-freeze?
I believe he added those fish when the pond was initially setup, as he had them in a tank for a long while previously, and that would mean they’d have overwintered at least twice before then. Could be wrong though.

"speaking about babies lemme take you inside real quick"
I'm all like expecting to see a crib oh my lord 🤦♀️ what is on my mind lol
Hi Tanner, here is a nice suggestion for you - Mud Skipper! I used to have it in the past. He was amazing and a lot of fun to raise.
I think your first thought makes the most sense. Our pond in situated in a spot where runoff isn't an issue.
The amount of projects this guy does at once and has plans for is the actual dream
I'm working on a 29 gallon project and should be done with it next weekend if all goes well . Your enclosures are looking great 👍. Keep doing what you do because I'm sure it keeps everyone inspired to keep working too .
You love goldfish! Yay! So many u tubers don't!
Sorry about your cat fish.
Hope your feeling better.
Thank you for the update. It's wonderful to see things thriving. Sorry about your catfish. I look forward to see if the frog will return.
Seeing your thriving serene fish in a pond you built yourself would make anyone’s day better!
Oh no, so sorry to hear of your catfish!! Hurts my heart 😢
The empty vivs you moved the cresties out of?
YES
That sounds dope
As for suggestions, I'd love to see one of those spare tanks turned into a dart frog/morning gecko habitat.
When you put your mouth over the frog it killed me dude
Hey man, I've been a long time viewer but I hardly interact, my condolences to you for your catfish. I'm super excited to see all of your large projects and builds and I can't wait to see what you do! I think your work is amazing and I have been waiting to see somebody with your talent work on a larger scale. I wish you the best of support and just wanted to tell you how inspiring and calming your videos have been for me!
SUGGESTION/challenge for 3rd 40 gallon tank:
1) I think a full aquarium or a mostly aquatic paludarium for an axolotl would be amazing.
I came here to quickly like it. I can't watch it right now but I'll definitely watch it later
That would make imo a very beautiful community tank if ya can 😋)
Some types of corydoras can look quite nice.
They look quite pretty imo (Tho, I think plenty of animals are pretty or at least cool looking haha)
... Saltwater? Coral tan? Clownfish? Liopropoma basslets; Royal Gramma Fish; chalk bass; firefish; dartfish; flame and longnose hawks; or maybe some types of blennies and gobies. How 'bout canary wrasse? I am just naming ideas now hehe 😅🤔
I might have gone a bit overboard, but I just wanted to rough plenty of ideas out there.
You have your hands full caring for all your tanks and critters ...so adding a little automation is probably a good idea ! Beautiful tanks and ponds !
Disco crab island! 🕺🏻 🦀 🏝
Bro I was watching the old videos of the pond and suddenly the new video ❤️👍❤️😉😉
Haha nice!
I am from India ❤️
You should maybe get a pleco (idk how to write that) catfish to get rid of the algae and build an aquarium for him in the winter, that would be quite cool. Otherwise, keep up with your builds, they're really cool :)
I really liked the video, and just wanted to comment that I personally love seeing your suriname toads, and would love to see them more. I hope they are enjoying their new enclosure!
I always enjoy you videos! A tank for piranhas would be really cool for the tank the Surinam roads were in!
Nice to see that spring is nigh where you are. I'm looking outside my window at the giant piles of snow. Le sigh.
I love how this channel has evolved! Great improvements in editing, storytelling and music.
(With global warming affecting winter snowpack, and rapidly changing weather patterns, more volume is needed>probably deeper)
3. Sunfish are more tolerant of water pollutants than catfish. The fact that the sunfish survived the stressors of rapid temperature fluctuations, and three catfish did not (and a baby in the filter) says in addition to the temperature fluctuations, the water quality wasn't ideal.
a) possible salt run off
b) rapid temp increase possibly depleted oxygen levels in water at the same time as increasing fish activity taxed the beneficial bacteria bio load that survived the winter.
For the plywood vivariums, have you ever made a pass through tank? With maybe slightly different terrain on each side but with a pass through tunnel/cave. Maybe a woodland/river bank type thing. Or desert/oasis.
I don't know why I smile when I watch your videos. A bit nerdy ... but you appear to be just a good dude. :) Keep doing what you're doing. It's good.
So sorry for the losses :( But really excited about your upcoming builds and projects, they look like they're coming along great so far!
I am so excited about everything coming up. Man. That's for the updates I was wondering about flapjack and pancake. It felt so nice to see them in their habitat.
Try maybe doing hermit crabs in the old gecko tanks
the unfortunate thing about hermit crabs is they cannot be successfully bred in captivity which means all pet hermits are taken from the wild and live in sub par conditions :(
@@phayzzed2974 actually there are several people currently breeding them, but I see your point. They make excellent pets that can live for decades.
Eels. You need a setup with eels in it 😅
Always hard to see the animals we love go, as you know, especially not knowing the exacts, but I love your content, excited to see more. Wish you the best as you honor their memory, and prepare for spring Tanner, Peace.
The random Tanner appearances are becoming one of my favorite parts of your videos🤣🤣
Sorry for your lost of your catfish in the pond glad the pancakes are in their new inclosure looking forward tovthe ones you are working on
I don't know how your climate compares but in his younger days Dad built ponds for a number of different people in England (Suffolk mainly) and always said you needed at least one spot to be 6 feed deep for them to overwinter in.
I'm sorry to hear about your catfish. You're so caring about Nature!!!!
I can't waaaiit for spring. Here in Quebec we're still under several cm of snow so it will be a while before I can do any outdoor gardening 😜
The snow shot, looked absolutely beautiful! Sorry about your fish, it’s always so disappointing
Great video tanner I'm so happy flapjack and pancake can finally get a good home 😊
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets a lot out of the little things when I'm having a bad day. Keep on being awesome dude
Also Pancake and Flapjack haunt my dreams, but I'm fascinated when you show them. Definitely excited to see them reproduce
You should do African Cichlids in the 40 gallon tank. They are SOOOO cool!
Peace and cheers from France
Haven't noticed any arid setups, interested in doing that kind of thing? All kinds of cool arid geckos and lizards.
You live and learn to make better and greater things. Sorry for your loss bro 💔
This channel deserves 1M< subs it's just so good.
Boy are you going to stay busy! It will be fun watching all the progress.
I think duck billed tree frogs would fit really well in your collection.
I think some kind of "floating" underwater hardscape with bright blue fish. Think like a natural fantasy vibe
Great video as per usual but you missed one lil update, how the pea puffs doing?
I would guess that the pool was to shallow for temperature changes that quick too. Maybe build in some artifical caves by using old rain pipes next time that extend a little further down. That way the catfish can escape into a cooler part that is affected slower by temperature rise
i love your frogs tanner! Im sure more people will learn to appreciate those animals because of your videos!
What fascinating toads! Never seen that type before! And that's a lovely setup for them, doesn't even look like there is water in the tank!
Would love to see some desert scapes or dryer scapes with some desert style plants in with some sand eye geckos or horned lizards or something
Just thought I should tell you I love your content it’s always quality. sorry you lost the catfish.I hope the Toads breed would be a fun video.
Can't wait for my pond to thaw out...
❄🥶🌨
My Turtles and Goldfish can't wait either.
Did the catfish overwinter the previous season (in 2019/2020)? Or were they new to the pond last year and this was their first winter? Was the pond deep enough for them to hibernate and not be disturbed by an unseasonal thaw and re-freeze?
That was my gut reaction..
I believe he added those fish when the pond was initially setup, as he had them in a tank for a long while previously, and that would mean they’d have overwintered at least twice before then. Could be wrong though.
@@leah66 Thank you, CleverGirl Pets. I have only been watching this channel for about a year and have also tried watching older videos. But I do miss content at times. :D
Oh man, I'm so sorry about your catfish!
AWWWW Tanner I am so sorry to hear about your pets!!!! I know exactly how you feel I had a 11-year-old pleco and when he passed I was devastated I also buried him I bury all my fish alsoyeah I can't see myself flushing them down the toilet or put them in a bag and in the garbage so I don't respect I kind of I bury them especially if I had them that long You know they become my babies!!! Anyways thank you for the video The ponds look awesome man onward my friend!
To me you are just like that golden fish - when I have terrible day, I watch your videos and they bring smile on my face (:
Petie looks EXACTLY like one of my goldfish, Yue lol! Great video, as always!
10:37 Planted yabby tank :) you should do a cool yabby tank and find a way to plant it so they cant trash the plants :)
A kinde unique idea may be some poison dart frogs! I care for Dendrobates auratus and they are just awesome pets, and I think one of the empty vavariums would fit a small group :)
